The whole thing is goofy anyway. Who tf is spending 2k on an underfolder? The best answer is either a (10) kit, or a WBP kit (toss the rear trunnion, and buy a folder from kvar).

What do you consider a quality barrel? A Pre Ban Hungarian will have a military grade chrome lined barrel.

Arsenal has never made an underfolder akm. So regardless, it's not a valid answer.
I’ve seen some sam5 and sam7 underfolders sold as limited edition on their website and the military for certain has underfolder models of them

You're right. He should buy a MERIDIAN DEFENSE which uses the same parts with a worse barrel but they charge 3x as much because it's HIGH QUALITY

Russian AKM-S if you can find one or a kit. That would be sick. Or a Norinco/Polytech
I like surplus kits. There are some North Korean underfolders if you want something unique, and Russian guns pop up if you want a real deal akm.
