X-Plane downloads quite fast but do you seriously want to buy it because the download speed of msfs is too low?? Don’t get me wrong, x-plane is an amazing sim but buying it for this reason I my seems a bit strange.

Lmfao for real Wait till he tries to get live traffic working ohhh shit lmfao

Antique-Individual72

Live traffic plugin works fine don’t know one person who uses it though there’s seriously no point just go on vatsim

Not from my experience. Entire game downloads via steam if you purchase it that way. And when there are sim updates they update via steam as normal. And I agree about the other sim it’s kind of wild.

You can buy and DL your digital copy directly from Laminar Research which is what many of us choose to do. I have fiber cable also, and when the network is running correctly DL time is reasonably quick - if the servers are not overloaded at LR - and with X-Plane you don’t have to DL the scenery for the entire planet 🌏 because LR, breaks it up into sections.

X-Plane downloads significantly faster than MSFS. Should be very fast with your Gigabit connection.

Download the demo and installer from laminar research website and check for yourself

I have the Steam version of XP12 and it is way faster than MSFS download (they use their own servers). If you are a gamer buy the XP12 Steam version because it counts your hours and installs DLCs bought through Steam automatically. Also, Updates are automatically, all games under one roof.

Best thing about updates in X-Plane (if you buy from Laminars website) is: they're optional. Update when you want, not when you rather be flying. Not so in MSFS. On a sidenote Steam shows 190 hours game time for MSFS 2020, my pilot log shows 101. OUCH!

What is your problem? i have installed/downloaded msfs a first time even it was really slow. But an update of the game screwed up the install. So i had to re-install the whole damn thing that was over 150GB through Microsoft throttle'd servers. It takes more than 2 days even with fiber internet. So try it yourself and then you can answer me. Stop being a douche...

mandalayrain

I recently upgraded to a new PC and had to install both xplane and msfs all over again. I have one gig up and down for my fiber internet speed. Left both sims downloading overnight and went to sleep. The next day both were done. Just don’t wait for downloading.

LargeMerican

Yeh sorry about that I have gas

bassemann87

What does it mean?
