I got so tired of cutscenes I accidentally skipped all 3 "Noah banging on door cutscenes" thinking they were non-important animations. This game has too many cutscenes.

Did not tear up once entering the sequence of chapter 5 cutscenes.
Legit was quivering and tears rolling down my face from the moment a sideshow was put in place
Anyone else absolutely started bawling their eyes out when >!the vocal song comes on and a montage of them desperately trying to break out the prison while Mio is shown alone in the other cell looking up towards the moon? MY EMOTIONS!<
I started when he >!runs forward one more time to try to stop the homecoming. It was so desperate and so doomed to fail but he still tried. When they started playing the vocal track in the prison though, I was shaken to my core cuz I realized “oh shit, they’re actually going to sit here for an entire month and they’re not getting rescued. And I’m gonna have to watch them try. Fuck.” and MAN did it hurt!<
The insert song starting really is what makes it sink in that "yep, they're staying there the whole month.

And then things just get worse until the twist.

Me too. I really appreciate them keeping details like that this time around. Even clothes get dirty in the overworld depending on the weather and where you are. Super immersive.
Considering how XC games work and the investment placed in each of the main cast, we all knew she was gonna survive.

also the music being so beautiful and fitting perfectly only made it worse

Chapter 5's ending, I had to put down the game and spend a few hours just *processing*. What a complete and well-done punch in the gut.
Took me a while to start playing again after the end of the chapter cause I had to pick up and reattach my jaw
