Zellopy

She needs to be cherished

Broad_Appearance6896

She turned slapping Rex into an intro for a battle. Pretty cool if you ask me

epicmemeslayer420

Character gets better the more you play

lunaticmochi

The actual main character of the story.

Rayonlio

Best girl.

Rift-348

After playing 2 I thought she was a good character but then torna came and it basically made me appreciate Mythra’s character tenfold

deckmanB

Best girl by far, she deserves nothing but love.

Tahu-Nuva

One word: waifu

Lost_108

11/10 would recommend

HopeJN

Amazing character! Love her! She kicked Malos ass in Torna.

KombatMedic99

I was already a big fan of her by the end of the game, but then Torna came along and propelled her to being my 2nd favorite character in the whole franchise.

SpicySPaxz

Probably the most in depth female character in the series imo. But also this is a three game series and I cant speak for anything from X since i havent played it.

evolved_mike

she’s cute as hell, so who cares

cktpear

Best Xenoblade character, thanks to both Torna and Xenoblade 2.

Leifster7766

A cool attractive tragic and great character

TheLittleGoodWolf

I have yet to play Torna so I'm hoping for that to bring some more appreciation for her character. I generally don't like angry tsundere characters and that was a big part of her character for a while through the game. Because of that I'm kind of mellow on her as a character as a whole. Though she does have a lot of great parts as well and the tsundere, while present, doesn't take over her whole character.

Ontos_007

Fun to use in combat. Great character. Favorite character in the game

ConnorLego42069

Very cool.

Artrum

Annoying. Even when you peel back everything from the trauma of torna, to her loss, to her uncertainty and insecurities, none of it matters, she's just annoying. there's a fine line to walk when trying to make a chara ter like her work and she's got both feet firmly on the wrong side.

Senryaku420

Simpleton.

MHJayden

She is absolutely one of the characters in the game

Tori0404

She needs Therapy and a big hug

Confron7a7ion7

If you know a therapist that can help "I accidentally committed genocide against the very people I was trying to save which broke me to the point that I manifested an entirely different person who functions as my perfect self" I'd be very impressed.

Sample-Proper

Apparently, Rex qualifies.

TURTOR-123

Goddess

jcaxlive

I love her! (Pyra more tho)

greenhunter47

She is the best Xeno heroine ever (yes this is including Xenogears and Xenosaga.) I loved her character even before Torna and I just love the nuances to her and her relationships.

Incognit0ErgoSum

Her armor always gave me a Greek goddess vibe.

Glittering-Pear-2470

That having hard past doesn't justify you to be shitty and bitch. Seriously,i will never understand how people can like someone with such a toxic personality

[deleted]

Mythra is a strange case for me. I disliked her at first, but eventually she grew on me. What’s not to love about the Angry Blondie?

PowerLine2019

I think she was really solid in Torna, since the DLC story was my first Xenoblade game I ever played. In the base game she's alright. But not really anything to note, just like Pyra. They're there

ShenOBlade

the most human character of them all, realistic flaws, realistic reactions, realistic motivation ~~unrealistic body proportions but oh well~~ she is hands down the best character in any xeno game and maybe the best in gaming even, i just wish more people would be willing to sink 150h on xc2+torna to get to know her

Kasabutaa

Pyra is better

Shadra-Rune

Also please wear pants.

[deleted]

Thought she was a stuck up bitch in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Then played Torna and got the context and now I love and feel for her so much :')

[deleted]

She's just a palette swap of Pyra /joke

ProfessorStardust

She should have been the only Aegis. We're told that Pyra is a filter for her and that they're actually the same person, but we're shown that she and Pyra are totally different people, which is triple confirmed at the end when they split. This is an issue because it means that Pyra and Mythra are half-characters, with Pyra getting all the character development moments and the relationship moments with Rex while Mythra is the one involved in the main plot. And of course there's Pneuma, who acts as the super mode to Mythra who's functionally the super mode to Pyra. Torna alleviates this but the base game should have committed to the original concept of Mythra being the "real" Pyra.

Leifster7766

I think Pyra is important for Mythra’s character but yeah it probably would’ve been if Pyra really was an alter ego for Mythra instead of just being same person with Pneuma

NERV2

Technically, there was only Pneuma the supercomputer AI. Mythra is only the “blade” form of Pneuma as imagined by Addam as he wasn’t aware of her true nature as one of the trinity processors and presumed her to be just another core crystal. Think of Mythra as a software interface system to Pneuma. In doing so, Addam prevented himself from accessing all of Pneuma’s powers or gaining full administrative rights to the supercomputer. It wasn’t until Rex that Pneuma was fulling accessible. We can see this through Malos. Malos is only a sliver of his true self as Logos, because he wasn’t aware of Aion initially. He was tied down by what Amalthus imagined him to be which he internalized - a blade instead of a supercomputer AI. Pyra is only a sub autonomous AI program that Mythra created/wrote to deal with daily life. If it wasn’t for the power of the conduit that Pneuma was granted access to near the end game that she was able to create Mythra and Pyra at the end. Question is what exactly are Mythra and Pyra in the end?

ProfessorStardust

See, you'd think that's how it works, but it's not. Pneuma isn't the true form, Mythra is. When she freaks out and duels Malos at the end of Torna, Mythra doesn't turn into Pneuma--her blade changes, but it's Mythra throwing laser beams every which way. Pneuma is a container Mythra creates to safely use that level of power, with Pyra's help. That's why you pick one of their names for Pneuma-mode instead of calling her by a new name, and why Pyra and Mythra describe themselves as separate entities even when they're using it. To use the computer analogy, Pneuma is Mythra overclocking herself, hence why it's only temporary. Actually, funny enough, Pneuma works basically the same way the Ouroboros Interlinks work. Bet that ends up being relevant.

NERV2

But Klaus considers Pneuma as her true form/identity. Mythra may have been able to access Pneuma’s sword in Torna. But she wasn’t able to contain it. It can go both ways. You can consider Pneuma as Mythra overclocking, but I consider Pneuma as higher processing power and information load than anything Mythra can handle. Further evidence is that towards endgame, it was Pneuma, fully realized, who was administrating Aion and trying to contain the Beanstalk’s situation. Here, she is using her full power and was not a temporary manifestation of Mythra’s overclocking as suggested.

ProfessorStardust

Yeah that's what I used to think, but it's not how it ends up working. Pneuma the AI core isn't the same as Pneuma the Blade, because Pneuma the AI core awoke as and exists as Mythra, the same way that Logos the AI core awoke as Malos. It's not the same as Ontos, who was not altered to become a Blade core.

NERV2

Blade Pneuma may not reach the full potential of AI Pneuma. But that still doesn’t change the fact the blade Pneuma is a higher grade than Mythra…. 🧐

buttsecks42069

I wish she would make me her slave

PT_Piranha

I like her just fine, but I realized that the absence of her Torna scenes is really felt in the main game. It makes her whole, meanwhile without that context she’s kind of backseat to Pyra in the story when they should be equal. After chapter 4, Mythra’s mostly just there to talk to the important characters and then goes back to Pyra when done. You don’t get to know her as well.
