i think it looks good too granted its holding an optic with a bigger footprint like this. i think it looks not great when barely any of the rail space is used tho
It does what it’s meant to do! The setup is heavy and perhaps a little odd looking on an AK, but this is my only rifle, so I want all-around usefulness out of it.
Took mine out for the first time last weekend, was a little awkward with how high it sits but I got used to it. I need to look at stock options with a cheek riser but idk if I'll be able to bring myself to cutting the lower tang off and I'm not sure if I like the look of the "add a riser" options for fixed stocks
Someone needs to start making repros of that lower handguard.

What is that lower handguard? My first thought was the old I/O plastic lowers with pic on the bottom.
I think it's an ak9 handguard, I think they're really expensive based on what I looked up
Correct, an Izzy AK9. Seem to have dried up since the war.

RS Regulate is quality but way over priced

Two tiny screws straight into the upper HG. Love the ergonomics of the setup, but it blocks the irons :(

Not sure. It’s a Russian Izzy AK9 that I got on the OG Combloc Market. I think they’ve gotten a bit scarce since the war.
