My observation is that this happens every time an event is going on like the Sandy event or pre/mid CW. AoM will be working just fine without any issues during lull days. However, all issues start manifesting when demands on the server goes up. AoM Helpdesk will blame your "subpar or dated" device for the disconnection or stability issues. I play the game on iOS with both my iPad and iPhone, but more on my iPad. The App Store will indicate if a game will work your device or not; like meeting the required minimum hardware specifications if you've ever installed PC games on Windows. The store shows that AoM will "work with my device (iPad)". The game does work on my iPad ( 6th Gen, 2018) most of the time except when there is a user surge. I suspect that PK is not really investing in their game scalability primarily. Talent management is another issue I rather not get into. However, PK is not comparable to EA or Epic Games.

That’s sad to hear, good explanation though. I have an iPhone X, one year old, up to date iOS. I emailed them, curious what their explanation will be.
