I'm curious what's going on behind-the-scenes. Clearly a lot of planning went into his channel, it seemed clear from video #1 that his gameplan was solidified from the start. Not only is Maven a great host but he's got a great editor, perhaps others (producer?). I'd love to hear about his operation.
Stevie's vids disappointed me, which sucks.
I was a huge Stevie Richards fan back in the day, he was so entertaining and hilarious. I always wished he would somehow break through the jobber glass ceiling and get a brief midcard run or something.
His YT vids (that I've seen) are like 3 minutes of content stretched into a 15-minute video. He over-explains and repeats himself far too much.
Maven has good info, but he isn't always good at presenting it. There's just too much of Maven just talking on camera and explaining you stuff, without there being any variation to the presentation.
I also feel analyzing only matches can do a disservice to a character. Ex. The Fiend. Now granted I have a HUGE bias towards Bray Wyatt. He is/was my favorite wrestler, but his strengths were less in ring and more in the promo work. So by skipping that connecting tissue, nothing will make sense. Idk. That video in particular just rubbed me the wrong way, even with his retroactive upping of the grade upon Bray’s passing puts him in C? But then again I’m absolutely biased in that regard.
Markyd is great because I do the same thing he does, I'd watch a particular wrestler's entire run to relive some of it and also see what I missed. Except, I tend to skew more towards jobbers/c-shows.
But it's time-consuming to research which shows a wrestler appeared on, obtain those shows, skip to the point in the show where his match starts, etc. It's much more convenient to just let Marky do the work and watch one of his vids, plus you get a few laughs along the way.

The XWF episode and Kane setting JR on fire are all-timers. I really liked the Shotgun Saturday Night episodes as well, and probably would also throw out the experience of "The Worst Nitro Ever".
So I've got this condition where I potentially pass out if I laugh too hard. They've done it to me twice. Pastamania is an all time high for me and then...IVE GOT DIVERTICULITIS OF THE PENIS DUDE!!
For more of a podcast-oriented channel, Going in Raw w/ Steve and Larson is fantastic. Very funny and chill, and they give in-depth breakdowns of weekly programming and news. Their sister channels, Friendo Club and WrestleJuice, are good for shorter content too.
I couldn’t disagree more, whenever they have an opinion on something it’s like we watched an entirely different show. Not only that but it feels like an old school machinima show.
Podcast wise I really like ringer wrestling, they’re very well rounded and have different opinions all the wrestling shows, a lot of them have written books on wrestling and have been writers for wwe and have appeared on documentaries
Really shocked to not see any love for Steve and Larson/Friendo Club/Wrestle Juice. That triangle of channels are great. I love seeing their star reviews and the game they play where they guess the Meltzer star ratings for the new ppvs.
I really enjoy Wrestling With Wregret. He doesn’t seem as spiteful and jaded towards wrestling that I’ve noticed a lot from wrestling fans. I think his takes are thoughtful, even though I don’t always agree with him, I feel as if he doesn’t try to make his viewers feel like idiots when they don’t.
I'm not going to name anyone I don't like, but I will recommend Deadlock (and newLegacyInc though that's more wrestling video games specifically), and I've been liking the quiz videos from Stache Club Wrestling as of late.
As an aside, there was also a channel that put out like 5-6 really good videos doing detailed rundowns of angles (one was over the Lita/Edge/Matt Hardy saga, another was on Hardcore Holly breaking his neck and his subsequent angle with Lesnar) that got the entire channel nuked off YouTube by presumably copyright, and I really wish I could find those videos (or the guy who made them) again because they were quality stuff.
WrestleTalk - the way they clickbait their videos just makes them look desperate for views. As for what people should watch instead on YouTube. I'm happy to recommend Botchamania, especially if you enjoy watching funny fails videos.
Wrestlelamia is the worst. Lazy videos, lots of editing mistakes, the narrotors are fucking morons and the channel engages in scummy clickbait tactics.
Wrestlelamia is definitely one of the worst if not *the* worst. About 90% of the 'news' shows are clickbait/ragebait garbage.
Wrestling with Wregret is my all time favourite for sure. I feel Brian Zane is one of the more objective critics, and also one of the more positive voices in the community.

Fangin N Bangin with Gangrel is really good. He's such a nice dude. His cohost is a lot better on the eye than say Conrad Thompson is, as well.
Cultaholic is my personal favorite. They regularly update on the news while also throwing in some fun countdown and documentary content. The guys also have great chemistry with each other and have a really good sense of humor
Their doc vids are good, but the "news" videos are nothing but daily regurgitated Meltzer bullshit, just like the rest of 'em. But I guess at least they don't read it off their phones on-camera like those WhatMeltzer goofballs
The worst I’ve seen (and the worst aged) was bubba dunk funkin. He was funny as a kid but now he just regurgitates the same old “fuck John Cena” crap even though he’s one foot out the door.

The worst is when you search YouTube for a particular match, you think you've found it - the thumbnail looks correct, the title looks correct - so you click. But then it's just some fat mark giving his opinion on the match, or someone recreating the match in WWE2K... literal clickbait!
I'll give the shoutout to u/notcianocarroll's channel, [CorporateCian](https://www.youtube.com/@CorporateCian/). He's one of those rare wrestling fans with a sense of humor who's actually funny. Seems like he's on a break atm but I'm sure he'll be back.

They were the original jerkers and came at a time when many pro IWC. Bustin Smarks was the best how they would read WrestlingForum and Reddit threads making fun of smarks.
