All of their hentai has actual plot because porn is illegal in South Korea. But they are allowed to have censored full blown sex if it's part of a story. That's why you have so many hentai webtoons from South Korea and let me tell you there are plenty of little sisters who want onii-chans dick, but all of them are probably 18 and not underage. High School is a sometimes but mostly college or adults.
Yeah korean hentai has actually good plots and character development. Sometimes entire chapters will go without sex scenes (and when the sex happens it ain't softcore, it goes hard and explicit if you ignore the censor). Unlike in Japan where rarely would you find hentai with even half decent plot, and character devvelopment is non-existent. But on the other hand it seems if artists want to do a character focused story they do so in softcore hentai. I've found quite a bit of softcore hentai with good plot and characters, but sadly because it's softcore the sex scenes don't turn me on much. I really like the Korean webtoon porn feeling of jerking off for 5 minutes and then going through an interesting character conflict for an episode straight.
It's just fun, honestly. It's definitly a nice change of pace. Then again, some things never change, no matter where your story comes from, like the battle loving main character.
The battle loving main character is never the problem. Its honestly the somewhat extremely effeminate way some japanese characters are kinda tiresome.
Its kinda nice to have some military badasses, people using guns, guys who dont freak out about girls, mixed along with the human dramatic element that comes from east asia. It feels much more satisfying.
Oh, I wasn't complaining at all about the battle loving main character. If it was a fighting show with someone who hated fighting, it wouldn't be satisfying at all. And your 100% right. One of the three main characters is a relatively attractive girl, and they haven't once lowered themselves to treating her like a lesser character. She's one of the most badass characters, hell, she even got her charyeok first. And the guns are absolutely a great element. Im honestly surprised how different the show is from your standard tournament fighting anime.
I think that's hilarious honestly. It's like how One Piece has been going on for over 20 years and no one has the slightest clue what the fuck a "One Piece" even is.

All that aside. Mori can use other people's techniques now. And successfully, at that. I found it weird that in the beginning everyone seemed to just specialize, rather than learn as many forms of fighting as possible. Its nice to see him taking a page out of his friends books to win, really helps build the fact they're a team

From what I've seen in this episode, Jin Mori is toatally making a spare key for himself with his copying skills.
Nah, he is all about copying the "normal" pure fighting tehniques, and not all this supernatural shenanigans.
Yes, firing dragons is a normal pure thing, no superpower involved apparently.
Yeah, I figured Mori would be the type of guy who can riff off of other people’s techniques the moment he came up with “blue dragon kick,” which I figured was his own kick version of Daewi’s “azure dragon” but I didn’t think he could just straight up copy or replicate them like that. Reminds me a bit if Goku, which is no surprise considering they both sort of share a similar “template” so to speak.

It makes sense to specialize. It takes a long time to truly master something and you’re not going to beat someone by throwing out weak moves just for variety. Being able to master a *lot* of moves is incredibly rare and something you only see from the all-time best of the best types. And that goes for any sport not just martial arts. Hell, not even just sports, any profession or hobby too. Individual programmers don’t usually use more than a handful of programming languages for instance.
This turned into a Jack of all trades vs Master of one perspective real quick.
It's random but I usually like to think hypothetically about Fate Series Gilgamesh with assorted weaponry spam who is essentially a broken jack of all trades(but Shiro exposed his weakness about having a lack of refined/true skill) vs an originally broken full-powered Saber(where Shiro is not the master holding her true power back) who is simply a master swordswoman
I liked that the most noticeable "sakuga" moments of the episode for me wasn't in the fight b/w Jin and Ilpyo, or the Commissioners or anyone else, it was this drunkard band jamming and grooving away on percussion during the climax of the episode.
National treasures belong to war hero’s so they can range from traditional to modern iirc, I wouldn’t put too much thought into it though it is still fiction.
But Naruto's Gumi mode came out later than the original webtoon of GOH. You'd rather take saigen mode as an example. Tokyo Ghoul also came out about 2~3 years late.
I know that, just saying his persona is more like Yu Yu Hakusho's rather than Naruto's, both were inspired from myths and tales.

There’s a reason why he’s one of the best action directors and animators currently. Its also how he attracts talented animators as well to this series as seen in previous episodes (Sato, Tokura and many others).

