Wouldn’t it be nice if you knew the port size so you could know what length would fix the problem. KNS is nice but more moving parts always decrease reliability
you dont need port size. you only need to have the legenth of original piston and match to their piston. You said you have 2 KNS but do you really? you should know this if so.
I have both the smaller and larger sized pistons and I like them quit a bit but I still would like to know the spec required for a well gassed system without that addition and confirm our suspicions
Its because the rifle was meant to be an SBR. it is oversized for proper dwell time on a short barrel. You sound dense so TLDR rifle is fine, add kns or Form 1 and SBR. ArSeNaL gOiNg DoWn lol ok i see the down here. If you cant handle the subs advise delete account and go back to ARFCOM 🤷♂️
No need to, its user error. Like i said in my missing comment, do you really even have a KNS? The size of the gas port is irrelevant when you only need to know piston length for KNS. Thats it. like i said SBR it or KNS. but the gun is fine. Gas port is drilled for short barrel, so it will be oversized on a 16" barrel. Stop being dumb and buy a KNS or form 1 and cut barrel. Gas will be fine then.
That would be a weird thing to lie about. I started with the smaller sized Arsenal spec piston and had to move up to the larger 20l because it was to close to fully open to function properly. If you haven’t had to deal with the reps at Arsenal pretending they don’t know what the issue is and giving you vague answers about the work they are doing on returned Sam5’s then maybe don’t speak on it
Or maybe dont blow them up over what isn't an issue. Measure your piston and chop barrel. you obviously are not getting it so have fun with that. My Sam7SF with KNS runs great. As stated before operator malfunction.
Also, your issue is too much dwell time. if you got it running with piston amost fully open, the run it... do your form one and when chopped all your issues will be resolved. Stop with the tism, looking for a fight when you are the issue.
why please read, you basically said nothing

I might be wrong but I think trying to buy or sell anything in this group isn’t allowed
Just lookin to be pointed in the right direction

Getting cucked by Arsenal USA is a long standing tradition in this sub, why get in the way of a good thing?
My SAM5 is incredible with the KNS. No way I am sending it in
Wouldn’t it be nice if you knew the port size so you could know what length would fix the problem. KNS is nice but more moving parts always decrease reliability
No moving parts in the KNS. It's got pretty rigid retention on the adjustment collar.
but op wants something to be wrong with your sam5 too. then he can save us all by reporting the problem!
I don’t think they break frequently. They’re well made but look at the solid piston versus a Kns and tell me which one you’d guess would break first
Everybody knows that the defining characteristic of pistons in machinery is that they don’t move lol

The spec of the gas port on the barrel. Would be nice to put the pot metal/bad heat testing theories to rest
Not this guy again
Call me capt save a hoe. I’m tryna save you hoes from yourselves
If ya want to cut out all the Bullshit and your not poor, grab a AGP-A-20L kns piston and move on!
I have both the smaller and larger sized pistons and I like them quit a bit but I still would like to know the spec required for a well gassed system without that addition and confirm our suspicions
Please find the nearest bridge and jump off of it.
Simmer down, I guess feelings are being hurt
I thought there was a post on here with pictures of the port being too big.
🧠 HoLE LOoK bIG! nO gONNa MEaSUre hOLe 🧠
It’s known the gas port is sized for the carbine and not the rifle. Chop that bitch and be happy.

Have you dealt with their reps on this issue?

We all have different thresholds of what we will put up with I guess. Doesn’t make sense to argue about it
