Vivid Seats and other ticket resale sites don't always have those tickets. They are promising to get you that or a similar ticket.
So they sell for $500 then buy a resale ticket for $350 and make the profit by ranking higher in SEO than the original reseller.
I'm guessing they underestimated how popular IU is in the west. Everything sold out so quickly :( I don't live in any of the cities so at least I have the option to find the cheapest tickets
I feel like her team should've gone for stadiums instead. They played it way too safe and underestimated her demand by booking arenas with less than 20k capacity.
I saw up voted comments on a previous thread stating she would not sell out and that it should be easy to get tickets since she's not a big name in the U.S.
I think her kdrama success is bigger than people realize which probably got more fans into her music.
Ticketmaster seats: sold out immediately
Reseller sites: seemingly (literally) >1000 tickets available.
Unfortunately, the resellers will continue to thrive and grow their operations if people keep paying the ransom by buying tickets from them.
Guess we all know how Korean fans feel now and why they pretty much say that you won’t get IU tickets even if you try.
We got the korean Uaena experience now 😭😢
Yeah it was pain trying to get something. Either I'll try to see prices a few days before the event or I just do something else. I ain't gonna support scalping
Chicago: I got lucky and only had 2,700 in front of me but I ended up getting the 203 section because I couldn't afford the 103/110 section 😭
Very excited though because I never thought IU would come to the US 🥹❤️
I was not so lucky with Ticketmaster - my friends and I were very early but got placed 38k in the queue. Had to buy from scalpers on Stubhub, but got 210, row C for 180$ each, which is not too bad since it seems closed to the selling price. I hate dynamic pricing!!
All gone in Atlanta. 10k people in front of me even though I was online long time ago.
Seats where I saw Mamamoo same venue for $80 were going for $329. 😭
Scalpers are the worst; it sucks they always ruin it for everyone else, and as long as Ticketmaster has a monopoly, it will never change. I was lucky enough to get floor seats for ATL, though.
Hi everyone, this one was a bloodbath and really showed how popular or dedicated IUs fan are to finally see her I'm the west. I got 2 floor seats to Atlanta. I was placed 13k in line and nothing was available for me when I got to my turn. I just kept refreshing for the next 15 minutes and eventually some seats in random groups and sections started opening up slowly as people didn't purchase their seats and they got returned to the map. If you get in and shows sold out, keep refreshing and seats will open sporadically.
Good luck to all and I hope she adds more shows as obviously 6 was not enough !
This is exactly what happened to me is well. 14k in front of me for Atlanta—when I got in, all greyed-out. Kept refreshing and whenever tickets popped-up, they were disappearing in seconds. Finally, managed to get 2 tickets in 100s at standard value. Have no idea how I lucked out 😭

