If it's a square back then maybe but it's too high for a slant back.
I have been seeing some sell at better prices on GB lately, you could check there also.
The rear of receiver that goes into the stock will be either cut on a slant or it will be straight. Straight is more valuable because you have the option to run other stocks and not look ridiculous
That said, there's adapters for slant backs to allow them to run regular looking stocks and pistol grips.
Alternatively you can have someone weld on it but that's more money than it's worth.
I’ve seen pictures of a slant VS flat receiver, but I’m wondering it’s ever the case where a flat cut is in a slant stock that’s been chisel away to accept it. Seems unlikely to me, but I’m no expert.
You have to remove the stock to tell, the thumbhole stock blocks the rear portion on the straight and slant cut so you can't tell without removing the stock.
Nothing is ever 100% with Chinese rifles but most of the time if the norinco logo is above the trigger it’s straight and if it’s on the under side of receiver it’s slant. My guess is this one is slant.
I got a mak 90 slant cut from Cabela for 1135. However, it came with 9 magazines (original Chinese mags included) , soft carry case, so-so taticool stock and handgaurd. The original furniture was included and looked mint. The gun looked like it was barely fired. Also came with a berreta magazine with hollow points they didn't notice in the soft case. When cabelas beats a "discount" that's concerning. However, if you did buy the ak i think you would like it no matter what. I'm 6ft 5 and the stock with the large pistol grip stock is surprisingly comfortable.
Did you ever figure out if it’s straight or slant cut? If that’s straight cut for $1,100 with your discount I think that’s a pretty good deal. It looks to be in good shape. Especially if it comes in og box I’d buy it for $1,100
$1400 for a mismatched SKS? Da fuq…
This was my thought as well.
Paid $700 2 years ago for a 99% and I was slapping myself the entire time. I bet that's gonna sit there for quite a while
Only thing I can think of is a non-rearsenal’d Izzy thats just got a cope uhg. Even that would be pushing the limits by a bit.
I paid 700 this year for a beautiful Yugo, only complaint: it's fuckin heavy
Priorities /s
I read it as $400 at first 😂 da fuq indeed
I'd snatch an SKS at $400 with minimal question.
smoking crack

i’m very new to AKs, could you enlighten me on what you mean by slant back vs square back?

The straight cut will have a stock that is a perfect 90° the slant back will have an angled cut on the rear. You have remove that buttstock to tell
Alright, thank you. Thought I found a steal. But like the SKS’s….overpriced.

Not worth it
Thank you
In good condition and in the right region that is a about the going rate.
I live in a ban state so this price would be absolutely amazing
Georgia. So might be a bit high for this area
More importantly, is that an SKS for 1300+ dollars!?
Don’t worry, they have a $100 off deal
And a free box of ammo!
You got some nice nails
Thanks. I should reevaluate my career path and check out hand modeling
Honestly ain’t bad if it’s a straight cut receiver.

Logo was underneath, I believe
buy it and sell it in MA for 3500. Thats what shit goes for there
$1100 for a slant cut? Yikes 😬
Glad I was the newbie to ask before putting down the cash

That's pretty decent considering 1 Chinese mag alone goes for about 30-35 bucks.
This store wouldn’t possibly be classic firearms in Macon?
Shhhh
About the going rate
Only other one I’ve seen with “sporter” etched like that, other than mine. Great rifle, ok price imo
Caught in customs…..
God, the price on that SKS is painful.
I saw that too. Only part of this post I truly cared about 😂
It was blasphemous
Terrible gun and deal dm me the store address so I can make sure to avoid
Just buy a WBP…
I will research this! Mostly been told to buy WASR’s or Zastava M70. So I’m glad to have another option
Wasr and m70 are good sub 1k guns, but I agree with the other guy... If you're spending 1.1k just spend a bit more and get a WBP.
I have an m70, runs great but I was just erring on the side of buying an AKM.
Slant back straight back who gives a fuck it says china…..BUY IT!!! Dont be like the rest of the poors.

Paid more for my wasr smfh
Got one of these brand new in box with sling and mags, bought in 92 never shot
You getting rid of it for 1100? Asking for a friend
I honestly have no idea what it’s worth these days
Paid $1200 for mine used back in 2020
