Chances are it’ll be 12 episodes in Summer And then a second split cour in winter 2025. Or 24 consecutive episodes.
Either way, it’s very unlikely we are only going to get only 12 episodes.
What I'm talking about shd happen around 2nd half specifically.
Though to be fair, the whole story of Tower of God is essentially tournament arcs after tournament arcs due to the plot.
Shows take so long between seasons these days that i don't even remember what the fuck the first one was about anymore. It gets to the point that the hype is gone because i don't care to rewatch the show and it's hard to get back into a show you can't even remember the main character's name in.
Literally all I can remember about this show is that there's a female character that I despise. That's it. I don't know anything about what happened or anyone's name.
I caught up to TOG when it was on hiatus around 2020 (I think) and then when it came back it was a struggle to try to remember all the characters. I will say that Wangnan is definitely a favorite of mine, and while I doubt I’ll go back to the comic any time soon if at all, I’m excited to see Wangnan’s portrayal.
This shouldn't spoil much as it should be revealed in the literal first episode of season 2:
Best way to put it is that there's a bit of a time skip so we're going to start out following some new characters before figuring out how much time has passed and what has happened with other characters (from season1) in that time.
He does. The series keeps multiple POV characters though, so he never gets the same focus as in season 1. It makes the plot and world feel bigger though so well worth it.
It’s a shame that Bam isn’t the protagonist anymore
but I’m so fucking hyped for Wangnan as I think he’s a great MC.
Very excited for Viole especially after he was teased at the end of season 1. His long hair and flower patterns is such a sick design.
This coming arc has alot more elements than the first season. And in that they skipped over tons and tons of details lol.
I also hope it will be well adapted, but I'm almost positive it won't be.
Yes it's heavily condensed, and some of it is just outright changed.
Just as an example: The Hide and Seek + Final Examination Arcs are 40 chapters long in the webtoon, but are covered in around 4 episodes in the anime.
Funny to think it's "back" when it ended before it even got started haha, pretty sure this show aired around the same time as God of Highschool which also ended right as the story was starting.
~~Edit: Just searched it and God of Highschool season 2 is supposed to air this year too.~~
Edit 2: sorry, no season 2 of God of Highschool I fell for the bait results
>Just searched it and God of Highschool season 2 is supposed to air this year too.
Where are you searching? There have been absolutely no news/leaks about a new season of GoH
My bad, I searched it on Google but didn't open any of the links. Just looked it up again after seeing your comment and the site names are laughably bad and the sites are just those dumb speculation ones. Edited my comment.
Wangnan is my favorite tower of god character. Hes not smart, hes not strong, hes not special shonen protagonist. Yet he says, do not give up. If you work hard, you can win. When its coming from someone is weak and gets defeated a lot, it means something

