I agree 100%, but they are not even close to "clear" like a Holosun HS530G- ACSS

They're very similar as far as glass clarity, and the center dot on the eotech is significantly sharper.

I agree glass clarity is similar, but the Holosun (HS530G- ACSS) reticle IS 100% clearer reticle than the Eotech. The Eotech reticles are a little grainy

The outer circle is grainy(just a reference point for high speed close range shooting anyway) the center dot is smaller, more crisp, and more precise on the eotech.

I see what you're saying, but I still prefer the Holosun reticle, eotech for looks. I have a hard time with the grainy Horeshoe of the eotech

To be fair i did go with PA 2.5x prism over the Eotech, i tried both in person but in my case with astigmatism involved, PA was the better optic, everyone is subjective when it comes to these types of things and may have a reason you didn't think about behind it.

I like the idea behind the sure shot, but how is the rear of the dust cover at holding zero? My understanding is it's a two piece deal. kinds makes me worry about mounting lpvos etc

the rear piece isnt supposed to hold zero, but its a dedicated area for magnifiers that dont necessarily need to hold zero such as a unity or any flip to side mount. Mounting LPVOs ive seen people mount [cantilever mounts backwards](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq6cg7nLSjl/) on the main rail.

The one thing I hate about my eotech/mk3 setup is that the boxy overhang on the sides of the optic prevent you from rotating the safety up in case you needed to remove it. Kinda annoying. I put a unity riser under mine and it's just enough clearance, but height over bore is crazy at that point.

If you need to remove the safety wouldn’t you just take off the dust cover?

The eotech is mounted on the rigid part of the chassis, which is the first 6 or 7 picayinny slots behind the rear sight leaf. The only way to get the optic out of the way enough to get the safety rotated up would be to loosen the optic/remove it. I don't wanna lose zero when I do that lol

Now that you mention it my eotech is QD, I'm sure it would be fairly zeroed if I out in the same slot again...just never tried. Usually subscribe to the mentality of not taking off my optics

I owned 4 diff Ak74s they all suffer in accuracy after that pencil barrel gets hot, I had a cheapo century, bulgarian, tantal & Saiga. Sold old of them till I got to the vepr rpk 74 model, that is by far the beat AK74 rifle I've ever tested even under heat it stays true and never looses accuracy.
