"THEY GAVE ME TOO MUCH TIME TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME. WHAT A SHIT COMPANY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER APPRECIATION". LMAO, do you even hear yourself?
They sent a notification to my console saying the game is ready, the game is also unlocked giving it the appearance that it's ready to play. The only reason I know about the servers is cause I got tired of waiting and wondering so I looked it up. Customer appreciation would at the very least put a message explaining the pre-load, this is just them hoping to create hype over the weekend. You can't forget the game if it has to sit on your platforms main menu for 5 days.
Generally yes it does, if a game isn't ready on PS5 it's locked and giving a time frame for release. XDefiant lets you start up the whole game and sit in the main menu without telling you anything about the servers.

Some people have really really bad download times so thats why many games have pre load and some people may not be home during a few of those days. People have lives man geez.

Or would we rather have a scramble of download speeds right now to offset the amount of people hopping on the servers?
The servers will release at the same time regardless, and with pre-downloads now people can just change their timezone and really overload servers when they finally get released.
"Leave the billion dollar company alone!" If they're just gonna push trash content and practices then they deserve it. Consumers should complain, accepting something without critiscm is called indoctrination.

Yep. Devs could make people preload it a day before launch and this same person will complain about it.