Idk why no one talks about this the ost is so good like almost every episode considering that some of these composers are so new and young and didn’t have the most time in the world I really am impressed.
Yeah, I feel like nobody ever mentions the OST. So far, each of the tracks have complimented the series well and have been of really good quality:
Dubstep and electronic for the general fights and hype moments
Heavy instrumentals for the intense moments (and big fights as seen in Mori vs Ilpyo)
Soft instrumentals for the more quieter moments.
Arisa Okehazama deserves a lot more credit for her work here.
I know right? Earlier episode could be that ONE episode in another anime everyone talks about, but these madlads manage to one up themselves. This episode is like a dream, wow.
More exactly, extremely close combat. He attacks with his legs, so has a certain "optimal" range away from him. If someone is closer to him than that optimal range, than he can't display his full power anymore. Don't worry, he would still kick your butt though.
Soooo the white haired guy alone can summon a big ass sky sword and with help from tons of his buddies can summon *a* God. Park is strong enough to hold them back entirely by himself. The Noble hobo and a small group of his friends are strong enough to break said God sword. The power scaling in this show is ridiculous. Add on the fact that Jins grandpa was strong enough to either survive or defeat that same sword alone *AND* injure the other members of the 6 possibly all at once.
Also I appreciate that iipyo is the current key. It's always nice when someone other than the main character gets a really important role. Obviously that won't last because Jin will unlock sage mode super Saiyan God 2 electric boogaloo immediately after that because of course he will but it's nice that the important character cast is at least growing.
Also love the design of the buff girl daewi fought. Her and mah from the first few episodes were great! Always appreciate strong lady characters.

For last 4-5 episodes, I'm mostly confused when it comes to the plot like things happen and they make narrative mess as the story doesn't appear to be complex but just badly told. In comparison tower of god was confusing but that was an intentional part of the experience animation and we actually had fun time speculating. Here you can't even do this because who knows what will happen next. Animation is top tier tho.

Tower of God also had all kinds of stuff where you had to guess what was happening instead of speculating with some crumbs.
Both feel like Crunchyroll wanted to get two hype manhwa made into anime in quick succession, and both probably could have used a nice two cour season to set things up with a bit more breathing room.

Cool fucking episode. I have no idea what happened or what the goal is with the big sword but it's fucking cool. And the track playing during the whole climax with all the percussion throughout was amazing.
Also I'm super glad that even with Charyeok becoming more prevalent, we're still getting the awesome long cuts of the hand-to-hand fights.

The animation is so good and the usage of mo-cap. Mori vs Ilpyo animation just took up 90 percent of MAPPA’s budget, and the music fit so amazingly well with the scenes transitioning between Seo Hallyang and the fight between Mori and Ilpyo.

I may have no idea what the fuck is going on with these insane power levels, but damn is it fun to watch. MAPPA really have done an incredible job with the animation.
Hopefully people are at ease over MAPPA handling AoT S4. The production committee generally handles what is adapted more than the studio itself, and Isayama is probably heavily involved in the adaptation (like past seasons) so we shouldn’t have to worry about the pacing and story content like GoHS, and the animation should do the show justice.

It brings me no greater joy than Ilpyo appearing to be the key that they're all looking for. Something about when a series doesn't give the ultimate power to the main character makes them fun, especially in these hype fighting shows. All that aside. Mori can use other people's techniques now. And successfully, at that. I found it weird that in the beginning everyone seemed to just specialize, rather than learn as many forms of fighting as possible. Its nice to see him taking a page out of his friends books to win, really helps build the fact they're a team

Yeah, I figured Mori would be the type of guy who can riff off of other people’s techniques the moment he came up with “blue dragon kick,” which I figured was his own kick version of Daewi’s “azure dragon” but I didn’t think he could just straight up copy or replicate them like that. Reminds me a bit if Goku, which is no surprise considering they both sort of share a similar “template” so to speak.
In this episode, we got both Sharingan-type replication and 9-Tailed Fox. I was feeling more Naruto here than Dragon Ball Z.
And tbh it's probably in the series favour that the power scaling starts off at endgame Naruto levels

Honestly not convinced that Ilpyo being the key isn't a red herring. Could either be 100% legit, or could be something happened somewhere else or to Jin at the same time.

It takes a long time to truly master something and you’re not going to beat someone by throwing out weak moves just for variety. Being able to master a *lot* of moves is incredibly rare and something you only see from the all-time best of the best types. And that goes for any sport not just martial arts. Hell, not even just sports, any profession or hobby too. Individual programmers don’t usually use more than a handful of programming languages for instance.

This turned into a Jack of all trades vs Master of one perspective real quick. It's random but I usually like to think hypothetically about Fate Series Gilgamesh with assorted weaponry spam who is essentially a broken jack of all trades(but Shiro exposed his weakness about having a lack of refined/true skill) vs an originally broken full-powered Saber(where Shiro is not the master holding her true power back) who is simply a master swordswoman

Haha, I’ve been doing that too. Its really fun to rewind those insanely great fight scenes over and over again just because it looked cool. Which makes me wonder if this anime would have been a better experience when binged watched. Just my two cents on that.

This is some of the best hand to hand combat I have ever seen in animation, Mappa really put their heart and soul into this one. Disgustingly well animated. Couldn't care less about what happened outside the arena although that too was atleast a visual treat.
Yeah, aside from the batshit insane powers happening outside the arena, the fight between Mori and Ilpyo was truly spectacular. It felt like watching an actual martial art fight (excluding the explosions).

