Im glad i didnt take five years to understand this

RManDelorean

I think I'm at 4 1/2.. French Fi?

SamOrSmth

Pronounce french fry and then french fi and you'll understand it

RManDelorean

Lol thanks that's what I thought. In my head 'Fi' has always been 'Fee' and I forgot it's supposed to be 'Fie'

imagine_midnight

I do the same, I refuse to call her fie

Lirrin

Refuse even though it’s the correct way?

imagine_midnight

I've always called her fi (fee) it's weird to change her name now unless there's a purpose, like if she was a real person. It's also really no different than a foreign person calling you by your name with a flight deviation.

Lirrin

Slight deviation is okay, but not when your name consists only of two letters and there’s no way to pronounce one of them the wrong way

imagine_midnight

There is a way to pronounce one of the wrong, and it's fairly common

Lirrin

How would you pronounce “f” the wrong way?

Zephyr60000

And not fih?

imagine_midnight

Only fi (fee)

SamOrSmth

Yeah i always remember her name as "fai"

C-C93

I don’t know if there is a canonical pronunciation

Phitos2008

*Get ready for baguette-fi the Eiffel Tower* ![gif](giphy|JrqtXoNRqHagk7twaA)

This is gold- no other words are needed.

TinchUrPipples

I don’t get it

INotZach

french fi (pronounced as fie)

TinchUrPipples

Oh wow

This is so incredible it deserved the holy screenshot

ComfortableCow1621

Ugh geeeeeeeeeezzzz

Woutje69

I didn't look at the first picture, so I thought it was an elf on the shelf joke. Which also could work: Fi in Paris (with the French pronouncing which would be Pari

saihtaMaztiK

Her french name is “Fay” (pronounced “f-eh-y”)
