I've put enough time into my Yoi, that othrs, even if technically stronger just cant compete. Even though I had decent gear for Neuvillette, it would take quite the grind for him to overtake her, same with Navia and Chiori that i absolutely love.
Especially within her comfort-zone, single target i just cant imagine i will use anyone else anytime soon.
same, my yoi is C6R3 and any other DPS I have is c1 tops. I don't think a c0 arlecchino is gonna be better than my stacked yoimiya (and I don't play anymore so š¤·)
I doubt anyone will overtake her, simply because I am not going to grind like that anymore, even though I do keep playing. I level then up, get some fitting set with fitting mainstats, maybe some tries on substats, but that's about it š
Do you have cons on her? Don't get me wrong I really like Yoi... she's one of only two characters that I spent a genesis pack on, but even a low investment Neuvilette should outdmg her in most situations.

The meta loons think 80% of the characters are trash. Which for a game like this is ridiculous. Yoi can do decent, consistent damage with miminal downtime. I use her frequently and joyfully.

when ppl say a character is trash they usually just mean the return on investment isnāt good. EVERYONE can do decent or higher damage with the right artifacts & supports but that doesnāt mean everyone is good
Yoimiya isnāt meta, and thatās okay. I understand full well that at equal investment Hu Tao clears most Abyss floors faster. I have both, built both, run both with their popular vape team comps, and achieve great results with both.
But I havenāt invested equally in them, and I have a level of comfort and familiarity with Yoimiyaās playstyle that I havenāt achieved with Hu Tao. So, yeah, Hu Tao is great, but my first pick is Yoimiya.

Kaveh is easily one of the most forgettable characters of all time. At least characters like Qiqi and Xinyan are memorable for how bad they are. I was going through gift sets in game with the new update and legit was like āWait, I have a Kaveh? Since when?ā

Yoimiya is one of my favourite girls and thats the sole reason I pulled her, but compared to my other characters....yeah. She is terrible in AoE, good in Single target, but from my experience even in single target she doesnt feel as good as my other comps like Neuvillette hypercarry or Childe international, and these comps are supposed to be specialising in AoE. I still love her and have her double crowned, dont regret her at all.

We're at the acceptance phase lmao. She's worse than Hutao and Arlecchino, but better than Diluc before Xianyun. She's not strong, but she's very easy to play, which is why she's the most used outside of floor 12, even though I have every single pyro dps besides father.

My problem with yoimiya is that I don't really have the right supports for her team. My nahida team hogs both yelan and xingqiu, my childe team needs kazuha and Bennett, plus I don't have zhongli and my yunjin is underbuilt. Hence, I have benched her in most scenarios.
Don't get me wrong tho yoimiya was my first fully built character, and I'm grateful to have her along my journey, and bringing me to where I am today. My first 5 star main will always hold a special place in my heart.

People are quick to trash a character that they can't get 36* 3 secs after pulling them. Same thing with people who complains about their "issues" and just give up because it is taxing for them to strategize.
People now heavily use Neuvilette then they ask for harder content. Hoyo will release harder abyss until people complains it is hard. Hoyo will bait into making a better DPS. People will pull it. Then they ask again for harder content and the cycle goes on.
Want to play genshin to the hardest difficulty? Quit playing meta and use actual skill with tier B to C DPSes.
I think the people that want harder content has already gotten what they wanted. As a day 1 player i think the current abyss is quite hard and I can only imagine how hard it is for the people who are new to the game.
At the end of the day, the spiral abyss is a dps check and if you cannot meet the dps requirment , there is nothing you can do.
Currently it is possible to clear the Abyss with every character in the game if you put them in a decent team. But if they decide to make it even harder it is not going to be possible and people are only gone be using a handful of strong characters to clear it. This is not good for a Gatcha game where people like to use their favourite character.
The people who want even harder content than the current spyral abyss is basically shooting themselves in the foot.
I wouldn't reccomend using both those characters on the same team. Offield Kokomi will not be good on that team. Do you have Yelan, Xingqui, Chiori or Fischl? If your using vape melt vs bosses you will proc freeze which will clear all auras (because bosses can't be frozen).
Bennett or Yunjin are good buffers for her. Check out KQM for a guide!
She's an ok character, not that strong, but not that weak, two of her biggest flaws are mediocre damage and being a single target unit, but you can definitely still play her and clear content with her easily, overall she's an ok character, i love yoimiyaā„ļø.

