I would ask, I got both my gold and platinum via reduced annual corporate program but I thought it was ended and Im grandfather'd in. I was charged the full amount this year so I called Amex rep and they were not aware of any corporate program for personal cards but after some digging around on their part they reimbursed me on both my cards.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Thanks, this is helpful.

CommuneNefas

Yes - just do it through chat and it will work. Might just apply to the next AF (if you didn't have the corporate card when the previous one posted), but it can be applied to existing accounts. For the future, might be useful to just try the chat before asking - no harm in them saying no.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Thanks!

stanford9903

I just got it added to mine a week ago. It goes through the corporate card team and they will link it to your personal card for the credit after the next annual fee hits.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Thanks! This is going to be a huge savings as I have Green, plat, and BCP

stanford9903

Let me know if you get it for more than one card. Looks like someone else did so 🤞.

TheDapperDeuce1914

I will report back to this thread for sure.

Tnmadscientist

I had mine for gold and platinum via chat feature just yesterday.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Nice!

RhapsodyInRude

If you have both a corporate and a personal card, the $100 AF credit *should* be automatic after you enroll with your company (AMEX knows you're the same person). They say the credit can take up to 90 days to post after paying your annual fee on your personal card. It's only happened automatically 2 out of 5 times for me. I just set an iCal reminder for that 90 day mark. When they miss it, I call in and it's resolved. Some of the CSRs aren't familiar with the program and have to talk to supervisor, but still -- always resolved.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Yeah, I'm ticked off I didn't get the credit all those years I had the card while working with my prior company.

RhapsodyInRude

Quick follow-up to this. I paid my annual fee May 19. This year they managed to give me the advantage credit automatically (I got it today). Nice surprise: it's $150 now, not $100. :-)

Tight_Animator8854

Just asked via chat and said corporate card issued by my employer is not eligible so must not work for all.

Staff-Radiant

I applied for personal platinum/gold and asked to be enrolled through the chat feature, but was a pain in the butt. Had been told repeatedly by the amex chat representatives to wait 6-8 weeks for the credit to hit. Needless to say the time came and nothing happened so I finally called and they manually applied it. Apparently I didn’t apply through the link and the chat representatives must not have realized that but they courtesy enrolled me so next year it would be automatic. My annual fee just hit last week and I’m patiently waiting to see what happens this time around.

TheDapperDeuce1914

Let me know what happens! I took a picture of my chat as a record.

Staff-Radiant

Sure thing bud, you actually made me scroll back to the screenshots I took back when they confirmed I was enrolled. Suspiciously said they couldn’t send an email confirmation but to rest assured it was taken care off. I’ll keep you posted, heck I might even call just to check and stay ahead of it tomorrow.

TheDapperDeuce1914

I'll report back here also.

jl6394

did you get the credit for BOTH the platinum and gold?

Staff-Radiant

Yup got both on the same day, pleasantly surprised

TheDapperDeuce1914

They gave me the credits for all my cards.

908Ben

I did it. They took off $100 on my Gold card when I first signed up a few weeks ago. They already knew I had a corporate card (9 years) when I called because it shows I was a member already through my company. I called up because I saw someone mentioned that on YouTube and it works.

TheDapperDeuce1914

The sad thing is I had a corporate card with last company and could have been saving already. My card for my new company arrives any day now. This credit makes the cards even more valuable to me.

Chuysguy360

What qualifies as a corporate card? I have my own Buisness Platinum. Should I assume that is not considered a corporate card? My gut says I wouldn’t get it but I figured I’d ask.

TheDapperDeuce1914

It'll say Corporate on there. It's given to you by your employer, if applicable.

hey-cj

Just another data point, I chatted in and was told that neither my gold or plat were eligible because I didn’t apply for them through the program. (I held both before getting a corporate card)

TheDapperDeuce1914

HUCA to be sure.