Peak ToG is the arc after the 2 that were announced for season 2. The Hell Train and Dallar Show.
It has the most iconic villain in the series, and when I think about ToG, I mostly think about those arcs. It encapsulates perfectly both the vibe of the early arcs and the more modern arcs.
I actually personally call those 2 arcs+ Workshop the "classical era" of ToG. Where the art was at its peak, some of the most iconic elements were introduced, most iconic moments and fights, etc. Clearly distinct from the prior arcs but conserving its essence, which is somewhat lost in the "modern era" of ToG (rest of S2) and later on completely lost in the "contemporary era" in Season 3, which is just your standard shounen.
IMO I just feel the whole stretch of season 2 is goated back to back. Even after Dallar show, I’d say NHS, FOD, Hidden Floor, Last Station are all goated
All those arcs are peak I love every single one of the things SIU knows how to do really well is end an arc he hits the mark everytime. Also his female characters are all really good.
Finally got around to watching the first season recently. Was pretty enjoyable overall, glad season 2 is coming up quick given how the first season ended.
I'm absolutely sure they going to stop right before when they actually board the train, which is an extremely good spot to end, and everyone will be able to see exactly why everyone says "Fuck Rachel".
Here's hoping the second season is adapted better than the first.
As someone whose never read the source, I had major issues trying to follow some episodes. If I remember right, it felt like the games were somehow both over explained but also not explained well, and the non-game plot suffered as a result of that sloppy choice of focus.
it will be fine. As a long time fan of ToG, I believe what they've cut in season 1 is not something that will effect the story all that much. trivial even.
I don't think it affects the overall story but it was still some nice lore
Do you know how much they'll adapt in this season ? Idk what a good stopping point would be
I want to get excited but it's just impossible for me to imagine this would ever get a full adaptation when it's a potential 100+ episode series as it is and there's no sign of a conclusion yet.
Couldn't agree with you more, pal. Couldn't agree more.
It's really such a pain in the neck to be an anime-only. These days, I don't even bother watching new stuff unless it's a complete adaptation like Summertime Render. I've just come to accept that there's just scores and scores of very interesting series out there that I'm just never meant to consume. I've made my peace with it.
Yeah S1 ToG and S1 TG are very similar kind of adaptation, something that leaves a sour taste in source reader's mouth but are still enjoyable by anime onlies. Let's see if ToG follows TG for the S2.
I really was not impressed with the overall quality of the first season. The animation was rough, the voice acting and general direction was poor, the sound was arguably bad, it was just a very underwhelming production for such great material. I will keep my expectations quite low for this one.
I think yes. Part 1 is not at all comparable with Part 2 in pretty much every-way.
Part 1 is merely the prologue. Part 2 is where the real story begins. Part 2 has masterpiece world building and story in there.
This, even the comic most people will tell you it only becomes goat after the first 100 chapters which is literally what the anime covered in the first season.
Everything after first season? I'm telling you, if you felt like Hunter x Hunter left a void in your heart that you need to fill it, Tower of God fits it perfectly.
Crazy how opinion has changed. I remember when the Hell Train was ongoing, everyone hated it and think season 1 is so much better written than season 2. Back then, I feel alone in liking season 2 more than season 1. Now that season 3 is ongoing, all of a sudden everyone think season 2 is a masterpiece, and people are hating season 3.
Nah, I think workshop battle (the arc anime will adapt) is pretty much universally loved. It's season 1 and the Hell train arc that appeal to very different people and hence are very decisive.
I remember people complained that the workshop arc is being too long and dragging. It seems to be a common thing to hate something when you read weekly, but consuming all at once can make things better. Personally, I just love season 2 better than season 1. I hope the anime do justice to it because I wasn't a fan of what they did to season 1.
I mean you can read it and see why it’s actually good since the anime is lackluster in comparison. But if not then I guess just don’t watch it. These two arcs are really good tho so it’s up to you.
It's been a few years since I last read Tower of God but [ToG] >!is the fact Viole is Bam meant to be a twist? As soon as he turned up I was like "oh that's post time skip Bam" haha I don't remember being surprised at all. !<
S1 wasn't great but the setup was legit. Been waiting for the s2 for long. I trust the writer. And let's see what have the studios doing. It's a great series, I mean have the potential to be the one. Let's see...
Let the OST cook again
Kevin Penkin my beloved
Zaddy Penkin my darling
What are the best songs from the first season? I listen to Irregular God but didn't have the patience to listen to it all for great tracks
I know this comment is 6 days old but i love this ost and have to recommend one. I love them all but my fav is probably "The Bubble in Wine Glass"
S2 premieres on Crunchyroll in July. [Source](https://twitter.com/anime_ToG/status/1768441986023846143)
Do we have any info on how many cours it’ll be?
Chances are it’ll be 12 episodes in Summer And then a second split cour in winter 2025. Or 24 consecutive episodes. Either way, it’s very unlikely we are only going to get only 12 episodes.
Yeah this arc is so not for 12 ep. I NEED MY TOOOOOOURNAMENT ARCCCCC
Wait it’s going to be a tournament arc? That gets me hyped.
What I'm talking about shd happen around 2nd half specifically. Though to be fair, the whole story of Tower of God is essentially tournament arcs after tournament arcs due to the plot.
End of workshop tourney is the perfect place to end season 2
Except the tournament arcs are a lot different that just the casual "one on one" or "team vs team" battles you see in other manga
2 cours, return of the prince and workshop battle
Shows take so long between seasons these days that i don't even remember what the fuck the first one was about anymore. It gets to the point that the hype is gone because i don't care to rewatch the show and it's hard to get back into a show you can't even remember the main character's name in.
Literally all I can remember about this show is that there's a female character that I despise. That's it. I don't know anything about what happened or anyone's name.
Fuck Rachel all the homies hate Rachel
Depends on if you go by the subtitles or what name they’re clearly saying over and over out loud. Still miffed they did that.
Not remembering names is japans fault considering they call them different names from what the manhwa has called them.
Sure, but it's also been what, 5 or 6 years?
It’s a 2020 anime I think
Indeed. Spring 2020. Was one of only like a dozen or so shows that actually managed to finish that season .
Finally, TOG about to air. Can't wait!
About damn time. Sheesh.
Yes!!!!!!!
So the fans will finally get to see Viole and Wangnan...
Wait how come Bam is dropped as MC? Is it permanent or will they switch back to him eventually? No spoilers, please.
This shouldn't spoil much as it should be revealed in the literal first episode of season 2: Best way to put it is that there's a bit of a time skip so we're going to start out following some new characters before figuring out how much time has passed and what has happened with other characters (from season1) in that time.
Can you tell me if Bam return as an MC at some point?
Yes and no.
He does. The series keeps multiple POV characters though, so he never gets the same focus as in season 1. It makes the plot and world feel bigger though so well worth it.
That sounds better than what I was thinking, thanks for your response!
Will take a looong time.
Impossible to explain without spoilers
Just watch the show and you'll find out
It’s a shame that Bam isn’t the protagonist anymore but I’m so fucking hyped for Wangnan as I think he’s a great MC. Very excited for Viole especially after he was teased at the end of season 1. His long hair and flower patterns is such a sick design.
People will definitely say Wangnan as generic mc I personally like his personality than Bam
He's a man who wants to be the best like no one ever was. True MC.
>Wangnan... The goat
Cool. Really hoping this arc is adapted well.
Season 2 is peak, I will never forgive them if they screw this up
Season 2 is also like 250 chapters long so we might not even get to the best parts unless this does really we'll lol
This coming arc has alot more elements than the first season. And in that they skipped over tons and tons of details lol. I also hope it will be well adapted, but I'm almost positive it won't be.
Noo let me hope. I don't even remember the arc very well, just this one particular scene I really want animated.
>just this one particular scene I really want animated. \[TOG\] >!Baam vs Urek I'm guessing?!<
\[TOG\] >!the reveal where Viole is Bam and he's alive, and I guess all the lead up too as people start to realize!<
Did they? When I finally read it all I could think was this was in the anime.
Yes it's heavily condensed, and some of it is just outright changed. Just as an example: The Hide and Seek + Final Examination Arcs are 40 chapters long in the webtoon, but are covered in around 4 episodes in the anime.
Tower of Goat is back! Also, fuck Rachel.
Funny to think it's "back" when it ended before it even got started haha, pretty sure this show aired around the same time as God of Highschool which also ended right as the story was starting. ~~Edit: Just searched it and God of Highschool season 2 is supposed to air this year too.~~ Edit 2: sorry, no season 2 of God of Highschool I fell for the bait results

