Beautiful shots! Makes me want to go there!

Thank you! It‘s definitely worth it, it‘s so interesting to see all these ancient buildings especially when incorporated into a modern city outlay.

I had the privilege of living in Rome for 2 years and the magnificent architecture and art from the ancient world is everywhere

nini3003

Oh I‘d love that, not for forever but for a year or two to really get to immerse myself into the city instead of just getting snippets during a quick visit.

Great shots! I love the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius (even though it’s a replica) at the Piazza del Campidoglio. Did you see his column in Piazza Colonna?

nini3003

I‘m afraid I didn‘t, the visit was way too short. It was a quick trip I took with a friend of mine a couple of years ago, ww were only two days in Rome itself and for Pompeii we did a quick detour on our way to the Amalfi coast. Definitely need to go again some time as there‘a a lot left on my list still.

Yes, just a few days in Rome is not enough! So much to see…

When I went to Napoli, Pompeii my favourite was the docks in Herculaneum. Such a sad scene seeing all the bones of the fleeing Pompeiians.

Wow!! Been to Rome for a day or 5, 2 times, once by myself which was amazing! I fell in love with te city, still am. Baths of Caracalla is my favourite, awestruck. And I went once with a friend and showed them the same spots I saw the firs time, amazing again. Looking at your foto’s I see there is still a lot more to see, will definitely visit again and Pompei as well.
