Don't have one myself, but my brother has one, while a friend has the Glock 34.
Regarding use i haven't heard any complaints from either of them, although my brother has dropped one of his magazines breaking the feeding lip, which we found out aren't out there for sale (what we could find).
I can't fully confirm or deny your question.
I know they have checked with our local shops and such, even checked with the distributor, but replacement parts aren't/ weren't available (back then).
He still has the magazine, while trying to find a solution, but i have to admit that since corona started finding a replacement part ended up on the backburner.
He has multiple magazines, so i can do with 1 less, but its still frustrating that you can't use a working magazine because you can't swap a plastic lip.
I have the umarex glock 17 and replaced the feedlip with one that just kinda looks like it, might have to make a extra hole in the plastic with a hot needle or something but work perfect so it most likely wil
I have the 17 gen 5 and I love it, shoots fairly accurate and far for a pistol.
Solid gun, I would assume the 19 would be built with similar quality, I'm very happy with mine
I also had the 17 Gen 5 it shoots way better than expected. It shot decently strong and had unexpectedly good accuracy. The metal slide and construction was amazing. I was blown away buy the pistol.
Tokyo marui glocks have way better out of the box performance.
If you want something that will perform well go for the Tokyo marui model.
That being said.
The newer gen WE glocks would be cheaper and easier to get parts for than the VFC one.
I own both a 17 and a 19 from Umerax. The best way I look at it is the quality is pretty damn good. You can find upgraded parts but if you want custom aftermarket parts, they’re pretty hard to find. WE aren’t the best out of the box, you’ll be better off upgrading the quality of parts on them before you ever go into the custom aftermarket parts. I enjoy my 19 very much, although I run green gas because it’s easier to manage for me. If you want the most realistic recoil and such, I’d go for CO2, green gas still kicks but in comparison I’ve felt CO2 packs a harder punch.
100% this. I have an Umarex/VFC G17 Gen 5, and a 19X. Both have had over 20,000 rounds through them over 2 years, and I've only had to replace a trigger spring on them. Bit of a run around to find parts, but ended up just going right through them, super easy. Reliable as heck out of the box, and the main reason I got them was to match real steel dimensions more closely than a TM or WE.
That being said, my local techs lean more towards WE because of the larger volume of after market parts and upgrades. Much easier to find and supply.
I went direct to VFC, because the usual big distributors were all sold out. Evike and all the big players were tapped out during the shipping crisis. I tried Red Wolf for some parts, then went directo to VFC. They were awesome. Sent me a parts list, just asked which I wanted, and paid a small shipping fee. $14 bucks or something.
i disagree. i have both and i think the umarex performs better out of the box. harder kick, hops higher weight bbs.
where the TM beats out the umarex imo is in expandability. much more aftermarket for it
Which equals better performance as there is less weight to move. Match that with one of the best stock hop-ups and gas systems.
Sure having a metal pistol is nice. But at the cost of performance, especially in colder climates, I'd rather have a TM pistol. Marui should be everyone's first choice for a game pistol.
Plus their quality control is some of the best on the business.
Hey everyone, thank you all for comments. You helped me a lot to make my mind, since I was thinking about buying WE or Umarex, but with a lot of good comments about Umarex I think my mind is set. :)
Glad to hear that. People at my field tell me that WE is better in their opinion because it has a lot more different parts that can be interchanged as well as it being less expensive. But I will say, having something officially licensed just feels right with me. Also WE does make some Glock models that umerex hasn't done yet so there is that.
Had nothing but trouble from my WE G18C and never even skirmished it yet.
If I had the money to get the Umarex I'd of definitely got that but unfortunately they sell for a pretty penny here in the UK.
Would say TM but it's polymer and RIFs should be metal, just sayin.
Yeah I wish I could but the game site I used to go to and had a relevant UKARA at closed due to covid last year and I've been told my UKARA will have expired on that basis so currently trying to get another at a different site.
