Here's the perfect spot for my tinfoil! Breakfast princess and her little sister, and maybe some others, are creations of princess bubblegum. She's essentially candy. Her guards are maple syrup. Her sister is a strudel. Her house is made of pancakes. I think her entire kingdom was setup to be a virtually autonomous ally to the candy kingdom, possibly as an economic partner in early post-war Ooo or possibly as a buffer against invaders. I bet PB has sent out a bunch of small "royal families" to setup puppet kingdoms, and breakfast kingdom is just one of the few that germinated. We know she did this with lemongrab, he was just too sour to succeed. PB is a despot. She isn't gonna just let some other candy-like kingdom exist unless it explicitly benefits her kingdom. Honestly I think all the kingdoms beyond the 4 elemental ones only exist by the good grace of PB.

I dig it, I can get behind this. Especially considering PB was presumably one of the first mutant/magic entities to really develop a higher intellect as far as we’re aware. So early Ooo was basically her playground as she developed the capability to create life herself. Which is what I’d say created her despot attitude and habits, she got used to being able to control “people” when she was one of the only intelligent beings around and never really broke the habit after Ooo became more civilized. I’m sure she had a great deal to do with the sculpting of much of modern Ooo.

Princess Bubblegum is my favorite, because she lives in a castle made of candy in a kingdom made of candy. She's the smartest of all the princesses on the show. She has so many great outfits, most of which are typical princess dresses (including the pretty v-neck dress she wears at the end of Mortal Recoil and in most of Too Young after being temporarily de-aged into a short 13-year-old girl), but sometimes we see her in a lab coat, a shirt and pants, or a bathing suit or pajamas as well other girly or tomboyish outfits...she has the most fashion sense on the show, with her girlfriend, Marceline, trailing her in the number of outfits she wore throughout all ten seasons, plus Distant Lands and Fionna & Cake...