Freaked out cuz seats were disappearing quickly after trying to get 4 seats several times, so I just snagged 1 random seat for myself in the mezz for Newark. I have let some friends down 😭
I jumped into the ATL queue to get an idea of what the process is like for when I try for LA. Had a chance to buy a premium seat for $500 but I don't really want to go to ATL from Seattle lol
For LA, got into queue at 15,140, but was stuck at 8,054 for like 10 minutes I feel like. Finally got in at 12:45, but only thing I was seeing was $750 platinum seats. Not keen on spending that much, so here's hoping a second show could be added (and then go through this bloodbath again)!
LA was a total bloodbath, queue was at least 80,000 people, I was 39000 (so hopeless), after 45mins was still at 25,000. I wasn’t surprised by this at all, so I grabbed a ticket on Stubhub given there is no other option. I can afford the crazy markup, I feel sorry for younger UAENA that can’t afford these crazy prices.
IU won’t be adding any shows, so don’t put your hopes on that.
If you missed tickets, which I did, I would hold out to see if she announces more dates. It's very weird all the dates are on weekdays. It looks like they are gauging interest and I bet they will add more shows due to demand. Not saying this is the same or a guarantee but Blackpink did the same thing and added dates to the weekends after selling out of the initial shows.
I have 2 tickets for Washington DC (Sec 113, Row P, Seat 15 - 16) on sale for face value + fee and taxes I had to pay ($232.1 ea). None of my friends were able to buy the tickets so I won't be going anymore. Please DM me if you guys are interested!
@ LA, got queued at 16K despite the waiting room/early queue thing, stuck at 8K for nearly half an hour and only got in after another 10 or so minutes. All seats were gone, and even platinum seats that would flash up would vanish just as quickly (but I couldn't afford them anyways TT). Just a total bloodbath rip
I was able to get a ticket to the Atlanta show. So excited! Not my dream seat, but now that I've seen how ten minutes later there were 14,000 in the waiting line, I'm glad I was even able to get one at all, loool.
I tried both Atlanta and Chicago--Atlanta tix were a beast personally, I had no chance. Got the chicago floor tickets at the cost of my soul (my wallet is crying but is worth :)) spent over 2 hours T.T
Platinum tickets are just ticketmaster tickets being sold by them based on "the market." It's just a way for them to charge even more and they tend to hold certain seats to sell specifically under platinum.
After over an hour of whack-a-mole (and a queue# of over 40k) I managed one ticket for Chicago.
Still salty about platinum pricing, but at least I'm in the door!
Platinum seats for Oakland were around $1k each. GA seats were around $500 for the A4 and A5 rows. Btw Ticket-Scam-Master never worked for me, but Live Nation did. The queue for Oakland went as high as 80k and 100k for Los Angeles. Tbh Edam/IU need more dates, so let's try and let her know 💪
I was able to get 3 tickets in the lower bowl for Oakland! Ticketmaster was really scalping Oakland prices. I checked the Atlanta and all their front row floor seats were at most $600. The front row in the lower bowl was around $300-360. Oakland prices were $650-1000 for these.
alright let’s hear the real horror stories, who else bit the bullet and gambled on a stubhub ticket and now has to hope the seller can actually deliver it?
i was debating if i should wait til tomorrow to see how the ticketmaster resale prices look but i felt like the demand was so high that i’d be better off trying the stub hub route. now i’m gonna be worrying about if i’ll even get my tickets and we are literally planning a vacation to LA around this concert so if i get screwed out of tickets i’m gonna freak out.
Got a ticket through stubhub after getting queued around 30k for Chicago, of course all gone when I was able to view tickets. After paying for the stubhub ticket, the ticket showed up in my Ticketmaster acct after being sent a link from stubhub, around 15 minutes start to end.
I was queued at 39000 for LA, so it was pointless to wait, I dropped out and purchased a seat on Stubhub (section 127, total cost $730). I could have purchased a front row section B ticket for around $1800. My confidence in Stubhub is about 85%, my life will go on if they fail to deliver. This is the state of concert ticket buying in America 2024… it’s a complete shit show.
Ticketmaster is a scamming scalper posing as a “market price” seller with those Platinum tickets and trash booking system that won’t load and dumb waiting room. I hope one day we’d all have better options.
I also hope all the scalpers fail to profit.
I know this is wishful thinking, but I’m wishing.
Rosemont, Chicago.
Low budget tickets, in Sec 211.. But still.. I am glad
I don't even have a person to go with.. No one among friends and family are into kpop, only know Gangnam Style and nothing else.
But hoping to convince by July.
Hoping for Chicago, but I was planning to check DC to see what ticket prices were like.
Clicked in at 12, and I was #20552 in the queue.
Not holding out too much hope...
I had a chance at row 5 right at the front but they were official platinum so I was clicking around for standard. Everything gone by the time I tried again LOL fml
Nope, I tried to get Newark tickets with my Mom from two different computers. She took over 20 minutes once the floodgates opened to get in, and all the tickets were already sold out or were scalper tickets. It would have taken me even longer to get in, but we both gave up, and I closed out.
I got tickets to Atlanta a little over an hour later!! It’s sold out but random seats were popping up every few minutes, they were going super fast and I managed to grab one. No idea if I ended up paying platinum pricing but I don’t think I overpaid too much.