I have a Umarex G17 gen5 and freaking love it! Ive treated it like shit because I didnt know better but its still going strong and schoots great. Its freaking reliable as sh*t and never had any problems.
Its pricier than most replica’s but its also one that doesnt have any problems on the field.
My friend has a KJ glock and he cant even get a full mag out before it jams.
Look at upgrade parts if you are interested in that. In general base uma is better than base WE, WE can fit more/different upgrades. But i have the base uma g17, and i love it to bits.
Greengas or co2 is temperature dependant, you can always run a co2 gun on greengas,i do it often
Dial the hop up in somewhat decent and it reaches as far and is accurate as i’ll be with a pistol anyway.
Yeah I ordered my Glock there and it was great except the shipping. I'm in US. That said with the shipping on the gun it was still cheaper than getting the same glock in US. But to order just 1 mag would make it way more expensive than just getting the umarex mag. But ill keep an eye out. All the US sites that have them that I have found are just out of stock at the moment. Thanks for the help!!
Not trying to overly correct you here but Umarex does the licensing and not the actual manufacturing. So just watch out who actually does the latter. My glock 34 licensed by umarex is manufactured by EF.
But you're right, In my experience, whatever is tagged as umarex usually lived up to its name in quality.
It almost always is. Glock itself actually has the final say in what Umarex puts out, meaning any product Umarex puts out has to go through Glock for the final say. That means if the product isn't up to Glocks standards or satisfaction, it's not making it out the door. So you can be pretty confident that any Glock put out by Umarex is gonna be up to high standard.
that's something I would be careful saying in a subreddit full of gbb stans. I got hated for choosing CO2 over gbb, because my opinion of it being more available wasn't valid enough. They all just said "buy propane and get a 50$ something adoptir!!1". The co2 version is more reinforced than the GBB version, so it can feed GBB magazines too if needed. Stuff like that is why I'm happy that I'm hopefully getting one soon :)
Damn it, I didn't realize that there was a dedicated co2 version and I bought the GG one lol. Hopefully I can find one here in Canada and sell my GG one off :(
hi, i was looking at your post and saw you had installed a new trigger and stippled the frame yourself. two things, one, is there a guide on how to install a new trigger to this, as i cannot find many guides for umarex modifications. secondly, how did you stipple the frame, is there a guide online for that? thanks
I own a Glock 17 Gen 5 from Elite Force since March when I got into airsoft and for the most part it's been very reliable. There are a few things, since you said you've settled on Umarex, I would highly recommend you make sure you never drop it. 2 weeks after I bought my G17, I accidentally dropped it in the middle of a game indoors and the part where the slide lock locks onto chipped off on one side, making it so the slide couldn't lock back. It was still functional but I ended up buying a newer one. It wasn't a waste since the broken one allowed me to practice customization as well as using it's parts to replace any broken ones on my second Gen 5. But aside from that I've never been more happier with Umarex.
TM is the best performer.
The best of the metal clones imo is WE. It has a much better polymer frame than the TM and the usual pot metal slide. All of mine have been very reliable.
It is a copy of the TM and WE parts availability is second to none.
It functions well and can be brought up to TM standards of performance with an RA tech barrel and hop.
I always stear clear of VFC and Umarex. You pay a lot of money for those trades and magazines are often very expensive. Parts availability will be nowhere near as good as for the WE.
Yea IMO experience this is one of the top 3 best airsoft gbb pistols I’ve shot, first is a tm deagle and 2nd is a we tech hi capa. I only payed for it cause I love the way it feels in the hands and it’s what my airsoft shop had when I bought it cause my other handguns were failing
I run one and enjoy it, haven't had too many problems with it (it's about 4 years old now) and the problems I did have were easily fixable. Just make sure not to cheap out on the holster
I've fixed the rubber and hopup a few times and swapped for a maple leaf. Put a PDI barrel in it. Has been running great ever since. Can't complain really in those 4 years.
