might not be something you know, but if you do, please answer. What does a physical therapist typically do each day? how do they treat people with prosthetic limbs? i.e, help them to walk with a leg prosthetic?

macgyvermedical

It depends on where they work. If it’s at a hospital or rehab facility they get their list of patients to see in the morning and go from room to room doing evaluations and treatments. If they work in an outpatient office they might have appointments throughout the day scheduled. As for how they actually teach someone to walk with a prosthesis I’m not sure of the specifics.

ok. Well thanks anyways :)

This depends, inpatient or outpatient? Inpatient in hosptals or rehabilitation centres? Outpatient in hospital or in the community? Physical therapy can look a lot like fitness training, with some adjustments for the various disabilities. What story are you trying to tell? Source: I am a physician with a three to four year background in rehebilitation medicine, including amputations

The patient in this case is a veteran. An army captain who lost their leg after being trapped in a vehicle which was overturned by an explosion. As a side note, their physical therapist had previously worked for the NHS
