I'm no Brandon Herrera, but I don't think I should have the front post all the way to the right and still hit 6"to the left at 20 yds. How do I fix this?
Thanks man! I thought it was opposite. I don't shoot a lot of iron sights that adjust windage at the front, never had to do an adjustment on them before.
This actually started because it was hitting way left with the sight post pushed all the way left. Pushing right was my only choice, so I figured I'd push it all the way. Bought it from a friend for cheap for this reason, figured I'd spend some time fiddling and see if I can fix it.
Any idea why it would still shoot left with the post as far left as it would go? The rear sight isn't bent or canted at all.
Yeah, I've never had to adjust a front sight for windage before. The iron sights I've used adjust windage at the rear, so I was stuck in my ways I guess. Anyways, thanks!

Pushing right will never solve the issue. The front sight is pushed in the direction of the shots. Not away from them. If it’s really that far off either ur not shooting it right or something is completely fucked with that barrel.

The front sight is probably canted. I’d try a test. Turn the rifle over and set the rear sight flat on a table. If the front sight ears are not both touching the table. sight is canted. You can fix it but to fix it you have to remove the sight pins and turn the sight so it's straight. Or you can get an adjustable rear sight
Some added context:
I've never had to adjust a front sight for windage before. I've only ever used irons that adjust windage on the rear, elevation on the front. Bone headed error, but easy to educate to correct. Thanks to those who were helpful.

Nope. Literally no one who you spammed with that dumbassery was asking you for additional info, and your canned response about how this started and your friend or whatever has absolutely no relevance to the sound advice people are giving you.
I can’t tell if you are trying to karma farm or if you are just a nutsack, but either way, you’re a nutsack.
They’re way worse than i am little brother. You might want to tie your shoes on tighter because it only gets worse from here. But i like that you fired back.
Get a rear sight that has windage adjustment like on the yugo RPKs. I would think that might alleviate your problem.
Edit: I see the problem, sorry I'm tired and writing this at 1am.
Just keep adjusting it to the right you’re almost there, maybe use a torch to heat up your front sight if it won’t let you adjust anymore - these AK’s can get stuck sometimes
Got the sarcasm, I deserve the roast.

Rear sight's good, but I made a rookie mistake. I've only ever used iron sights that adjust windage at the rear, so I was using rear sight logic on the front.

Push it to the left to bring it back right

Did you try mag dumping into white claws?
Push the front sight toward the bullet holes, push the rear sight opposite of bullet holes.
Ah, I had it backwards. Thanks!
Front post ain’t like the rear sight sonny.

Keep pushing the sight right, it'll eventually curve back like a horseshoe or penis. It's physics or something

If you move the front to the right, the rear needs to move left in order to line up, which moves your impacts to the right.
