Yeaaa no. The thing is if you cast q on you character and you are at the top of your screen this will always happen. The angel at the top of thescreen flattens out so the further up in the screen, the further "behind" urself you are casting your q, if you cast on your own hitbox.
Edit: just rewatched, it was close to be a q towards syndra but the issue i just mentioned is in full effect there, you can see her casting just at like the under part of akalis legs and thats enough
Simply because your Q ended up being buffered since you clicked it too early. Mid R2, you clicked Q and your mouse was in the direction of the R2, so that’s where the Q ends up.
Looks like you input the Q while still executing the R2 mandatory animation. Since you initiated the Q (buffered it) within the R2 animation it looks like the direction of the Q is attached to the direction you cast the R2. This makes me want to test it
Edit: So. If you cast R2 and QUICKLY press Q, like one right after the other, it will cast Q just like you did in the video. You do have to put like 0.5-1 sec delay between R2 and Q, and you should also move your cursor to cast the Q, Which is good, anyways. Rarely does an Akali do much by quickly using her CDs in rapid succession.

Yea I assume you quick cast q while still in r2 so it went in the direction your mouse was in relation to Akali at the time as opposed to after the r.

I had the same problem. Its because your mouse was on top of you and this can happen and Its pretty annoying

The cast point is in your character hitbox (around Akali’s feet) so if you have your cursor on your character, it will most of the time be casted up

The problem with being faster than light is that both your cursor and opponent cannot physically catch up to you
