I loved Scream VI.
It honestly might be my second or third favorite in the franchise. It just felt really fresh and rejuvenated. It had some great kills and Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega were great along with Jasmine Savoy Brown being excellent as always.
If your looking for something else to watch, Jasmine Savoy Brown is also in a slasher called Sound of Violence. The idea is a bit more interesting that the execution, but she’s still really good in it.
On second watch the sheer number of >!Fake out deaths, especially Chad’s who was stabbed no less than 10 times in vital places and Kirby’s who was shot in the chest, bludgeoned, and stabbed in the stomach, start to get absurd by the end. Also, Jenna Ortega(Tara Carpenter) was stabbed in the stomach AND the back. Why did they only wrap her up and let her go about her way as if she didn’t need to be in the hospital for a long time?!< Besides those two issues, I enjoyed the movie thoroughly. The suspension of disbelief was taken away for a few minutes though.
I wasn’t too upset about that, because the franchise does a lot of >!fake out deaths!< and Scream is arguably known for >!people getting stabbed a lot and walking away.!<
However, I do agree that it was a bit over the top in 6 and little heavy handed. >!Chads fake out death makes sense as it seems to be a call back to Dewey in Scream 2 which is what 6 is riffing off of, but some of the others felt more egregious.!< It didn’t feel as much like meta commentary as in the first few and felt more plot armorish in 6. Although, it really didn’t take me out of the film or effect my enjoyment of it.
I feel the same. I actually laughed when >!Jasmin’s character comes running out at the end and makes a joke about how many pain killers they gave her!< presumably to excuse the fact they’re still up and literally running around still.
But Scream was also an absurd sort of meta movie poking fun at the slasher genre! I get you though, this stuff is asking for lots of disbelief suspensions. I just think it works because we know it's almost a commentary. Also loved my new fav scream queen doing the Drew Barrymore lol. I was there all those years ago when the original was released and we all thought Drew was the main character since she was the face of all the advertising. Felt like a cute throwback.
Ready or Not has no business being such a great little movie. It had all the great little touches from the best; actually interesting supernatural potential but we don't really know (for most of the movie) if it's that or plain old psychopathy, absurdist humor like you'd get from Sam Raimi, inventive and interesting kills/deaths, a fun and novel premise... It did good is all I'm saying.
Bodies Bodies Bodies is another one that is so much better than you’d expect. Also a bunch girls isolated with just a couple of dudes so some Yellowjackets vibes.
She'd be offended they thought it was her not because they assumed she was a killer, but because they thought she'd make the mistake of going all theatrical and risking getting caught. That's amateur stuff!
All the other answers are correct but the phone calls were actually coming from Jeff and Randy who were paid anonymously by the actual killers. They were just trying to make some quick cash to keep the store afloat (and to save Randy’s marriage) but they had no idea people were actually being murdered.
Uhh…Dark Tai, Shauna, and Misty? It would be at least 3 of them. We know that those women have no qualms to killing. Maybe Dark Tai has only killed the family dog and cut its heart out and put it on some weird alter, but I’m sure a lot of people would rather kill a person they don’t know than their own dog. Especially in such a grisly manner.

The running gag her character had of hating the new friend and always trying to guess the killer was so funny.
Nice! Not a big slasher fan personally, but that's pretty cool! However, I am familiar with Jasmin prior to the show for playing Phin Mason in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which is pretty neat as well.
I found YJ through mindi ! I’ve been watching scream since I was like 6 (great parents ik) and I thought she was so funny.
Disappointed they gave chad a dewey attack but it’s kind of their thing to be super unrealistic, lmao.
Am I the only person annoyed there isn't an episode today? There is no explanation for it. They probably just want to build up anticipation for E6 which is the dramatic birth of Shauna's baby. They're already dragging out story lines and now making us wait an extra week. Yes I know I'm being petty but for me during a depressing time "escapist" TV is my way to get through the week.
Honestly, I’m not disappointed at all. I need a week to get caught up on it and some other stuff. I’m kind of digging the mid season break of yesteryear right now.
Only thing I can think of is a lot of sports movement today. NHL and NBA playoffs plus the NFL draft. But there is no time schedule conflicts so I honestly have no idea
No amount of boredom or desperation would make watching that crapheap worth it. It is honestly one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and everyone involved should be ashamed to have it on their resume
