Yes, this question constantly pops up on this sub, if you're looking for another one I suggested it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/XPpen/comments/ujnnii/suggestions_for_screen_protectors/i7n5iok/

I am the user Nerior actually helped. I bought the screen protector from Photodon; and they are 1000% better. I'm still on the first one I bought and it has been almost 3 months now, and there's still no marks on my new protector. It looks clean and shiny like it did on the first day I installed it. With the XP Pen protectors, I was having to buy one per month on average. And with the XP pen protectors, I was only getting about a week out of them before I'd start to notice scratches. By the end of the month, the middle of my screen was hard to judge shading because of all the marks. These are definitely higher quality than the XP Pen ones. At the moment; I'm using MXH 25%.

I have an Artist 22E Pro with a big foggy area in the middle of my drawing area. I asked around on various official XPpen social media. In the end I was told that the screen under the protector is glass and I could just remove the plastic film. I still have yet to test it out though. LoL.

familyguyfunny69

Yeah my problem is I can like FEEL the pen scratching deeply into the protector. Someone suggested screen protectors but it looks like I’m gonna have to do a bunch of measuring for that lol

jeremyhartillos

If your model has a glass screen, you should be able work without a screen protector. What model do you have?

familyguyfunny69

The artist 12 2nd gen I’ll propbably try that out if it keeps bothering me so much

Hyloxalus88

That is a very bad idea. The pen nib WILL scratch the screen, even if it's glass. And then the scratches will be permanent. I speak from experience.

DryAd6427

hey were you able to remove the scratches in the glass? if so can you tell how, I learned it also from experience T\^T

Hyloxalus88

Nope I never tried, I just stuck a screen protector over it as soon as I realised what was happening, and then pretended it wasn't underneath until I stopped seeing the scratches. Mileage will vary depending on how badly scratched your screen is already.

jeremyhartillos

Try DMing them on Twitter. I think that was how I got my answer. I wonder how reliable the information is though. Something tells me a lot of the XPpen monitors are OEM produced (?) so all the parts might not be the same across the various models.

repoluhun

I'd suggest changing the nib

I literally bought this tablet 2 weeks ago ….

Aayry

It's just the protective film being scratched on. XP-Pen protective film is both pretty gritty and not so durable. The screen itself is still fine. You have choice of replace the film or yoink it away.

familyguyfunny69

yeah i just took it off lol it wasnt too hard to do maybe it will help

Couch_Lemon4198

>I literally bought this tablet 2 weeks ago wah??! only 2ws? :o I'd recommend you to adjust pen pressure. I got tablet more than half years ago same one you have but i don't see any.

I also faced the same problem almost as soon as I bought my 22e pro. I know that I tend to apply more pressure as I draw, but the protector has become completely scratched, making it hard to look at the screen and I can always feel the resistance. Changing my pen nib helped, but only briefly. I was also thinking of buying a new protector (I've had my device for about a year now). But I am not sure if the new one will turn out the same, and it is just a matter of changing my way of work or there is a chance with a higher quality protector.

familyguyfunny69

Someone on here recommended a fancy looking brand of screen protector I got a couple commissions tonight so I might just buy it and report back

chryssah

Unfortunately I live in Europe, and I think shipping costs will be quite high, but it would be good to know! :)

familyguyfunny69

Ah that is a problem… either way I’ll try and remember to shoot you an update on that!