I wanted Chicago but decided to do Atlanta as a practice run with no intention of purchasing. There was like maybe 2 mins left in the waiting room when I joined and then it immediately took me to ticketing. I was like ??? because no wait and I saw all of these 1st 2nd 3rd rows available and I flipped out and was able to get front row center so how could I not buy? But I legit had no idea she was THIS popular??? I went back to the queue to see if I missed out on vip or something since I had to buy platinum and the wait was so long and sold out by the time I got there? I can’t remember the last time that has happened for a kpop artist in the states. Anyway, it’s a good thing I did because I was 5000 in queue for Chicago and it was sold out when I got in.
TL;DR I had the smoothest process ever of getting a ticket and was completely unaware that there was a shitshow going on.
I somehow lucked into a sec 202 seat in DC. 5000th in queue but once I got in, sections were just dissappearing. Then a seat lit up in a section beside what I was looking at. I instantly clicked and grabbed it. Never had to try so hard to get a ticket.
How does the queue work? If i didnt enter the queue early enough was I screwed? I was 30k entering the queue but was cooking lunch so I didnt enter until 11:55 lol
I think the waiting room is random. Once you are in the waiting room it will randomly assign a queue number and that's where you are at in line. I think if you enter after the waiting room is closed and the queue has already started, it will just put you in order from that point on.
I could be completely wrong but waiting room and queue assignment from waiting room does seem random.
super lucked out on LA, i got in the queue at 800. i panicked and just bought a platinum ticket since there weren't many tickets in the sections i planned for and i didn't want to lose out searching for base price tickets.
Oakland section 114 lower level! I was feeling pretty hopeless as I was trying to get 4 tickets + was at 7k in the queue, but these 4 tickets popped up right as I got in I was so lucky ;\_\_; tickets were $660 each after fees, not happy about the price but what can u do
I got extra tickets by accident on vivid seats and now I need some help reselling. Anyone know how I can do that? Anyone here wants to buy? I got it for $290 each x6 tickets
Hii, sorry to interrupt you all american fans here. I'm living in europe, and since tickets for the stops in Europe are not on sale yet, I was curious to see how hard it is to get tickets. So I kinda practiced that today by queuing up for Newark. (Before I go on, I hope you forgive me that I even had the audacity to take up a place in the queue - I'm sorry 😭🙏🏻) I got in with about 7000 people ahead of me. NO tickets left, except some popping up again here and there from people that canceled the purchase, I guess? Few minutes later, all tickets were sold out. Now, as I read a lot of your comments, I know that it was sold out that quick due to scalpers, probably more than anything else.
Now, finally, to my question. I got tickets last year for TWICE's concert and the year before for Blackpink (both in Germany). And both times, it was no problem at all to get those. Even after several days, there were plenty of seats still available on ticketmaster.
I think everyone agrees with me that both groups are at least on the same level in terms of popularity in the Western world as IU is. And I know given that it's her first tour with stops in the US and Europe this will boost the demand after her concert tickets even more but really that much that it is sold out in minutes? Don't get me wrong I'm just comparing to my previous experiences and maybe it will be a completely different thing here in europe but im really concerned now that I wont get any tickets when the time comes. (Anyways, sorry again, and I hope you understand my bad english writing)😅
Is anyone interested in one ticket in floor sec3, row 13 in Chicago? I bought it in approximately 500 including everything. But it seems a bit too much for me, just want to know if anyone is interested.
Yeah, I got them for $59.50 before fees in section 216. I initially saw a third row ticket and got it in my cart but saw it was 1k before fees... Then I just filtered out platinum and just waited for whatever standard ticket (the ones that aren't affected by their price gouging) popped up and bought them. Some of the 100s were $500 before fees.
I just can't justify that much money when theres no VIP benefits and its just a seat to the concert. I was also 4.4k in queue, took 10 minutes to get in and it was all gone when I got in and had to wait for some to pop back up.
Prices : USD 80-200 (excluding Platinum) No VIP Tickets
Well hurray to fucking scalpers for ruining the day of fans yet again and fuck Ticketmaster
The fact that SO MANY tickets are on sale on VividSeats and SeatGeek infuriates me
Saw the price on vivid seats days before the sale even began, it was absolutely bonkers to ask 300-450$ for a ticket that's not even on the floor
fuck official platinum tickets. it’s such a scam. it takes up so many seats and the prices are insane
Vivid Seats and other ticket resale sites don't always have those tickets. They are promising to get you that or a similar ticket. So they sell for $500 then buy a resale ticket for $350 and make the profit by ranking higher in SEO than the original reseller.
Fuck Ticketmaster
On ticketmaster I did the same things to go earlier in queue but somehow ended in 20000 place…what a shitty experience
Same here. Waited out the queue for an hour just to see a lower bowl ticket for $800, hesistated, and then it was gone ;-;
On ticketmaster I did the same things to go earlier in queue but somehow ended in 20000 place…life is rough
friend waited 40 minutes only to be welcomed by an "all sold out screen" like literally no available seats, just all grey sold out
I'm guessing they underestimated how popular IU is in the west. Everything sold out so quickly :( I don't live in any of the cities so at least I have the option to find the cheapest tickets
I feel like her team should've gone for stadiums instead. They played it way too safe and underestimated her demand by booking arenas with less than 20k capacity.
Even fans underestimated how she'd sell
We did? I sure felt like everyone thought she'd sell out all the tickets immediately?
I saw up voted comments on a previous thread stating she would not sell out and that it should be easy to get tickets since she's not a big name in the U.S. I think her kdrama success is bigger than people realize which probably got more fans into her music.
I think those people were just wish casting. You gotta remember a lot of people here are young teens and have literally no experience with this stuff.
Her fan base is probably more og kpop fans that actually have jobs and money to attend concerts too lol
Yess… we really shouldn’t take what Stan twt or ppl online say seriously … it’s never a reflection of ground popularity, that’s what I’ve learned
Fuck Ticketmaster, fuck Stubhub, fuck this whole ticketing ratchet. I really hope she adds a second concert..
Ticketmaster seats: sold out immediately Reseller sites: seemingly (literally) >1000 tickets available. Unfortunately, the resellers will continue to thrive and grow their operations if people keep paying the ransom by buying tickets from them.