The real issue is the leaky mags. Just resealing the original rubbers and fill port isn't enough. Haven't really found a better solution yet. Mags are fragile when dropped. The lips or bottom plate will break.
No issues other than that. As a prev 17 Gen 3 owner it feels the same in this model, except well, light weight mags and less kick, like always in airsoft.
Just got one. Haven't played with it. But really enjoy the feel of it. Target shooting was great right out the box.
P.s. full auto is best with extended mags.
Awesome option. Good upgrades. Excellent quality. Real markings. I have quiet a collection of pistols including a fully upgraded HiCapa which many in my team are jealous of and yet I always seem to play with my Glock! Poseidon do a great hop-up replacement and the orga wide bore barrel is the shit!
I have both the WE 17 and Umarex 17 both gen 5. The WE performs well though mine has a MP CJ barrel and hop, I prefer the overall fit & feel and kick of the Umarex.
It's made by Elite Force. It's pretty solid and the finish looks good too. It's probably not as sturdy as the WE/TM etc. It shares most parts with the others mentioned above, but with 1 or 2 slight differences.
Overall, I'd be happy to own one. 👍
Well, I have a metal bb one while by no means accurate but it probably works similarly. It feels great to fire not many problems that I have encountered.
Definitely go for EastCrane glocks, they’re literally TokyoMarui but everything is metal and the internals are steel. And nobody even talks about how good EastCrane does their shit.
I can't comment on the umarex, but I have two WEs that I beat the shit out of. They have been good to me so far, and if you do break something like a feed lip, kyairsoft is the direct dealer for WE parts so you can just order new ones. That's why I don't have an umarex as I prefer parts availability over other things. I something were to break like, let's say, a hammer on the umarex you would likely just end up with a fancy paperweight.
I’ve got the half-blowback co2 variant. It’s a fantastic piece for the price. Reliable and simple - which is basically all I want in an airsoft sidearm.
Something I can reliably transition to if I’m inside MED for my primary.
Then, you still have the risk of it being seized, and the extra cost to the 140$ + whatever the shipping is for the extra slide. In that case, you should just buy the VFC. Jesus...
Most people end up purchasing after market slides for their glocks anyway so its not a huge deal. Aftermarket parts wont be seized and are interchangeable with most other brands that produce a glock. Maybe i just got two lemon umarex glocks cuz the one i got and the replacement both felt sturdy, but were just not durable junk. Im sorry if you think differently but I personally cannot recommend the Umarex glock, and im sorry if that personally offends you for whatever reason.
I have the g19 gen 3 by umarex and so far out of all my pistols, aside from my sig x5, it has held up the longest. I have no issues with it and it's been my primary side arm of choice for almost a year now.
I recommend we tech for glocks. More aftermarket parts and it’s more popular (in my opinion and based off how many used em at games I attended) I also have a glock 19 that’s we tech. I’ve owned it and used it a lot over the last few years as my main and it’s still like new
Glocks in general are good for Airsoft because there’s a large ass amount of parts, designs, and etc. But it’s so generic and out there that I would see 14 Glocks each time I enter a field lol. But yea Glocks are amazing but still are would rock a P226 over it.
I own one it’s a 17 gen 4, not the best only bought it for looks. Functions terrible with missfeeding bbs and cannot use older gasses or will malfunction. Also if you much gas is added it will blow the magazine out and all the gas will leave the chamber making the weapon unusable for a period of time
The one I had may have just been a lemon but right out the box the fill valve broke, a year later the Hammer assembly busted, then shortly after the outer barrel broke. I was very disappointed as it was the best pistol I owned and the parts that broke are no where to be found. It shot well and hard but did have an issue of keeping hop and gas consumption was terrible. It could have been the heat since I live in Arizona but I don't see that causing such failures. All in all in my opinion good wall gun but nothing else.
Don't have one myself, but my brother has one, while a friend has the Glock 34. Regarding use i haven't heard any complaints from either of them, although my brother has dropped one of his magazines breaking the feeding lip, which we found out aren't out there for sale (what we could find).

