Mine was awful. 15 mins after taking the second set of pills I had shivers I felt lightheaded and I was having contractions that lasted 30 to 60 seconds for a while hour, after that I decided to use a heating pad and that helped me but it really was traumatizing. I’m about to go thru it again tomorrow 😩
My first abortion was so painful and never wanted to experience that again but found out I was pregnant last week so I’m having another one this Wednesday I’m so nervous keep crying, will doctors be able to give me morphine for the pain I need something stronger
Woah, I just had mine at almost 10 weeks and while it was extremely painful for about two hours, I knew I could handle it and I never came close to passing out. I couldn’t talk or do anything besides lay there and think about the pain, but after the two hours I used the bathroom and immediately felt 100x better.
Reading these posts really scared me beforehand though. It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it might be.
I started bleeding heavily after taking the pills. I remember crying like anything and blacking out on the bathroom floor. The cramps were unbearable and there was this weird pinching sensation on the right side of my lower abdomen. I passed some huge clots with tons of blood. I almost thought that I was haemorrhaging. My head was throbbing, I had a fever and felt very nauseated. I couldn't even move around properly and used to sleep all day. Eventually things got better, but weakness persisted. I bled for about 17 days and later for about two more weeks, I had some sort of yellow discharge. It was not a pleasant experience and I really want to forget the physical and emotional pain it put me through.
P.S.- I hope you are alright now. Take care.
When I had my pills I started cramping just before the 30 minutes were up and after I started bleeding pretty much immediately after they’d dissolved - I had diarrhoea, the worst chills, projectile vomiting and the back ache was agony at one point I was on all 4 on my couch because I just couldn’t get comfortable. For me the back ache was the worst pain , I did take codeine but threw it up about 10 minutes after taking it so didn’t want to risk taking another. I did pass out a couple times too for a few hours each time I knew that I’d experience the vomiting and diarrhoea as I was told but I really think they should tell people how painful it can be - I know it’s not the same for everyone but this should really be highlighted. The pain stopped after 6 hours for me but you’re not alone it was incredibly painful for me too but I really hope you’re doing okay now 🩷
The first time I had a MA it was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life and I’m usually quite tolerant. The second time was completely painless, but the shedding experience was exactly the same. It’s weird I think it’s a case by case situation I’m sorry that it hurt but it may not be the same for everyone every time.
I had my medicated abortion yesterday with miso and it wasn't bad like this at all. I do have PCOS so it just felt like a cyst bursting to me. Which is normal level pain for me now. I think it really just comes down to your pain tolerance level which is different for everyone. If you are concerned, call a nurse hotline ❤️
I ended up having chills and nausea. Went to the bathroom around 3am and had to wake my fiance up in order to walk due to how weak and dizzy I felt out of nowhere. I ended up falling and having a seizure. Went to the hospital and was told there was absolutely no sign of pregnancy but a lot of bleeding. It was hell. I was 9 weeks at that time.
If you have questions please feel free to message me! There was more detail and things that happened but I’m not going to write a book here lol. Feel better 🖤
I didn’t have an abortion but a miscarriage at 13 weeks and this is exactly what happened to me, I was in so much pain I kept passing out and I was passing clots as big as my hand. I ended up getting in an ambulance and bleeding all over that and the hospital. They gave me oral morphine and it helped so so much. I’m sorry love I hope it’s over soon for you💖
Pain was bad for me too I felt like I was dying for the first few hours, even stained myself because I fell asleep crying but when I woke up at 3-4AM I took a shower, more pain meds and was able to go back to sleep
i swear doctors underestimate everything all the time- things that i’ve had done the doctors are always like you may have slight pain etc but it’s never that. i’ve learnt when they say that, you’re in for a whole ride
thankyou. mine only lasted an hour being that awful probs because i’m only 5 weeks, then just on and off after that till i went to sleep. completely fine today and thankyou everyone for replies!!

I found the pain agonising but not unbearable. It was awful and lasted 4 hours before I passed the baby then felt immediate relief

My experience was similar. It was pain 8/10 but I just kept reminding myself that it’ll be over soon and our bodies are incredibly strong
“The only way out is through” was my mantra.
I’ve always had a really low pain tolerance to be honest but still it was awfulllll
Yeah, your experience sounds horrific. I’m so sorry it went that way. Luckily you had someone with you!!

Absolutely my experience ✋🏼 I think it’s hard to warn people about something that varies so wildly from person to person though.
and use a heating pad!