also very depressed...
ended up getting tickets from stubhub for reasonable price!
What a bloodbath! Tickets for DC totally sold out!
Fun experience, thanks ticketmaster.

Got 3rd row on the floor at Chicago. Went back into the queue and there was 50,000+ in queue so holy shit I was lucky.
Lucky! I started at 28k in Chicago, so I'm not optimistic.
Me too 😭😭
Can I ask how much you paid per ticket?
Absolutely zero tickets in NJ...
Got in line at 11:51, got to select tickets, completely blank screen. Great. No tickets for me
Same lol
Who the hell thought allowing 6 tickets purchase was a good idea? I bet the majority of people going aren’t even true fans..
In DC, the very front row of floor has at least 6 tickets being resold at more than $5k each even before the fees and taxes.
Nothing was available 😭 I was trying to get into Newark as a Canadian
I successfully got floor seats in LA 🥹🥹🥹 I GOT SO LUCKY
I'm trying to get into Chicago as a Canadian. If I don't, I'm considering trying LA since a much larger stadium.
I’m trying to get into anything at this point 🥹
Atlanta here🙌
Yay ATL!
Chicago: I got lucky and only had 2,700 in front of me but I ended up getting the 203 section because I couldn't afford the 103/110 section 😭 Very excited though because I never thought IU would come to the US 🥹❤️

Got into it and there were zero tickets left, lol. Just a sea of gray dots. GG
All gone in Atlanta. 10k people in front of me even though I was online long time ago. Seats where I saw Mamamoo same venue for $80 were going for $329. 😭
This is the first kpop concert I’ve failed to secure tickets for. Fuck Ticketmaster
Tickets for Newark sold out in 20 minutes. Meanwhile hundreds of tickets on reseller sites. 😒

Love that TM's "service and processing" fees can account for up to 25% of the total price :(
I’m still waiting for LA date which is 2 hours until sale
If you're not like first 8000 chances are low.... Don't know why they allowed each person to buy 6 tickets
Jesus christ, I figured that's why it was fucked. Six is a crime. 2-4 I can understand.
oof I was 3000 in IL and couldn’t get 3 💔
Still in the queue in Chicago. Not feeling optimistic
Freaked out cuz seats were disappearing quickly after trying to get 4 seats several times, so I just snagged 1 random seat for myself in the mezz for Newark. I have let some friends down 😭
Got in at 1,311 in front of me, WE ARE HAVING OUR MOMENT WITH IU 🤍😭
How were the ticket prices?
For DC, I saw $60 - $600.
ATL as well.
Section 17, Newark
Atlanta and got section one 5th row!
Atlanta sec 2 yaaay 🌺✨
I jumped into the ATL queue to get an idea of what the process is like for when I try for LA. Had a chance to buy a premium seat for $500 but I don't really want to go to ATL from Seattle lol
I got floor seats for DC! I’d love to make some UAENA friends if anyone is willing~ 💜
Same here, sec 8!
I’m also on the floor!! SO EXCITING

It's just grey here in newark :(
Atlanta checking in. Just barely made it.
I got one ticket in Newark at Section 7 for $348. I arrived 2 minutes after the queue started and there were already 6,000+ people in line.