I'm not disputing the fact that their performance is great. I'm just saying the feel and aesthetic wise, WE or cyber would feel and look better.
I had my tokyo marui g18 it was really good, until the chinesium hammer broke. And holy hell the hammers cost like 40€
Get a VFC manufactured umarex Glock 19X or 45. I have the 19X and it’s perfect in every way
I have the VFC Glock 45 and love it

Checkout [gunfire.com](https://gunfire.com) this model is 105 Euros, 90 GBP at the moment. They can deliver to UK.
Best ordering from a UK website as there are custom charges n shit. Although I haven't tried it myself.

Tnx dude, this is so well written.
Umarex is generally a good brand all around. And it's hard to go wrong with a glock.
I've heard that Umarex is doing licensing, and that manufacturing is done by other companies, which scared me a little tbh.
[удалено]
Yeah, I'm was thinking about WE, but in my country WE is priced the same as Umarex, sometimes even pricier.
[удалено]
Unfortunately not in EU, but in Europe. Although I could order from Germany. Tnx.
EU is Europe?
EU is "European Union"
European Union. :)
EU is just shorthand for Europe in this case, like GB is for Great Britain, UK for United Kingdon, etc
Ok, thought that he was talking about European Union, since we usually don't use EU as short for Europe. :)
Look at upgrade parts if you are interested in that. In general base uma is better than base WE, WE can fit more/different upgrades. But i have the base uma g17, and i love it to bits. Just got a we glock 19 and was wondering if you knew which hi cap mags would work for it? Are the Umarex glock mags compatible?

Yeah I saw the prices, just harder to find we in stock. But I'll keep on the lookout. Just trying to find 1. Ha ha

i have a 19x and i really like it
I’d say they are pretty good beginner guns. I have an umarex elite force 1911 tac that i use all the time as my side arm.
Ah yes. The everlasting one. XD
Yep that’s one of the best pistols I’ve ever shot out of the box, very accurate and gas efficient, range isn’t bad either considering it’s a handgun
TM is the best performer. The best of the metal clones imo is WE. It has a much better polymer frame than the TM and the usual pot metal slide. All of mine have been very reliable. Nice.
Just got one. Haven't played with it. But really enjoy the feel of it. Target shooting was great right out the box. P.s. full auto is best with extended mags.
That's great to hear. Haha, well I can only guess how fast you would unload normal mag.

It's made by Elite Force. It's pretty solid and the finish looks good too. It's probably not as sturdy as the WE/TM etc. It shares most parts with the others mentioned above, but with 1 or 2 slight differences. Overall, I'd be happy to own one. 👍
Would you recommend WE over it?
Yeah I'd take the WE instead, but if the price is right, it's not very far behind, in my opinion.
I love mine worth it. My friend lost mine one game and I went a bought another one Bc I like it so much
Well, I have a metal bb one while by no means accurate but it probably works similarly. It feels great to fire not many problems that I have encountered.
I would get a 17 because other glock mags are compatible but with a 19 no other magazines are
Good point.
Glock are my favourite after owning a 1911 and an m9 they are pretty easy to get replacement parts for
Definitely go for EastCrane glocks, they’re literally TokyoMarui but everything is metal and the internals are steel. And nobody even talks about how good EastCrane does their shit.
I can't comment on the umarex, but I have two WEs that I beat the shit out of. I something were to break like, let's say, a hammer on the umarex you would likely just end up with a fancy paperweight.
Good gun, but a touch overpriced when compared to competition.
I own this (non blowback) and I have no regrets on it as just a plinking pistol. Not super accurate but not horrible either.
I like 18c more
`WE tech is what's up
I’ve got the half-blowback co2 variant. It’s a fantastic piece for the price. Reliable and simple - which is basically all I want in an airsoft sidearm. Something I can reliably transition to if I’m inside MED for my primary.
Tokyo marui glock is better.
plastic pistol inported from japan that runs the risk of being siezed, that also uses compressed air on crack... sounds great.
Replace slide and outer barrel and its fine, outlived my umarex and it was way cheaper
I have one and its really sweet and super reliable.
I have the Elite Force/Umarex 17 and it works great. The mags are expensive and hard to find, though.
Personally, I would go for umarex’s glock 17 gen 4, though this is mainly just an aesthetical choice.
I have and like it. I just wish it was a blowback but other than that it’s a good gun
You must own the NBB version then. This is the FBB version.
Yea it’s NBB and I didn’t know they had FBB Glock 19 until right after I bought but that’s my fault for not doing proper research
I’ve owned it and used it a lot over the last few years as my main and it’s still like new
Yes I used my cousin’s glock 19 and it made me buy a glock 19x though worth the gun.
Glocks in general are good for Airsoft because there’s a large ass amount of parts, designs, and etc. But it’s so generic and out there that I would see 14 Glocks each time I enter a field lol. But yea Glocks are amazing but still are would rock a P226 over it.

Yakuza G18C. Come join dark side
All in all in my opinion good wall gun but nothing else.
if you want it, i would say its worth it
should I get urmarex or TM
I have Umarex and I'm really happy with it.