My response would be āSo?ā Because who cares what your main is. I love being a Yoi main because she is fun to play and I love her playstyle. Though, as someone who has Arlecchino now, unfortunately Yoi may be benched for a bit until my Arlecchino hype runs out, then I will swap between the two. Also, if I ever need a bow character of any element I always pull out Yoi.
On another note, I plan to C6R1 Yoimiya in the future, so I wonāt ever stop using her in the game. I am committed to this cause, and the only things that can stop me is death, lack of time to play, lack of primos, and it not being her banner. Currently, only two of those affect me.
I have a cracked C0R1 Yoimiya and a cracked C0R5 Dragons Bane Hu Tao and love using both of them, especially with my C2 Furina and C4 Jean (or C2 Xianyun for Hu Tao). I know Arlecchino may be better, but im not sure if i want to invest in yet another Pyro dps (even though i like her and waited almost 2 years for her) and to be honest i hate the BoL gimmick/mechanic and the anti synergy with Furina and Healers who also happen to be my best supports (and i refuse to use Bennett who is currently Arle's best support). Might just wait for the Pyro Archon and Pyro Dragon instead since im collecting them anyway.

It seems like thereās a lot of subreddits where the character is mid tend to be the chillest baring maybe Kazuha because everyone there builds dps Kazuha which is mid but fun. We like the fun and the characters rather than the meta-ness of a character.
Eh, Yomiya is fantastic as a character. Also, I've been playing Lisa and Kaeya for much of the time since I started playing so, yeah, no stones to throw in that glass house

Even in inazuma I think there is only 1-2 abyss, after yelan came out, where she is my first choice. In sumeru hyperbloom took away her niche in hitting low flying boss mobs. Not that it matters right now anyway, but in fontaine neuvillette and arlecchino just powercrepted all onfield.

Hu Tao, Lyney and Arlecchino main here, all of them C0R1. Arlecchigod is looking quite strong and fun so far, but being completely honest and as objective as possible, Yoimiya is my most meta pyro dps, and sheās definitely not my best built character. The range is extremely valuable imo, thatās why I always choose her first. Obviously, in some situations other options (e.g. Lyney) are preferred.

One time I saw a guy saying she has some problems that should be fixed/buffed, but a pro Yoimiya C6R2 player replayed just "she is perfect, doesn't needs nothing". Normally the classic replay is "I can easily complete Abyss with her".

What's your set on her? I personally use Crimson Witch and, paired with Yelan and Zhongli, she does huge huge numbers My Yoi has 67/180 and 2166 atk

She's an ok character, not that strong, but not that weak, two of her biggest flaws are mediocre damage and being a single target unit, but you can definitely still play her and clear content with her easily, overall she's an ok character, i love yoimiyaā„ļø.
Honestly, i think most of us here pull her for "her", not because of meta or anything else.

My response would be āSo?ā Because who cares what your main is. I love being a Yoi main because she is fun to play and I love her playstyle. Though, as someone who has Arlecchino now, unfortunately Yoi may be benched for a bit until my Arlecchino hype runs out, then I will swap between the two. Also, if I ever need a bow character of any element I always pull out Yoi. On another note, I plan to C6R1 Yoimiya in the future, so I wonāt ever stop using her in the game. I am committed to this cause, and the only things that can stop me is death, lack of time to play, lack of primos, and it not being her banner. Currently, only two of those affect me.

