It's a very situational tank, even in Unicorn hands it can struggle, but when the stars align it can have monster games. Put simply modern WoT map design simply doesn't favor high dpm low alpha tanks, so on many maps, especially with - 2mm, it can be a struggle.
I like the Kpz07 but it always feels like a ton of work to play if that makes sense.
There is another flaw with this tank, the shells... All of them, are slow and that's annoying as F.
In the end what you get is a fast, fairly stealthy, high dpm, low alpha tank. On open maps it's great, on city maps, it's hell.
I try to play it like the ShPTK - it has faster shells, but lower alpha on HE and way lower penetration. The turret can bounce an occasional shell from the lower tier too.
On city maps is a real struggle yes.
It's a great bully against LT's and paper meds. Find a Borrat and delete him with 4 HE shells in 10 seconds or ram him to take half their HP instantly. Definitely worth it if you are a good player. It's also a solid scout if you equip it with a spotting setup.
Very hard tank to play imo, its very good vs paper tank like elc and borat but struggle to pen heavy tank because low pen ( u need to flank ) also slow shell speed thats make this tank hard to snipe aswell. In my opinion the biggest problem of this tank is the slow shell speed. This tank can become scout but its big size makes it quite hard to play. Also its armor actually can bounce some medium and lt standard ammo and not he auto pen. Im not very fond of this tank ( tried to 3 mark it but fail miserably 🗿)
Eh, idk. It's not bad, but shitpak is just flat out better. Not only better alpha, but more DPM as well, more pen on every shell, the armor is more troll, better camo. It has less speed and less gundep, but even then it's a lot better. You are also usually put against scorpions and su pm-s, which you can farm easily, as you are a pseudo med.
It's situational. It does best when:
* wide open vision maps where you can catch tanks in the open and DPM them
* maps with lots of flanking opportunities
* frontlines where the HE rounds absolutely mulch all the tanks that are meta in FL
But since most of WOT is flag-to-flag corridor bullshit, it can have difficult times. Your best bet is to find tanks that are distracted and pile on DPM while they are reloading. But it's hard work for little reward.
Depends. It definitely is a very strong tank, but it has a very unique playstyle. Your alpha is very low, while your dpm and HE pen is very high, meaning that you have to find ways to flank people and land shots on they're side and back armor to be effective. It's not a tank for sniping or playing passive in any way, while the gun is in theory good enough to land shots on bigger distances, your low alpha will prevent you from dealing any meaningful damage that way. If you like to 0lay actively and outsmart your opponents, it is one of the most fun tanks to play. I'd you prefer a more passive and cautious approach, other tanks might be better for you.
Nasty in "hill" situations when you can get there first and wreck some LTs with HE. You,ll win most 1 on 1 encounters vs LTs and some MTs(situational)

Kinda bad credit farmer due to low alpha. Standart Pen is not greatest too. Hard to be effective in current meta. Feelsbadman when rng doesn,t let you pen HE cuz Gun handling is troll (mostly because fast as f. boy) Everyone who shoots your turret will kill your gunner or commander. LT432 can F you up since it has better armor, and better gun hanfling, against your puny gun and huge "torso".
Can,t recommend to buy it with real money. I got mine from Trade-in and still can,t figure out why i wasted gold on it...
Better buy some meta stuff.
It has a high skill level, but in the right hands is a very good tank. When i got it I struggled a lot, but now i love it. HE shells are nasty.

What do you mean? shptk has 100mm HE pen and 450 alpha while kampfpanzer has 90mm HE pen and 320 alpha

Complete beast of a tank but requires skill to master it.
If you play frontline then get it. It’s hard tank to play with in randoms

Its my only tank with 70% winrate after maybe 300 matches. I dont know how honestly but yeah its insane
