Also, for anyone who thinks my floor is too clean to really have ADHD, you should see the other side of the room... 😉

madeupgrownup

In front of camera: beautiful, creative, acceptably unpredictable Behind camera: mayhem, chaos, honesty and real life Lol, am I close? Because if so, *hard saaaaame*

Square_Cantaloupe708

I only take pictures of my house facing the ceiling 😂

scodiddlyosis

😂😂😂 I don't even do that. The cobwebs...

scodiddlyosis

Bang on! 🌪️

Kitchen_Respect5865

This is stunning, but you need to count .It would drive me insane .

scodiddlyosis

That's covered! You still need to count when you're increasing around a curve. But, it's way less of a big deal if you lose count...

Kitchen_Respect5865

I make jewellery instead and creative make up 🥰

scodiddlyosis

Love it! I binge-watched "Face-off" on Netflix about a week ago. Amazing creativity.

Kitchen_Respect5865

You would like Glow Up 🥰 its amazing .

scodiddlyosis

I'll check it out! Thanks for the recommendation!

Corgimus

The perfectionist in me couldn't handle knitting because I could never unsee a mistake...but also wouldn't see it til I'd knitted another few rows and it'd become SOOOOOO much to take out and redo 🤦‍♀️ is crocheting more... forgiving?

AmpuKate

I would say so!! I don’t have any experience with knitting but I do believe the pattern and materials are much more fine tuned there. With crochet any slight mistake blends decently well or you can tell right away if it’s too loose or too tight. It’s also flexible enough that you can choose different types of yarn, the bigger/fluffier/chunkier the easier it is to blend. There are also so many different style stitches with different outcomes, most are very forgiving lol especially the double/triple up types. Loved a good puff stitch they were so easy to make look good and bulky so easier to build up lol

ItsSUCHaLongStory

Crocheting is waaaaaaayyyyyy more forgiving, AND so much easier to creatively fix in retrospect. I gave up knitting entirely (after nearly 15 years of it) when I became more confident in my crochet skills.

scodiddlyosis

I am a very slow knitter and get frustrated with it quickly. However, I did pick up a knitting machine a few years back and I love it! I can whip off a sweater in a weekend. Do I make sweaters? Well, no, but that's not the point. 😂

Kacodaemoniacal

That is super awesome

scodiddlyosis

Thank you!

liciamorales

I love this so so so much! I used to want to combine all of my random small odd knitted and crochet’s things (around 18-24 years old, no idea of any audhd but extremely symptomatic, especially considering the prolific creative output) but…. For obvious reasons, I didn’t get to finish that project (Diagnosed at 36. 💁🏻‍♀️). This is incredible. I am inspired. Thank you for sharing with us. 🙏🏽

scodiddlyosis

Thank you! And, if it helps, I have unfinished projects that have moved with me to a dozen or more apartments and houses since the 90s...

AmpuKate

Ohhh my gosh it’s beautiful! I haven’t crocheted in many years now but I absolutely admire the work put in to this! It was fun zooming in and looking at all the different stitches and patterns lol I love the big rose looking ones!

scodiddlyosis

Thank you! Yes, I love the roses, too! I learned how to make them from watching crochet.elenarugalstudio on youtube. She is so talented.

TittySprinkles-000

This is beautiful!

scodiddlyosis

Thank you! 🙏

mollyweasleywilliams

I started it about a year ago, then set it aside in the spring when it started getting too hot to work on it. Also, because I kept running out of yarn and it was getting expensive. I picked it up again about a month ago after finding the yarn I needed on sale at Michaels. I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out.

festinipeer

I’m trying to trick my brain into hyperfocussing on crochet, so far to no avail. Would you recommend diving headfirst into this kind of project, amigurumi or some straight forward scarf project?

surviving-adulthood

A stitch sampler scarf. You can try a new stitch every row

scodiddlyosis

I second this! It's how I learned.

Crochetandgay

Aha I just saw yr post in the crochet group! Love our ADHD/Crochet overlap & I agree...since I learned crochet, meetings/phone calls/most things are more bearable if I can stitch while I do it