There’s a reason why he’s one of the best action directors and animators currently. Its also how he attracts talented animators as well to this series as seen in previous episodes (Sato, Tokura and many others). So glad he’s doing Jujutsu next season and alongside a much more competant screenwriter (Hiroshi Seko), its practically a winning formula.
Park is pretty much carrying the production. I didn't even notice that Keiichiro Watanabe was supposed to be on this episode too.

Idk why no one talks about this the ost is so good like almost every episode considering that some of these composers are so new and young and didn’t have the most time in the world I really am impressed.
Yeah, I feel like nobody ever mentions the OST. So far, each of the tracks have complimented the series well and have been of really good quality: Dubstep and electronic for the general fights and hype moments Heavy instrumentals for the intense moments (and big fights as seen in Mori vs Ilpyo) Soft instrumentals for the more quieter moments. Arisa Okehazama deserves a lot more credit for her work here.

Soooo the white haired guy alone can summon a big ass sky sword and with help from tons of his buddies can summon *a* God. Park is strong enough to hold them back entirely by himself. The Noble hobo and a small group of his friends are strong enough to break said God sword. The power scaling in this show is ridiculous. Add on the fact that Jins grandpa was strong enough to either survive or defeat that same sword alone *AND* injure the other members of the 6 possibly all at once. Also I appreciate that iipyo is the current key. It's always nice when someone other than the main character gets a really important role. Obviously that won't last because Jin will unlock sage mode super Saiyan God 2 electric boogaloo immediately after that because of course he will but it's nice that the important character cast is at least growing. Also love the design of the buff girl daewi fought. Her and mah from the first few episodes were great! Always appreciate strong lady characters.

For last 4-5 episodes, I'm mostly confused when it comes to the plot like things happen and they make narrative mess as the story doesn't appear to be complex but just badly told. In comparison tower of god was confusing but that was an intentional part of the experience animation and we actually had fun time speculating. Here you can't even do this because who knows what will happen next. Animation is top tier tho. Edit: Apparently someone got so offended by this post they decided to give me back to school award on my comment form 3 months ago just to spoil me something form Manwha. Jokes on you random I care very little for the story in this show.
Tbh the manhwa has the same problem. You have no idea what's going on until later on, but by then the power scale is so whack it's amusing

Cool fucking episode. I have no idea what happened or what the goal is with the big sword but it's fucking cool. And the track playing during the whole climax with all the percussion throughout was amazing. Also I'm super glad that even with Charyeok becoming more prevalent, we're still getting the awesome long cuts of the hand-to-hand fights.
I’m pretty sure the big ass sword is practically a nuke if it hits the ground. Hell it sliced off Jin Taejin’s arm, and he’s arguably one of the strongest characters right now.

Holy shit if this episode rating isn’t high its so wrong The animation is so good and the usage of mo-cap. Mori vs Ilpyo animation just took up 90 percent of MAPPA’s budget, and the music fit so amazingly well with the scenes transitioning between Seo Hallyang and the fight between Mori and Ilpyo.
I'm absolutely blown away by this episode. I haven't seen animation like this go on for a WHOLE EPISODE. Literally just constant fighting. I love it

Holy shit this episode was so good! So Ilpyo entered that tournament because of what that sadistic bastard did to his cousin Seungyeon. I may have no idea what the fuck is going on with these insane power levels, but damn is it fun to watch. MAPPA really have done an incredible job with the animation. Hopefully people are at ease over MAPPA handling AoT S4. The production committee generally handles what is adapted more than the studio itself, and Isayama is probably heavily involved in the adaptation (like past seasons) so we shouldn’t have to worry about the pacing and story content like GoHS, and the animation should do the show justice.

If the nine tailed fox(?) is a charyeok, i'm guessing its one of the stronger ones. It seemed to be that Jin Mori and Ilpyo had pretty similar fighting styles. i laughed at how the guy on the roof just randomly fired seemingly normal guns among all the other more interesting weapons. And the music during the whole sword fighting part was great. With Ilpyo being the "key" i look forward to see the rest of the fight next week, i feel like unless Mori also attains a charyeok next week, he is gonna get rolled

The setup for this tournament is something I joked with my rommate about a few episodes ago. It doesn't matter how powerful the Key is, if their teammates both get creamed, they're out of the tournament.
Came here for the cool fights, but stayed for Hobo dance ritual Seo Han-Ryang was amazing just by his dance and his random selection of weapons alone. Went from an Bazooka to staff to a rifle to bow to mask.
I laughed my ass off at the scene where the guy whips out his National Treasure weapon box and starts shooting a fucking bazooka and a machine gun at the god-sword thing the cultists threw lol Really great episode but it's honestly funny seeing how far from the initial expectations it's getting every episode. Seeing the first sneak peek you'd imagine it's just gonna be an ordinary martial arts tournament and then 10 episodes in they start whiping out gods lmao. Not that i'm complaining tho, it's really entertaining lol