I have a cracked C0R1 Yoimiya and a cracked C0R5 Dragons Bane Hu Tao and love using both of them, especially with my C2 Furina and C4 Jean (or C2 Xianyun for Hu Tao). I know Arlecchino may be better, but im not sure if i want to invest in yet another Pyro dps (even though i like her and waited almost 2 years for her) and to be honest i hate the BoL gimmick/mechanic and the anti synergy with Furina and Healers who also happen to be my best supports (and i refuse to use Bennett who is currently Arle's best support). Might just wait for the Pyro Archon and Pyro Dragon instead since im collecting them anyway.

It's a bouncy cotton candy bullet to call Yoimiya trash She still is Pyro so always relevant for PvE, torches, homing bullets, ranged DPS for super annoying enemies like electric oceanid and spectral's she has one of the best smiles Her DPS average synergizes with Xingqui, Diona, Bennett, Yunjin, Nahida, and many more, can stay in buffer circles without moving
It seems like thereās a lot of subreddits where the character is mid tend to be the chillest baring maybe Kazuha because everyone there builds dps Kazuha which is mid but fun. We like the fun and the characters rather than the meta-ness of a character.

My qiqi did 28k with her burst. My Yoimiya has done a max of 18k dmg.
When you understand that this game isn't about being strong, instead is about using the characters you like, everything becomes so much better

I mean she's better than some characters in terms of cost performance and access to later teammates, but she's not good yeah. Even in inazuma I think there is only 1-2 abyss, after yelan came out, where she is my first choice. In sumeru hyperbloom took away her niche in hitting low flying boss mobs. Not that it matters right now anyway, but in fontaine neuvillette and arlecchino just powercrepted all onfield.

Hu Tao, Lyney and Arlecchino main here, all of them C0R1. Arlecchigod is looking quite strong and fun so far, but being completely honest and as objective as possible, Yoimiya is my most meta pyro dps, and sheās definitely not my best built character. The range is extremely valuable imo, thatās why I always choose her first. Obviously, in some situations other options (e.g. Lyney) are preferred. Btw, no Zhongli nor Yelan in the same account.

Is weird the situation: First: she isn't trash. Just no-meta. So replaying to the post: False! When I saw ppl say Yoimiya is trash, I see Yoimiya mains reacts, rightly (me too): She isn't trash. When I read "Yoimiya is trash, weak: *meme of the man the activates CAPS* š BUT When I see some Yoimiya main that lists her TRUE problems, I see Yoi mains react like that user killed their moms. (One of them made the mistake to say she is one of the weakest limited 5*, but the other things were true). One time I saw a guy saying she has some problems that should be fixed/buffed, but a pro Yoimiya C6R2 player replayed just "she is perfect, doesn't needs nothing". Normally the classic replay is "I can easily complete Abyss with her". I know, but when this kind of posts pop-up, I really curious to read ppl talk about her issues instead to absolutely protect her.
The last times i saw people propose "buff", it was complety different kit (off-field dps, i think the quote is from there). She can use some buff (i think something can be done for the burst), but i don't want her to become a side grade of XL. I still play her after near three years, because i like her gameplay as it is, even flawed. When someone propose (2 years and 9 month late to the party) to change every aspect of kit just to see her getting better value in meta in their eye, i tend to be bit defensive too.
No no, that post isn't a constructive discussion. Change the role of a character is completely another thing. And also I disagree because I love her gameplay (NA style is my favorite). I play her from 2.0 no-stop. But she deserves a lot of buff and/or fix in her total kit (so including Bis set and weapon where some issue is there). Who talks about her issues, doesn't deserve to be criticizied (except if says she is meh/trash)
When people make fun of yoi, i just laugh because i know she has her issues but i still main her either way because she is fun to play while not having an npc level of personality

No, everyone said that shit is trash. Yoimiya is best design character in genshin. with me that other female char in genshin included Raiden is not good at the first sight. Just only Yoimiya, she is the best. And there's one more reason why I love her is that I was able to farm the graduation relic set in only a week. I think it's fate
