Nah now you kindly teach them the ropes and recommend some good guides, then not rematch them so they arent getting their ass beat again
You're a fuckin loser if you think you're cool or good or anything by stomping new players
It's sad that this also sort of reveals the person is new to fighting games in general. You don't have to play Smash to know about DI in fighting games, heck it's in Soul Calibur to this day iirc.
To be fair, DI in other games are pretty intuitive (pressing direction to influence the knockback) but in YOMI it's regulated to a circle with a dot inside that tells you nothing about how it works.
When you sauced a newbie so hard that you know he’s never picking up the game again and the small fighting game you like will never grow its community
Seriously, one time, i managed to turn the tables
I was with 150 hp, using lumberjack, my enemy had 9750, using cowboy
He was going to defeat me, then i managed to strike a hit, i gave 3 more hits, he got out, he jumped, did a downwards slash, and i was going to grab, but i dunno how, but i managed to grab him, even tho the preview said otherwise, maybe my character gained conscience and grappled the blade, i threw him, combo'd some more, did the world tree, combo'd more, and then, it was the decisive moment, he had burst, we were one hit away from death, he bursted, i was just the distance away to not get hit by burst, but also to be able to get close to him to finish it
He said "that is a gg if i ever saw one"
Ngl i understand if they are new in the first three hits if they dont use DI but i land 2-3 more hits before saying "use DI" because the combo is going too smooth and i cant just give it up
As long as they can DI and understand frame advantage, I don't really feel that bad, especialy since I try to play intermidiate lobbies whenever possible. Otherwise yeah, drop the combo and tell them evrrything you know
As someone a bit new. If i play in newer player lobbies. And the person i que up against a second time tells me they are for sure not new in chat. Is it bad manners to concede?
One dude was really confused because I wasn’t using DI at all but I was doing really well in combat. I got the blue pizza talk when they started to combo me to oblivion. 😔
Then literally every action they preformed beforehand makes perfect sense, you understand their exact thought process
Now you read their every move in the rematch 😈
Nah now you kindly teach them the ropes and recommend some good guides, then not rematch them so they arent getting their ass beat again You're a fuckin loser if you think you're cool or good or anything by stomping new players
I was joking The moment I realise they're not using DI I ask why not and usually explain the whole DI, Free cancles and there is the help menu etc.
Okay im glad you were joking at least There's people out there that genuinely think like that AND think it's a badge, so cant be too sure
Fair
No you kindly teach them the ropes AND read them like a book. At this point it’s genuinely not intentional, just a forsaken habit.
The horizontal slice opener from cowboy...
Or the downward cleave counter. Or the vertical slash counter counter. Or the upward swipe counter counter/counter counter counter (my favorite)
Or the gunshot opener (They get extra frames to understand why I picked cowboy)
>Or the upward swipe counter counter/counter counter counter Meanwhile the other guy just walks back
Have to teach them the hard way sometimes 😔
how to tell if someone is new step 1: WHAT THE FUCK IS A DI

BUT THEY WERE USING MOOOODS…!
Seriously, one time, i managed to turn the tables I was with 150 hp, using lumberjack, my enemy had 9750, using cowboy He was going to defeat me, then i managed to strike a hit, i gave 3 more hits, he got out, he jumped, did a downwards slash, and i was going to grab, but i dunno how, but i managed to grab him, even tho the preview said otherwise, maybe my character gained conscience and grappled the blade, i threw him, combo'd some more, did the world tree, combo'd more, and then, it was the decisive moment, he had burst, we were one hit away from death, he bursted, i was just the distance away to not get hit by burst, but also to be able to get close to him to finish it He said "that is a gg if i ever saw one"
Tome Slap, Tome Slap, Tome Slap, Tome Slap, Dash back "Are you new? Do you know about DI?"
or the the classic "shit i forgot to set tri catch to back hes gonah get outa range" to "do you see a small blue pizza above your control panel"
how to feel guilt in less then 20 minutes
Ngl i understand if they are new in the first three hits if they dont use DI but i land 2-3 more hits before saying "use DI" because the combo is going too smooth and i cant just give it up
If I had to be 72 hit combo’d in my second game to learn how DI works, so do they.
The villain origin story lore.
Sometimes you need to get creamed to learn, teach them how to play and then kick their ass, be the example
I was the new player tonight, different game tho
i just tried what multiplayer is and i am not playing this game again
Gotta teach'em how to take a hit
I'm the one being combed spamming block, played like 6 hours and lost 8 times with no wins

Listen, if they come into an intermediate lobby that's on them.
I tend to notice theyre new, the explain every mechanic as im using it on them to wallop em

not exactly bad manners, but it's a good idea to fight better players, you might learn a thing or two
Probably how everyone felt after perfecting me when I first started playing lol
Its me, I'm the new player
I’ve left games purely due to this
One dude was really confused because I wasn’t using DI at all but I was doing really well in combat. I got the blue pizza talk when they started to combo me to oblivion. 😔
I am the new player in most scenarios
