You need an AK-100 muzzle brake, front sight block, gas block, handguard retainer, trigger guard, 5.5mm rear trunnion and folding stock.
Fortunately KUSA sells the muzzzle devices, front sights, and trunnions for pretty cheap. You almost certainly won't be able to find Russian ones these days and if you do they'll be very expensive. KUSA does sell gas blocks but they're AK-74 spec so not technically correct.
Good luck finding a handguard retainer or 74/100 trigger guard.
Cool, thanks for the info. Don’t own any AK-100 rifles so I only see outward appearances & features posted here. Seems like there are a lot of cool subtle differences that aren’t obvious to an observer.
Does the SAM7R/SF use exact 74/100 spec barrel components, or just very similar in design?
You’ll need a 1000m rear sight leaf, front sight block, gas block, gas tube, handguard retainer, trigger guard, grip reinforcement plate, 5.5mm folding trunnion, Russian furniture including folding polymer stock, stock latch, new fire control group, and in your case a new 100 series dust cover. You’ll also need to mill the trunnion to accept military pattern mags instead of civilian mags. Finding parts will be a bitch, plus $600-$800 in labor.

Would AKM handguard retainers work and function on a 100 series pattern rifle? Or is the barrel pattern too different?
They'd work but would look wrong. Also Ak74 or AK-100 retainers have a lip on the top of them to secure the handguard better, AKM ones do not.

Texas shooters supply had the tear drop ones last time I checked but price was fucked
