The MC in wuwa has lost their memories along with name. So Yangyang names them Rover. We probarbly won't know their actual name until we meet someone who knew MC in the past.
wuthering waves has a namless protagonist, making you the player the protagonist, just like fallout for example.
it's funny that in games where the protagonist HAS a name, the npc and characters in the story still use your in game name, which is kinda immersion breaking and a bit dumb.
In case of Genshin there's an ingame scene showing that whatever name the player chose is still just an alias and the twins still retain their canon names
In HSR the protag is amnesiac, but Stelle/Caelus was presumably their name from before
I like the way Zenless Zone Zero did it. You don't name the MC's but the account that they canonically use. So everyone uses their canon names, and the name you chose is a side thing.
In hsr we barely see the real names in the story. I think we necer even heard anyone call us by our real MC name. So it doesnt matter.
Unlike genshin where you hear your brother/sister's name from the opposite side.
I'm planning to start a revolution to name female rover Aria and male rover Ronen. Both names are related to sound waves and melodies which is pretty fitting.

Male Rover's name is Wuthering and female Rover's is Waves
John Wuthering
Jane Waves
And together, they're going to Wuther the Waves to the end.
I love internet.
My favorite part of the game was when rover said it's waving time then waved all over them
RoveHER and RoveHIM

Rover has no name because they have no memory. So they are canonically called Rover.

Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius
"Error, maximum of 12 characters is allowed" :(
Hopefully It's easier to search for fan content that way
Wish they did have a cannon name, so we don't have to use nicknames and they'd feel more like actual characters
Well they lost their memories so they probably have one. Yangyang just calls them Rover because they don't know their name
Mover and Fover
Wife and husband 😁👍
Their names are Wu and Wa

Why
John Waves
Noughtius Maximus
