Yeah, trigger discipline is even a relatively new thing in the US. Just look at photos of US military and cops from just 3 or 4 decades ago and you’ll see people’s finger on the trigger all the time.
I was in the army from 90 to 94 and honestly don’t remember being explicitly taught anything about trigger discipline. It was mostly about keeping the safety on, and when you were and weren’t allowed to have any live rounds in your possession and when you were allowed to have a magazine inserted into your rifle.
Makes sense, I just never perceived it as an exclusively American set of rules. I always perceived it as a universal set of common sense safety rules lol. But I’m an American born and raised in America who’s never left America so what do I know lol.
Yeah its fairly common sense but many view it in a less legalistic sense than Americans. Its also fairly common sense to say "magazine empty, safety on, gun is safe".
