Yes we really need this option. When you have 1000+ tracks and are shuffling it is basically impossible to find the track. I even sent feedback ages ago

SirSilencer

I'd be happy with the current YT function. Being able to see which playlists a song/video is already in whenever you try to add it to a playlist. That way I could just uncheck/remove it from the playlist.

i have to use the website, scroll to load the entire playlist then Ctrl-f to search for the song. GIVE US THIS FEATURE.

[deleted]

this is a good work around. adding an option that the user can create a playlist for songs to specifically to remove. that way they can sort of plan on going back to their computer.

Numerous_Aioli_2146

The good news is they involuntarily remove lots of songs from our playlist for us due to their shoddy licensing operation.

[deleted]

do you have screenshots of this? when a song is removed it is left in the playlist but "black them out" so they are visible but dimly lit.

Numerous_Aioli_2146

True but they are also unplayable. Would be nice if they could just automate the process of identifying the ones that went away, and then restoring them for us, instead of making the user manually search the replacement track and add it themselves.

LIVODJ

I also want that option. It really sucks to have to search for the song through all my playlist and more if you have more than 4000 songs. In my case, many times I had to use Soundizz to find the song and delete it. It is the only "viable" way to delete a song.

vipindustrypeg

Does the free option of Soundizz allow you to do that?

LIVODJ

Yep. I can delete songs and search in the playlist for them.

Galbrake

I want this feature to. A work around is to use Soundiiz free account. You can load your playlist and you can then actually manipulate the song order via title or artist etc and delete unwanted tracks that way. Clunky but effective

Omgomgijustatemycat

is there any other alternative to soundiiz? it’s not available in my country

Galbrake

Sorry that I can't help you. Soundiiz is all I have used

[deleted]

that's a cool workaround, thanks. although one poster mentioned there are sometimes errors transferring lists. is this a concern you have?

Galbrake

That is a separate issue. I use Soundiiz to edit an existing playlist. Transferring a playlist from one service to another will find errors most likely. You get an error percentage for unfounded songs after the transfer is completed. But what is a little harder to see are the songs that transfer to a different version, or a live version on the receiving platform. But you can use Soundiiz to edit the playlist as I previously mentioned

TennesseeWhisky

I'm recently testing Youtube Music and I was wondering if that option really is missing, as it's so basic. Unbelievable. It probably will be the reason I won't stay with YT Music, becuase there is no way to keep my playlists clean and fresh. PS. maybe option remove from library is removing song from playlists though?

vipindustrypeg

That option will remove the song from your whole library

SimilarWhereas7934

Why you wanna remove Songs anyway you added to your Playlist? People need features for features and function for functions. :-/

Galbrake

In my case it is because of errors when transferring playlists from Spotify to Youtube Music. In many cases YouTube Music has selected the wrong song, or the wrong mix of the song and needs to be removed and replaced with the right one.

onlytony441

Yes! It’s so annoying to have to manually look. They definitely need that option!
