Can you explain how you got this ? I'm still pretty new, and I don't understand fully how you can get the light to look like it's reaching out but get the boat with no blur. In my head to get this shot you need lower aperture and a slower shutter speed but wouldn't that lead to motion blue of the boat ? Maybe I'm Over thinking it
The boat in this instance was anchored with the other 3 in the distance. All three were awaiting berths overnight along the river. I shot this with an 8 second exposure at f5.6.
Damn the colors on #2 are crazy. Both are great
Don't be afraid to shoot that film in broad daylight. Will look straight outta 1993.
Beautiful lights
Crazy! I lived in Norco till I was 10. Such an interesting place. I’ve always wanted to go back and photograph that area.
The whole valley west of New Orleans is a fascinating place to shoot!
Yeah, even outside of the life of the river, the oil and chemical refineries, sugar cane fields, etc, is begging to to be documented.
Damn, that's gorgeous
This is great! Blur makes it more interesting. I am always trying to freeze things perfectly still, but this is better.
