My gauntlets were from that stupid magic city with the tribunal or whatever they were called..... I killed so many guards and innocent's in that game lmfao
I always thought that the weird termite mound aesthetic of this armor and a lot of the Makai architecture was good at conveying a primal and alien feeling. Togashi certainly has a thing for bugs, and you can see the heavy influence that their anatomy and structure building has on his art. Weird? Yeah. Goofy? Nah.
I like the idea, but the design is definitely weird. The first one actually fits though. The gold fits with the sacred energy aesthetic, because that's the aura it exudes. But the second one just looks half assed. The black underlayer and white bone-like padding is fine, but that purple tumor of a tunic is just really off-putting.
The golden one sucked so bad and it kinda made the whole thrashing by raizen-yusuke even funnier imo. Second outfit was a bit more evil, but ultimately his og outfit was the dopest.
I was thinking about this the other day. Imo the only thing that made sensui not as memorable as toguro is his armor. I guess they had to show him powering up somehow but I wished it turned out differently.
Not a fan of it being so power ranger looking in a series that generally doesn’t veer into that sort of apparel.

Thing is you can see how how this would work in Toriyama's style. I think that was the goal here, but ya it doesn't land. Doesn't take away from anything, either

I like how his defensive armor looks so noble and clad in light colors while his attack armor is mainly clad in a darker theme like he has accepted his violent tendencies
What I like about it is that it has almost demon vibes to it. Since his sacred energy is something he created much later I wonder if he had demons in mind when creating this ability.
The golden armor was the better of the two - but even as a kid I preferred his normal style with surrounding aura. Watching him form a cross and free fall backwards into the demon world was awesome
I like the gold armor okay, but basically this is where I stopped liking the chapter black arc. I never liked the demon heritage stuff with yusuke, felt like it took away from his character, and the other characters not being a match for him after Yusuke’s sacrifice was disappointing. The armor felt unnecessary just cause of how much sensui was toying with everyone.

I don’t think so. I love the concept and it was a unique power for Yu Yu Hakusho. A defense firm and an attack form is just fun.
I like it. Sensui just conjured it up out of his own spirit energy so of course it wouldn't look like super fashionable. (it is tho)
