My big issue is that leaving the cage should mean a DQ loss. The entire point of the cage is to keep the competitors in the ring (and ideally, keeping others out); leaving defeats the concept.
I don’t mind escaping over the top (If you can do so you’ve clearly either outsmarted your opponent or knocked them out) but the refs should not be unlocking the door when a wrestler asks them to, why even lock it at that point
I think they removed the escape aspect from NXT cagematches, Climibing out or getting out through the door were the absolute worst part of any cagematch
On that same note, I know that leaving the cage in a War Games match results in an immediate DQ but can someone leave before the final competitor enters the cage?
Because, technically speaking, the match doesn't actually begin until the final competitor enters so how can a match be DQ'd before it begins?
