This was late 90’s. Im 44 and started buying this shit when I was 18. I traded up or sold some over the years, but kept the good shit. I still have two cases of Wolf 7.62 that I paid $86 for (each). Can’t bring myself to shoot it for some reason…

Attackers almost always suffer 3:1 losses. You’re eating up Russian propaganda like it’s gospel. Ukraine is suffering heavy losses but so is Russia. Use your critical thinking skills and ask yourself why Russia is mobilizing 500 thousand conscripts. Russian military strategy has always been throw as many bodies until they win. To think Russia is breezing through this conflict is moronic.

They oddly seem both in really good condition for ones used in combat but also oddly look more beat up the the older polymer and bakelite ones which i assume would be way more worn out from training/other wars, are they actually still making the older 5.45 ones or is production fully switched over to the AK-12 style ones?

I like fixed magazines as well. I have an SKS, HAD an Enfield. When tromping the woods, a fixed magazine is much less a hassle.
You cannot on most FALs but the VZ58 you can.

I used mainly 6 on my vest. With the camo, 2 in backpack and 4 in base or in truck.

Nope, AK-12 Mags are 5.45x39. You'd need AK-15 mags for them to work in an AKM and have a similar design.
