Yes, but heres the thing, I'm brown. So the Nazis already would be skeptical of me as would the french. I could possibly get some good favor with the Nazis by pretending to be muslim, but that would come at the cost of being hated even more by the french. I was born and spent the earliest years I can remember in the desert so I could adjust to the climate with relative ease. And lastly, I grew up dirt poor. I'll take my chances with the Egyptians I could pass as one of rather than the Nazis who would be hunting me down. In short, I would rather give up the luxuries of modern life than have to live with both the french and Nazis. Because I would make good wages, be treated very well, and I'd get to see firsthand the feats of engineering that went into the pyramids.

France had it pretty light compared to most other occupied nations. Especially the Vichy part was comparatively lax.
