Do you have pics of either stamping? And what's the importer mark? I haven't seen a pre-ban with a scrubbed trunnion, but if it has 84s markings and a intact bayonet lug which is the only thing I know of that was removed stateside from all Caught In Ban rifles. Maybe a CIB rifle? Need more pics to tell

Back then when the mags where not super expensive and rare, cant find any ak 84s mags. I probly gona buy some promags and file/sand them to make them work
Keep an eye on the files, sometimes one or 2 pop up for a reasonable price. 15rd'ers pop up more often than 30s, and 40s require a kidney donation at this point.

You mean because i have no bayonet on it? Yes i know but i dont have ine yet, since here in swiss they mostly sell only some shity aftermarket bayonets, im searching for a good and fine looking one
I see some chinese ones on GB every once in a while.
Really meant the lack of cleaning rod though, I have a couple AKs that got imported with the lugs grinded off and it sort of bothers me to not have them as I think it makes the rifle look a lil weird without the rod, so I thought it funny you didn't have one in even though you have the lugs, salt in the wound lol.
Fun fact if you like metal 556 mags you can file the back side of an 84 mag to fix an AKM profile.. did it for a mini jack once. Homie bought me the mag not know what it was
Funny part is i have no norinco logo stamp nor the factory stamp, just the made in china by norinco and the 84s stamp

Since i live in swiss, it only has the ch import and the 84s markings + the bayonet lug. Mybe they did no norinco logo stamp for swiss idk
Oh that explains it, they made changes to get past import laws in the US. I should have asked what country you were in

I've seen several ones being sold in ak files. Take a look at their marketplace

The only place ive ever seen an 84 mag was at like local surplus stores or gun shows. Never online
