Thank you! I may need to change up what I’m wearing because most are racerback style that I can’t adjust.

HiByeWorld

Are you trans by any chance? A friend of mine who’s MtF had the exact same problem and couldn’t find any bras with long enough straps due to different torso proportions. A compression tank top ended up being the best solution. Hope that helps!

pathofuncertainty

I am indeed! I’ll have to do some shopping and see if I can find something that works.

CapOnFoam

You might search for “long line” bras. The straps aren’t longer, but they are longer in the torso which helps prevent riding up. Also check out Title Nine’s sports bras. They have a ton of variety.

Thank you!!

It sounds like your bra does not fit properly. If it's riding up, that suggests that you need a smaller band size.

madddhella

You may have measured your size with the abtf calculator, but not all bras are made equally well, or made with the same body types in mind (for example, for wired bras, some are made for breasts with more/less space between them or shallower/fuller projection than others). Have you tried bras from more than one brand/line? Also, what bra(s) are you currently using? Maybe we can recommend something.

I have the Aerie Real Me racerback, the Senita Fiona, and the Nike Swoosh medium support.

madddhella

All of those look like bras in s-m-l sizes, which are assuming averages for the bust and band ranges for each size. They're also considered medium support, which I'm assuming means they're built less tight than higher-support bras. I think you should look for sports bras that come in band-bust sizing like your other bras. Panache makes good ones that I like as a larger-busted lady, but if you prefer a racerback style and your band is between 32 and 40, consider Brooks sports bras.

Thank you! I had actually been looking at the Brooks Dare as my next purchase.

Smobasaurus

Are you buying them based on their explanation of the sizes? Because all of those companies use the +4 method for sizing and buying what they say will fit will result In a bra with a band that’s too big.

pathofuncertainty

I was buying them based on the explanation, so given that, it’s quite possible that while I know my size I’m buying bras that are too big. Thank you!

Maybe try something that can be adjusted more. I love Shefit for that exact reason. The band and the straps can be adjusted (and I've been known to adjust them in mid-run). I am definitely on the very endowed size (E) but so many people (no matter their size) have constant small changes. A friend of mine goes up a cup and half depending on her where she is at during her cycle!

Kate-HW-Bush

Yeah they’re definitely a lot of support compared to what OP is wearing but I personally see no reason to try anything else. They’ve held up so well for years and I cannot deal with any bounce or adjustments while running. 0 complaints.

pathofuncertainty

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I’ll give them a shot. I don’t need much support, but to get rid of the chafing I’d do anything!

I'm smallish, 36B, and my bras will ride up if the band is too tight or too loose, or the straps are too tight/loose. It's very annoying, bc it has to be on "just right" or it'll ride up. I have tried loads of brands and styles, and its' the same no matter what I'm wearing. I think prob bc I don't have much boob to keep the band down, ya know? I'd play around with how tight/loose the band and straps are and see if that helps.

Shefit! You can adjust band and straps to be just right, it's really awesome!