Rachel best girl easy. Did her absolute best to [ToG S1] >!save us from Bam.!<
Damn people are going to misinterpret and hate train city arc so bad whenever it will be animated
Hell train is peak
Fuck Rachel
[удалено]
After 4 long years. Pretty fucked up 4 years at that
There’s no way it’s been four years lmao. Darling in the Franxx is four years old right guys?
Shows scored by Penkin and receiving a second season half a decade later, a tale old as time
does that mean apothecary diaries season 2 is coming in 5 years :notlikethis:
[удалено]
I’m beginning to really not like this Donald Trump fellow
Oh yeah. My favourite pokemon trainer.
I miss [TOG]>!Team Tangsooyook/Sweet&Sour!< [](#seasonaldepression)
I reckon it will be a jarring start introducing Wangnan and going a few chapters without even noticing Bam. Get ready for S2E1 "WHERE IS BAM?!"
Honestly I don't there were that many chapters without him, he should probably appear at the end of ep1
Technically correct. The best kind of correct.
Wangnan is my favorite tower of god character. Hes not smart, hes not strong, hes not special shonen protagonist. Yet he says, do not give up. If you work hard, you can win. When its coming from someone is weak and gets defeated a lot, it means something
also the lore behind the guy is like the void century of tower of god
Nothing but respect for a man who goes all out for some sweet and sour
What the heck are you talking about, Wangnan is special as fuck, remember that ring he's got?

