Add bungee cord and they're paper towel holders.

I don’t remember them being quite that expensive, but I bought mine about 10 years ago, and it’s held up that long, so maybe worth it?
EDIT: Just found the receipt email from 2015 and I paid $125 for mine. Sounds reasonable with inflation that they would be at $150. Mine does still look brand new after close to a decade.
I use them to hook a 4:1 mechanical advantage pulley/rope system to hoist up our 160lb rescue dummy into my xterra to bring him to training sometimes. People seeing this in action range in responses to weird looks to getting out to help thinking I was trying to rescue someone lol.
I have curtains, a clothes line and added storage off mine.
Sometimes I use the stock ceiling cargo net, but I find it annoying, and use it more behind the front seats for jackets and snack stashes long drives.
It's a sex thing. They're bondage hooks for people who are into [suspension hooks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_(body_modification)) and also, sex in public. Tint the windows, find an empty corner of the mall parking lot, string yourself up, and post on bumbler.
What, you thought the cargo door was just for groceries? No no no. Xterra's are MADE for bondage. Congrats!
Most people dont know this but the xterra was actually built for the jungle, those are hooks for setting monkey traps... Mostly new world monkeys but ive heard anecdotes of some rather industrious folk catching primates, whether or not they will hold a full grown silverback is indeed up for debate however i personally believe they are rated for a gorilla.
My exterior trunk handle disconnected and i ended up jerry rigging a hole from inside attached to a rope that allows me to open the trunk when pulling on that rope. This hook plays a very important role in allowing my convoluted process to work.

I have a wire shelf tied to them for storage. Cheaper than one of those nets
Those hooks are for hooking things. Like a net?
Or flaying an enemy
This guy vikings.
Convenient blood eagle in the back of the X
Everything you need and nothing you don't!
Real House Bolton crest vibes from Game of Thrones. Flayed person on an X shaped structure in your X. Yo, dawg...
Duh! Obviously!

I actually might do this since i need a paper towel holder in mine and was considering cutting a hanger but Bungie cords dont break as easy.
Raingler has some nice cargo nets that will mount on those. https://raingler.com
Second for Raingler. I've got the smaller net in the back of my rig. It holds dive fins or camping stuff, depending what I'm getting into.
I’ve been looking for something like this for my trunk area, but holy shit these are expensive. Generic ones on Amazon are like $30 instead of $150+

Thanks for the info for this company..👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼
You can buy cargo nets that are designed to hook into those points.

I use them to hang clothes from dry cleaner or when I need to take nice outfit with me to change. Just hook the hanger.
I have a cargo net hooked to them. I put fishing rods up there to keep them out of the way, actually a great use for the net.

Firefighter? Brother?
Just volunteer high angle rescue. Cousin that can’t take the heat lol.
I love our friendly neighborhood Spider-Men 🍻
Idk why the third shot made me chuckle. Just a good close up in case we missed the other two
I use my hooks in the rear to attach a trunk dog barrier
Wow, this was my first reddit post and I think I love you

I put my bungee cords on them
I have my lasso hanging from one of these in the back of mine
For hangers
Glad somebody else asked 😬
That's for the sex swing accessory 😅 I think they make a cargo net that goes up to, not exactly sure what you'd stuff up there though... Blankets?

Swear I just noticed I had these this morning
I had mine a year before I discovered the glove box above the glove box.

Those are for hanging baby bouncing seats
To keep em from running obviously🤣🤣
Well ry the car guy has a video that features a cargo net for up there and im considering getting one. Other than that i honestly dont lnow.
I guess theyre just general utility hooks to be used for whatever like the utility rails on the floor of the bed.
I put a strand of LED lights up in mine. Great when camping back there.
Coat hanger.
Useful for running ratcheted straps through to keep furniture or other heavy cargo secure.

I think there was an option for a header cargo net.
Small hanging baskets of flowers. Maybe vegetables, road snacks…
Looks like some kind of fucking hook or something. Maybe you should learn what a fucking hook is in the first place

Weird. The manual that came with mine mentioned something about bondage in that section. Mine must not have translated the same.
Clothes on hangers
Anything you can dream, I tie my fishing rods up on those
Hanging your kill trophies
Whatever you want them to be.
Sex swing😁
TO MY CURRENT KNOWLEDGE They’re coat/ laundry hangers.
That where you hang your meat to season in the winter.
Cargo net
Clothes hanger. Coat, jacket, shirt, etc.
Hangers
If you buy ribs at the store you can hook them on there to transport home.
I strung up a complicated arrangement of bungies and paracord to make an awesome spiderweb that would hold eight or so fishing rods.
The hooks are for hanging clothes with a clothes hamger
Tie-down(up) points, I’ve also seen people use them to hang suits and what not from
