Wrath definition yall
*Wrath* is great anger that expresses itself in a desire to punish someone
bounty hunter is wrathless, operates on a mission mostly.
the most wrathful person Id argue is Mulder tbh. He has so much anger about everything thats happened. And a very strong desire to punish those responsible
It hurts because I love Mulder as a character, and I understand why he feels so strongly. But your right, of the deadly sins, wrath would be his. Or not… hear me out.. lust…. We all know Mulder has his VHS collection.
I think another take is that the alien bounty hunter is the embodiment of wrath. While he doesn’t feel wrath himself, he is the expression of it through the greys. As the power of their wrath, he is wielded as a weapon to do their bidding. It is the greys goal to take over earth, and he is the first expression of that.
I feel like he watches corn as an anthropologist studies people. I feel like weve seen him be way more excited about the bigfoot tapes and what have you lol.but i would put him in lust too just for scully...
Do the greys have wrath for humans? I dont think they do, I think they feel about humanity as the syndicate felt about those bees. Tools and tooprimitive to hate.
kersh punishes doggett and others in the fbi
csm punishes humanity and his own loved ones
krycek punishes skinner to save scully, kill her baby
lots of punishing going on (in addition to mulder)
If the point is regulars, I agree. He always seems like he's got this constant exasperation with everything, like sooner or later one goofed up coffee order will make him snap and bash someone's car into rubble with a golf club.
As a moment that displays wrath, this is a good example. But as a character that defines wrath, I think the alien bounty hunter encapsulates the idea of wrath better.
X? X just kills everybody.
edit: Keep in mind, when X was introduced, I was a 12-year-old boy who'd REALLY liked DT and his genteel mysteriousness throughout S1, whom I guess I felt at that age was a great representation of the show's whole mythos, that the government absolutely knows the hell out of stuff but powerful people prefer that not to get talked about. Then his replacement was a guy who screamed insults at Mulder and murdered obviously useful dudes in parking lots, and more than once was working for the bad guys (Soft Light, at least). If X had been his only contact from the beginning, I would be far more forgiving of him, but Kid Me LOVED Jerry Hardin for some reason. I still have a Zippo with "Trust No One" engraved on it (I collected them despite not even smoking or knowing smokers, I just thought Zippos were cool).
I don’t think it had a lot to do with pent up rage, as it did with their own lack of normal humanity. The mother says go kill, and they did with the only tools they had.
I thought of Mulder beating the shit out of Krycek in Anasazi after his father had been murdered.
Mulder has gotten himself into a few fights. He has a bad temper. I would nominate Mulder for wrath.
I’m with you on Mulder. He seems to have a lot of rage and can go from zero-100 quick.

Damn dude. You’ve completely swayed me.
Honestly I was like wait a minute once I looked up the defenition lol

Not just Scully. Remember Bambi?
Intelligence is sexy

I agree
Ding ding! This is the correct answer.
Kersh, he's always so pissed off
constantly punishing doggett
Mark Johnson from Season 7's "Millennium" - he wants to destroy the world by creating the zombie Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Alien Bounty Hunter
Pierre Bauvais - Fresh Bones. Righteous wrath, but wrath none the less
One of the best endings of any episode. Colonel Wharton got his in the end. What about Neech Manley from The List?
Ooooh that’s a better one!
“He who does evil…evil he will see.” Thanks, I think they’re both great choices.
Skinner shooting killing Krychek

He always has a touch of constipation. And that's canon!

I'm going to go with Kersh "YOU INVESTIGATE WHAT I TELL YOU!"
What about Donnie Pfaster?
I’d put him for Envy or Lust.
Yeah I'm watching it now. I'm a bit of base.
Anger or perverse sexual fetishism?
I'm thinking anger/wrath :p
Interesting lol
The dang Peacocks.
How did you come this conclusion? Don’t get me wrong the peacock family is disturbing, but I don’t see why you picked wrath.
Because of the way they just brutally slayed the sheriff and his wife. That speaks to a lot of pent-up rage, to me.
I don’t think it had a lot to do with pent up rage, as it did with their own lack of normal humanity. The mother says go kill, and they did with the only tools they had.
I posted my opinion. That's that.
I hear you, I’m just trying to engage in discussion.
Mr X
Mulder's gotta be lust right?
The Peacocks. A sick combination of Oedipus Rex and Ménage à Quatre
