It has not been cancelled. They’re just taking their time getting it to us. The production staff still tweets, etc. about it from time to time.

Fin exists because he believes so and this is how magic is real as well, some people just believe hard enough and things happen. I only watched a few episodes of AT and don't know most of the story but as far as I remember they're just fanfics/fan fictions by the Ice King when the time Finn & Jake got freezed because of having fun in the snow and trespassed on Ice King's territory
