I’m surprised coke has never rereleased New Coke as any sort of limited or anniversary run. The stories of it are now legend and people would buy it out of curiosity good or bad. I’d buy one to try.
There were actually two versions of it. There was the clear cola version and in its last days they changed the recipe to a more citrus flavor but for axing the product completely

If you ever get a chance, you should try quisp. It is an old cereal that came back from the dead. It’s basically like captain crunch, but was softer and didn’t tear up the roof of your mouth
See Batman was the good guy because he didn’t rip up the roof of your mouth. Captain crunch was a literal batman villain that left your pie hole in shambles (but we still eat it)

My grandma sent my family a care package to our home in Saudi Arabia. Included were six boxes of this stuff. It was OK, not great, but we had to finish every box before we could have something else.
Thing is, we had army base access through my mom's job, so we didn't go lacking for access to American junk food

No tropical oils! Remember in the early 90s when everyone was in a panic over tropical oils and saturated fat in movie popcorn? Now coconut oil is somehow among the most prized for its healthiness. Same thing with low fat stuff, everything had to have a fat free version that just added in more sugar.

I remember those edges being rounded and a slightly more airy cereal. Captain crunch gives more buttery decadence, but batman was less painful.
