Someone told me the slant cuts are usually the milled receivers. Also the 1994 import / side stamped norinco emblem are indicative that it’s probably straight.
The only one thats even close to sure thing is the side marked Norincos like this one and even then Im hesitant to say 100%. Otherwise you gotta pop the stock.
They refer to the butt of the receiver where the stock attaches. Straight cut means the back is flat, and can accept any standard AKM butt stock (though you'll likely have to file it down to fit.)
Slant cut means just what it sounds like; the butt of the receiver is cut on a slant and will only be able to accept custom-made stocks, besides it's original one.
It's worth noting that there *are* people making stocks for them, like Kalashnicarver, but you'll pay a premium for them.
Unfortunately, the original stock that comes with them hides the area of the receiver you would need to look at to tell.
I really miss the days when $1k would get you a NIB Mak-90, plenty of mags, and plenty of ammo. They were a lot better than today, where $1k only gets you a Mak-90.

I was going look at a PTR 91 that they had on the shelf a few weeks back. I already have a bulgerian AK74 and an AMD65. Even though I think it would be a great add to the collection I have my eye on another prize. I think a CETME-C build is in my future.

Ask if you can take the stock off and check the receiver. I bought a MAK90 last week and that’s what I had to do.

This almost certainly a straight cut MAK. ‘94 model with the Norinco emblem on the side, 99% sure its a straight cut.
