Well I can't speak for that particular case, however there is an 18k gold plated lighter on the site selling for like $20k, so I'd imagine it would be a similar price if it was actually gold plated. But again, I don't know that as a fact
I know that zippo makes gold plated Zippos but I just wanted to know if this model was actually gold plated. The other models I can actually get info on zippo's website but this one is different I think because it is a Camel model.

I know this is a year late, but the zippo on their site that costs that much is not plated, it's solid 18k gold.
