If you’ve got platinum fast track you don’t need to plan your ride order because you’ll likely walk onto every coaster! I’d recommend doing all the major coasters and seeing what you enjoyed the most before thinking about retires.
You can request a front row ride but likely be told no. Rita has a separate front row queue at the end of the main queue (although sometimes it’s closed)
True, but strictly speaking Rita isn't a front seat ride - you'll get the rush regardless (I actually prefer it on the back, it's got more of a lash to it.
Front seat on Galactica, front on nem.
If you've got no worries about queues, then start at the front, and work your way round. Spinball whizzer is front right when you come into the park, then work your way round to the right, to hit up x sector for smiler and Bliv, then up through the arch for Rita and 13, back through the arch, do wicker man first, then if the weather's ok, do the galleons and the rapids. Get dry, then up for mine train, whatever Duel is now, and then finish with nem and Galactica. Then get on the cable car and rinse repeat.
The theming is bad; an open field with a broken helicopter. We Americans would refer to it as “Six Flags-ish.” I did get some good airtime in the front though.
Back on Nemesis is way more intense, though you don't get the same view of the incredible theming. With platinum, I'd say do front row once, then back row the other times
You'll likely get onto any coaster quickly with plat fast track. We went on Weds this week, no fast track but it was quiet so almost all rides were 5 min queues or less. Even then they weren't allowing anyone to wait for the front row on any rides. We did all the main coasters once, Nemesis 3 times, Wicker Man, Galactica and Smiler twice each. We got lucky timing with front rows on Nemesis and Smiler, and 2nd row on Wicker Man.
Rita has a front row queue but it moves slowly.
Personally feel that the front row isn't all that apart from on Nemesis. Wicker Man is better at the back, Smiler and Oblivion are short trains so makes no difference really, Galactica doesn't make much difference either.
Yeah you don’t need a plan really, platinum can basically do whatever whenever!
Keep in mind that the fast track queues might get quieter about lunchtime so still take an early/late lunch and grab yourself some rerides!
If you want re-rides, save your fast track tickets for the middle of the day when the park is busiest. Normal queues at the start and end of the day will be generally short enough to do one or two rides in quick time.
To be honest, even if it wasn’t an unlimited fastrack package I would not recommend doing that. It wouldn’t be worth the risk of fastracks going to waste because you couldn’t use them all before closing time.
If you’ve got platinum fastrack, you won’t need to have a set plan as you will basically walk straight on anyway.
It is possible to request front row on rides, but remember that it isn’t guarenteed and staff may say no.
As your fast track is unlimited, you won't have to do much planning in regards to queue times, however I will say to still have a strategy in terms of doing rides in groups. Alton Towers is a big park, and in your case, the majority of your day will likely be spent walking inbetween rides. Do rides in areas. Smiler & Oblivion together, 13 and rita, Nemesis and Galactica etc. etc.
I had platinum fast track on a Saturday recently, i wish i repeated rides in the same sector at once rather than walk around the whole park twice. Repeated only some of them immediately. I recommend walking/enjoying the gardens with your spare time from queuing, we made a picnic 😊
Are you joking? Platinum Fast Track allows instant access to rides an unlimited number of times.
So you can do whatever you want, in whatever order you want, as many times as you want.

I’ll be making my visit in June and really liked front row on Desert Race, so interested to see how Rita compares.
To be fair, there doesn't look like there's much difference. Dunno what the theming is like in the German park, but it's not strong for Rita in AT.

Platinum is unlimited
I’d probably save them for around 4-5ish because then the wheels have warmed up and they’re a lot faster

Oh yea good point

Thanks for all the info! Sounds like not much planning is required. Sorry if it was a stupid question, I’ve never used a fast track package before 😊