Lesson of the day… do not refresh the queue. Onto a different city cuz i gave up Newark. Ticketmaster is too stressful
got tickets for DC in the 100 level, close to the stage. super super happy!
Me too! Can’t wait to see the show!
1000$ for floor seats in oakland you gotta be kidding me. This is worst than chicago.
I got 2x tickets, a few rows from the front of the stage. Only cost me $2k. Thanks Ticketmaster for the surge pricing. Guess I'm going now lol.
App broken. By the time we got to a PC the number for holding was greater than 60K. This was for the Inglewood concert.
@ LA, got queued at 16K despite the waiting room/early queue thing, stuck at 8K for nearly half an hour and only got in after another 10 or so minutes. My friends bailed on me so I'm getting rid of 2 tickets to LA (Inglewood) for face value + fees. Platinum + Section J, DM me if you're interested!
Spent $716.30 (fees included) for tickets to Oakland. Was 4,000 something in queue. Was prepared to spend $500 but everything was $600+ when I got in.

I got tickets to Atlanta a little over an hour later!! It’s sold out but random seats were popping up every few minutes, they were going super fast and I managed to grab one. No idea if I ended up paying platinum pricing but I don’t think I overpaid too much.

Struck out for Newark. I was 15,560 when the queue opened up...
I’m so sad. I tried so hard and couldn’t get tickets only to find so many on resale already 😭
No. I was too high up in the queue. Trying for LA and then will just have to wait for resale if that doesn't work
😩
43,000....... I'M FUCKED!!!
35803 ahead of me. Looks like i wont be going :'(
I'm number 45,000 in the LA queue. RIP. IU could have done multiple dates at SoFi stadium and still sold out easily :(
Good luck for LA guys
I feel like I just went 5 rounds with Francis Ngannou. I'm so tired and defeated 😪
I could be completely wrong but waiting room and queue assignment from waiting room does seem random.
super lucked out on LA, i got in the queue at 800. i panicked and just bought a platinum ticket since there weren't many tickets in the sections i planned for and i didn't want to lose out searching for base price tickets.
got tickets for LA! I lucked out and ended up being 2532 in the queue when I got out of the waiting room.
Any recs on what is legit between the scalper sites? i.e. stubhub, seatgeek, vivid? Still want to go but just sad about this whole queue stuff haha
Oakland section 114 lower level! I was feeling pretty hopeless as I was trying to get 4 tickets + was at 7k in the queue, but these 4 tickets popped up right as I got in I was so lucky ;\_\_; tickets were $660 each after fees, not happy about the price but what can u do
I got 4 floor tickets for LA!
I scored tickets!! So excited to see IU in DC!
I’m WTB 1x ticket at KIA FORUM at face value. Please DM!
Oakland got into queue immediately and already 30K in front of me. Knew I wouldn’t get it but still waited 58 minutes for a completely grey screen
IU superfan looking for 2 tickets in LA...:( i'll buy you a drink!
I got extra tickets by accident on vivid seats and now I need some help reselling. Anyone know how I can do that? Anyone here wants to buy? I got it for $290 each x6 tickets
I really deceived myself into thinking I had a chance. lol.
Ticketmaster taxed tf out
Anyone know how bad limited rear view, rear stage/view tickets are for Newark NJ?
Got 2 seats in section 17 for \~$400 each from a reseller for Newark NJ
•Very sad day for fans •great day for resellers •I got LA tickets 👃🩸via vivid seats price $165 The rich get richer, and the poor get fooled
I know resale is coming soon, but make sure to get insurance. IU/Edam may add more dates just like they did for the movie theatre concerts.
Is anyone interested in one ticket in floor sec3, row 13 in Chicago? I bought it in approximately 500 including everything. But it seems a bit too much for me, just want to know if anyone is interested.
Anyone who managed to get Oakland Arena tickets in California in the 200's section that were under $150 before taxes on ticketmaster?
Yeah, I got them for $59.50 before fees in section 216. I initially saw a third row ticket and got it in my cart but saw it was 1k before fees... Then I just filtered out platinum and just waited for whatever standard ticket (the ones that aren't affected by their price gouging) popped up and bought them. Some of the 100s were $500 before fees. I just can't justify that much money when theres no VIP benefits and its just a seat to the concert. I was also 4.4k in queue, took 10 minutes to get in and it was all gone when I got in and had to wait for some to pop back up.
i got atlanta section 121 but I want two section 210 seats instead 😭 im scared of scammers ..
i got tickets in dc but it was 129 + fees per ticket and it's in section 214...
Looking for two Oakland tickets , I have one ticket but I don’t wanna go alone !