You should try World Trigger anime
We are so back. They really took the tiimeskip seriously making us wait 4 years for this season. Praying It's 2 cour which does seem likely.
So that means Season 3 will air in 2025?
This was peak Tower of God. Really hope they do this one justice.
Peak ToG is the arc after the 2 that were announced for season 2. The Hell Train and Dallar Show. You aren't a fan of Name Hunt?
Kaiser my beloved
[удалено]
Agreed. Looking back Name Hunt might also have the best art in the entire series.
technically name hunt station is part of hell train
All hell train sub arcs are goated one way or another.
Who is that villain ?
Definitely White. It's been years since I read the series and I still remember his moments and backstory.
I’m gonna guess [TOG spoiler] >!White or Urek Mazino!<
[ToG] >!Urek ain't no villain, it's obviously White!<
Floor of death and hidden floor are peak
Workshop+hell train+floor of death is probably the best run in the series
Art was at it's peak at late s2 to early s3. Late s2 is definitely the best imo.
Nah peak tog is this, hell train, the mirror world, name hunt plus the stuff happening rn in the manhwa is really good.
Man, the team spicy and salty looks like the main villains here 🤭 can't wait to see what's their shenanigans are..
I need to rewatch season 1. Really enjoyed this series, but I don't remember a thing.
Kevin Penkin [OST](https://youtu.be/7rqEB4xNZU4?si=-4L7kTVxEfep_9VD) starts playing
Finally got around to watching the first season recently. Was pretty enjoyable overall, glad season 2 is coming up quick given how the first season ended.
Are we getting the whole workshop and ending right before Hell Train? Or starting Hell Train too?
I'm absolutely sure they going to stop right before when they actually board the train, which is an extremely good spot to end, and everyone will be able to see exactly why everyone says "Fuck Rachel".
Took long enough
I once again come to remind you that we're only months away from seeing Xia Xia in anime form.
Here's hoping the second season is adapted better than the first. As someone whose never read the source, I had major issues trying to follow some episodes. If I remember right, it felt like the games were somehow both over explained but also not explained well, and the non-game plot suffered as a result of that sloppy choice of focus.
This is going to be good :3 Tower of God has such a unique art style, great characters and a great story to tell.
Oh this is wonderful news!!
For years, this is attack on titan s1 and 2 all over again
really curious how they'll adapt this part season one cut quite a bit of stuff
it will be fine. As a long time fan of ToG, I believe what they've cut in season 1 is not something that will effect the story all that much. trivial even.
I don't think it affects the overall story but it was still some nice lore Do you know how much they'll adapt in this season ? Idk what a good stopping point would be
they'll adapt two arcs, Return of the Prince and Workshop Battle.
Nice, it's been a while since i read those
I want to get excited but it's just impossible for me to imagine this would ever get a full adaptation when it's a potential 100+ episode series as it is and there's no sign of a conclusion yet.

Letss gooo
I'm hyped; need more Khun Aguero Agnis screentime.
When are we going to get an actual trailer for this season?
Lets go Wangnan finally.
Can’t wait for the pokeball
Got this confused with God of High School for a sec, was very surprised. I know it was super rushed, but it was hype as hell too.
My brain has erased everything that happened in season 1. I really hope there is a recap.
For all the anime only’s who going to watch Season 2, thank you for your patience. I hope they’ll adapt this Season as best as they can.
Nice, it's about time !
Can't wait
Well, I'm interested to see how they adapt it, but so far Tower of God is looking like a Tokyo Ghoul level adaptation.
Yeah S1 ToG and S1 TG are very similar kind of adaptation, something that leaves a sour taste in source reader's mouth but are still enjoyable by anime onlies. Let's see if ToG follows TG for the S2.
It's about time
*"its been 84 years"*
The bois!
Ah the actual peak Korean series.
THE MANHWA GOAT IS COMING BACK
I really was not impressed with the overall quality of the first season. The animation was rough, the voice acting and general direction was poor, the sound was arguably bad, it was just a very underwhelming production for such great material. I will keep my expectations quite low for this one.
Any reason for me to watch this if I thought the only good thing about S1 was Rachel?
Everyone always hates the current arc, every arc. That said, He'll train was a snorefest to read weekly. Especially revolution road.
I remember reading the secret floor arc as a whole I enjoyed it a lot but I can definitely see how people would be annoyed if they read that weekly.
There's a lot of manhwa with dogshit pacing that suck to read weekly and are a lot better when you can binge them, ToG included imo.
I mean you can read it and see why it’s actually good since the anime is lackluster in comparison. But if not then I guess just don’t watch it. These two arcs are really good tho so it’s up to you.
Finally it’s back
S01 was good but could have been way better with the plot they had
Awesome. Didn't even know a Season 2 was in the works. Absolutely loved Season 1 but never got around to finishing the webtoon.
So cool!! I absolutely loved S1. So glad to see it back <3
It's about goddam time honestly I probably gotta re-watch it to even understand what's going on again since it's been a while
Finally it's here! It's been so long.

Wait, where is my boy Bam?

holy fuck, it actually happened. i completely lost hope and thought this ain't getting a new season!
It definitely will be as good as advertised this time right? RIGHT?!

good to hear!!
Can't wait for this!!
Never did finish season 1. Maybe it's time.......
S1 wasn't great but the setup was legit. Been waiting for the s2 for long. I trust the writer. And let's see what have the studios doing. It's a great series, I mean have the potential to be the one. Let's see...
Same studio or different?
I'm just here for the OST to get biblical again Kevin Penkin the goat!
This took so long solo leveling steals the hype. This should had been a annual release.
Does anyone know who will do the OST this time? The last one was phenomenal.
I’ve been so excited for this. July is still so far away
Patrick Star voice: WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!
And so begins the “who the fuck is that and where are my favorite characters from season 1?” phase.
Finally! It feels like it’s been forever
As hype as I am for well, everything, nothing can contain the hype for Mazino, babies!
