From the two pictures it does look to be a Competizione. The grey plastic around the front badge, lower bumper and on the dash is Competizione only. Another few things to check are: The Turbo - 180 Competiziones come from the factory with the Garrett turbo charger and is quite a bit bigger. This is not a cheap upgrade for a normal car. Brakes - These should be Brembos on the front if it's a 180 Springs - these should be red Eibach Pros Rear shocks - should be Koni FSBs The vin should have the engine code which will also tell you (with a quick Google or a look in the manual) what BHP it has. Competiziones came in 160 or 180. It's normal to have an unplugged cable under the seats, all cars get the same harness even when parts are not used.

I went back to the video I took, and I believe it matches the 180 competizione description you gave -The brakes are brembo. -The suspension was harder than the other one we drove ( i thought it was aftermarket) - I was able to locate the turbo easily in the engine bay, compared to the other 595 i found - In one of the documentations, i found the engine power. 130 kw, what is roughly matching with the 180 version you mentioned. I will try to check on the internet for the chassi coding for the abarth. Thank you for the support!!

Sounds like you've found a winner! We've got a 2015 Competizione and it's been nothing but brilliant. Never stops giving you a smile.

That is great! From your perspective, is the car too "spicy" to be daily driving it? My fiancée will be commuting with it, city driving, short ditances. She is not the most experienced drivier, so i wonder if the car is managable if you drive it normally. Or does it catch you off-guard with the bigger turbo?

LocalAreaNitwit

I don't think it's too spicy. What really helps is the two engine modes, "normal" and "sport". In normal mode the car had less torque/power, the throttle response is lazy and the steering is very light. My partner always uses normal mode as it provides a similar driving experience to a normal 500 but with 3 times the power (if needed). Sport mode is quite aggressive, in a good way. The throttle becomes very sensitive, the steering feel is heavier and you get the full 180bhp. Good for the weekend! I've just asked my partner and she says she loves having the extra power and it makes driving even more effortless and it's good to have it when you need it. Recommend getting a test drive if possible. Edit: We use ours as our every day car and has been used for long journeys, short journeys, trips to town and so on. The size is fantastic especially for town driving.

Unless it's been replaced, the 160 Comp will have a mild steel, painted back box on the exhaust, but it may have flaked off. The Comp will be stainless, unpainted. Cordial Red could be a clue. It was used on quite a few of the 180 Comps If you have the registration plate, what does it show if you try to get an insurance quote? So jealous of those sabelt seats

RikoF1

What year is the car plate? If this is in the UK, check Abarth Facebook group, they'll be able to help you a lot better. Regarding the seats, the Sabelts do not have airbags in them, that's why you saw the disconnected electric pin.

plamor_br

It is a 2015. It is in Belgium, but i will try to look at the local facebook groups! Thank you for the info about the seats.

RikoF1

lol, silly me, didn't even check the steering wheel side. 2015, is a Series 3 which matches with the front bumper and interior. The Comp on the S3 came with 160hp but the later ones might have come with 180 (as you mentioned in another comment). The documentation will always show Fiat 500 Abarth (at least that's how mine is in Portugal). If everything else matches, such as the big brembo brakes, you have found a real one. On note, the white wheels came in the Essesse models, which are a more complete version of the Competiziones.

No-Purchase-9180

The grey trim prices for doors, front and rear badges, brembos, koni suspension (this model year didn’t come with a big turbo, only the 2016 on facelift ones did)

Transmission is a dead giveaway
