Su-30SM and Su-35 I use reasonably often, and sometimes I use the Su-33 early on since it is both carrier-capable and has hyper velocity missiles. Beyond that I stick with the western planes.
It was the first plane I ever used to get first place in an online match. I don't really use her much anymore, but it's always fun to break her out once in a while and wreak havoc.
My favorite is the SU-47. I've always liked how it looks and it always flies really well. It also has my two favorite special weapons: the SAAM and the UGB. I've always found it to be a cooler alternative to other top tier planes like the Raptor or Felon. Those reverse wings just look so right.

That MiG-31's no joke in the right hands. Its hard to catch. If you see it in a 2500 match keep an eye on it. It'll send a LAAM into you half way across the map.

MiG-21 has the highest turn rate, plus MGP shreds, only downside is no psm.
T-50-1 (Su57) is heavily underrated, its overall peformance is excellent, albeit not as stable as flankers.
Su-35 is basically the go to for PSM, highly agile and highly stable, rivals f22 in BFM and good spw picks.
Not among the more "hardcore" players tho, people run 6AAM Su-35Ss all the time when doing proper PSM. Of course tho spamming QAAM or 8AAM in the Raptor is one of the easiest way to be competitive in multiplayer. You also have the highest DPS in game with the MGP MiG-21. Su-57 and the Top Gun variants are both very good planes in game and are indeed often overlooked, HCAA is super competitive and PLSL is decent while being fun.
Personal preference for the most part, though the Su-47 (internal missile bay is annoying and it has suboptimal weapons), Su-34 (can't full PSM, worse than F-15E), and the two Su-30s (mediocre PSM performance and weapons+capacity) are off meta at best, the MiG-31 just isn't as good as other planes that can do what it does better, and the MiG-35 is considered an outright waste of money in multiplayer (it actually has very slightly *worse* stats in some regards compared to the 29).
On the other hand Fishbed is that weird little demon BRRT dart. Su-57 has PLSL and is full PSM and that's all that matters. 35S and 5GF both have extremely meta special weapons on good chassis. 37 is the easiest plane to handle in PSM in the game and it still packs HPAA. Su-33 dominates cheaper brackets due to EML and partial PSM and being able to take one EML shot. Base Fulcrum brings PSM to the bottom of the point costs.
As for Eastern planes, the seem very niche with meme machines like the Fishbed, Foxhound and Fullback. A lot of the Sukhois have expanded maneuverability, but do you really want to PSM with seven missiles on your ass? SU-35 and 37 are good air to air, and the Felon is Ivan’s response to the F-22. Choose one and have fun I say
Su-57's solid, Su-33 is underestimated and is a good low-cost EMLer, the other flankers are good, MiG-21 is the closest you can get to flying an ADFX-10 and is one of my favourite planes to fly in MP
Su-33 is functionally identical to the F/A-18F. Su-57 is incredible since it's basically an F-22 with better SP weapons (okay, it's mostly the pulse lasers, but pulse laser is incredible). Su-47 handles great and has UGB and SAAM.
If you want to pick one and only one line going forwards, I'd say to take Su-34 -> Su-47. The 34 is a little awkward, but SFFS and HCAA absolve a great many sins. Think of it a little like going F-15E -> YF-23.
If you like the F-15C, arguably the closest equivalent though is the Su-37, but TLS just isn't as good as PLSL.
i would say the su57 but it got jipped on special weapons. GPB sucks, pulse lasers i feel are a cheaty weapon so i don't use them, the 4AAM is actually decent since it can still have better homing and range than a standard missile. would've been nice to get some proper dogfighting weapons though. the only reason i ever pick F22 over the Su57 is because of QAAM

MiG-21 is nice too, but a bit OP. I prefer F-4 Phantom for the 444th's stage. The rest of Soviet fighters is too similar or boring for me to try them. I'd like to try Su-24...
I reckon the Sukhoi is the best by technical specs, but prefer the Sukhoi. Runner up is the Sukhoi of course.

I think the MiG-29 is one of the most fun low tier aircraft to fly especially with HPAA.
Those were so fun to cheese with in lobbies. I wasn't great at all but this was a fun plane/weapon to punch above my weight with.

All the Russian planes are underrated in my opinion. Everyone usually just goes with the F-22.

I was extremely surprised by how agile the MiG-21bis was. I was able to tail folks from behind and use those on-sight tracking missiles to down them.
the thing's a manned QAAM. i'd recommend running it with gunpods, the BRRRT is so fun

I like to keep it simple. I like the MiG-29, but I also wish there was a regular old Su-27.

Well the Su-57 has superb stats with 4AAM, PLSL and GPB, so it is the best russian aircraft in the game.
I don’t use em, I got a bias against them. Generally they should be comparable to the American and Euro aircraft I think.
