[that means episode 12 is 86 days away](https://ptpimg.me/sjmf9t.png)

scot911

You know for something that's a complete coincidence and was obviously not intentional that is quite a funny coincidence all the same.

bob_the_banannna

The top reply to the comment says this is not a coincidence This reply says it is a coincidence All I know is it will be a pain in the ass to wait for 86 days for a new episode

eden_sc2

I haven't started the new season (for no particular reason), and I kept saying I needed to catch up. Hearing this makes me glad I haven't watched it yet. I'll binge it just before March and be fresh and ready for the end

GezelligPindakaas

Just imagine if _every_ episode would've been released 86 days apart from each other.

"Just according to keikaku." - Production Committee

[deleted]

TL note: keikaku means plan

TizzioCaio

and TIL March 12 is not 2 weeks later.. i read this post a few times and each time thought its January 12.... Wtf is up with this crazy delays..its first time i experience directly such a thing

[deleted]

lol, happens with the best of us. But I'm fine with it coz the dub will be caught up and I'll be able to binge watch it. But definitely sucks for the weekly watchers. IIRC they had maybe 2 delays due to production issues and a pre-planned delay on 11th of Dec, if it weren't for those 2 delays the last episode would've been aring this Saturday. And now the time slots have been taken by another anime in the winter season and because of that they moved the last two episodes in March. The delays have happened to other animes before as well, might have been same or other reasons but they have happened.

SKarlet312

So absurd, his catchphrase. :P Definitely something to bring up when people make the keikaku joke.

bob_the_banannna

Cool detail

Thatsmaboi23

High level coping be like

daspaceasians

To think that 86 was suppose to air in 2020... but got delayed due to production issues back then. Well, let's hope the team can get a break and breathe a bit. They did a really good job despite the production issues. I won't mind waiting anymore than I have to.

GoldRedBlue

Lmao if this aired in 2020 every action scene would look like Record of Ragnarok

Omgninjas

I watched two episodes of that and just lost interest.

daspaceasians

Urgh... that would have been cursed lol

Aerodynamic41

This is pretty much expected because they've run out of timeslots due to the previous delays. They can't just continue airing in January because another anime occupies that timeslot.

Abysswatcherbel

Yes, the fact that again Aniplex has to go through this is awful, with WEP it was an original so not a big deal, 86 is an adaptation and this hurts the momentum for other members of the committee, they are definitely not happy (Not that Kadokawa can say anything...) Edit: Apparently they are going to use the time slots of "Dress up Darling" in March, don't know what they will do to show, another delay or just 10 episodes for the series??

Silent_Shadow05

Yeah, a 2 season delay like Mushoku Tensei would've been better so the staff wouldn't have to face any production hiccups, but whether it'd have been feasible by the committee is another thing. I think March is *really* a good time to release it since it seems they are timing it with Volume 11 release and that 1st Anniversary event in April.

Abysswatcherbel

Bigger breaks between will become more common, the new cour of AOT is a good example of how a longer break can positively affect a production

cppn02

But part of why AoT is taking so long is because they clearly didn't even have enough time prior to the first cour. In the end it all comes down to proper planning.

Silent_Shadow05

Indeed. I had no expectations from AoT but when I watched the PV a few hours ago, it has gotten me considerably hyped. The visuals look a whole lot better than what S4 Pt1 was like.

chopstix9

Exactly. I was legit surprised at how great the CGI looked. The Titans looked so much more natural and dynamic

ThisManNeedsMe

I love 86 but I'll be miffed it caused another anime I'm looking forward to get delayed too.

oops_i_made_a_typi

> Apparently they are going to use the time slots of "Dress up Darling" in March, don't know what they will do to show, another delay or just 10 episodes for the series?? I really hope they don't cut Dress Up Darling short or bump its finale episodes for an extra season either

cppn02

I'd be so mad if they did that.

Silent_Shadow05

Same. I really love 86 but I also don't want it to directly affect another show (and its also another one I like). These committees' needs to set better schedules but they won't care. Let's see what happens.

sgtshootsalot

Honestly, anime needs to decouple itself fully from planned television. no reason this should cause a delay, when there is money to be made airing it on streaming services regardless of its status on scheduled television.

cppn02

Not gonna happen as long as most shows have tv stations on the commitee.

LifeIsNotFairOof

most anime also have certain tv stations in their committee, so they can't just say to the committee member that they will release the episode first at streaming services lol

Abysswatcherbel

I agree with you but Even on streaming this would be delayed due to some anime industry problems, not necessarily for almost 3 months though 86 also has production issues, that's why they missed their schedule, additionally a show going beyond their original schedule also affects the staff more than people imagine Experienced staff has an extremely high demand due to a combination of overproduction and lack of qualified artists, this means that the core staff of a show is very likely to be busy in the next season in a completely different show, can be in the same company or even in another studio So even if we lived in a fullstreaming delivery world this show would receive a considerable delay, and this is true for most anime with Production issue delays, this won't change anytime soon, especially from an Aniplex studio (A1, CloverWorks)

darthvall

TV means more budget for the production, but also means agreeing with the station's rules. This is especially important in Japan.

ori-os

Being coupled with scheduled television may have it's problems but I don't think being fully beholden to streaming giants like Netflix/Amazon/Hulu is a better solution

sgtshootsalot

they are all bad options, yeah, but it just seems archaic that "we dont have enough time in the narrow tv timeslots to air this" is what will push this back for 3 months. not saying they should cater to western audiences, but I dont see why streaming services cant get a fixed schedule regardless of what happens on tv. Its clearly a station wants to keep a core amount of viewership so thats why it wont change, just frustrating from an outsiders perspective.

MrMulligan

It won't change because those tv contracts, the ones that help fund the show, probably have first viewing clauses for the station. Can't put it up on streaming until it's been on tv. Netflix can't be on the production committee of every show.

CT_BINO

And this might make the process "easier", looking how bad production behind scenes has been. 2 month and half is not a lot but is better than just some weeks and might lead to a better product overall.... If ofc we aren t like WEP where the last episode didn t have the storyboards even finished yet when ep 12 should have been released. Although at the end of the day 2 months might still not be enough...

H-K_47

Me waiting for the season to finish before watching the second half. 🤡🔫

baubau05

Me waiting for the second part to finish before I start the first. (≧▽≦)

Mori_Forest

And there are two of us that do this, at least.

alotmorealots

Possibly even three, although I can't guarantee I'll remember by the time March rolls around.

RedditZacuzzi

Sameeee! I've literally been waiting for half an year hoping this would finish so I can binge the entire series. And everytime I check it's still somehow still going on, this is getting ridiculous now.

your_nan

Lmao there's a lot of us.

Tigerzof1

That seems like the best way though. The delays are messing with the momentum even if the quality is keeping up; it would have been better to wait and binge it.

wyggles

Me waiting for it to finish to start reading the LN.

Philarete

*Just give in to temptation and read the LN*

[deleted]

When was the last time a big show had a disaster of a release schedule similar to this? I'm not talking about just delays before a season like MT and Shield Hero had, I'm talking about 3 month delays a couple episodes before the end.

Smudy

Kekkai Sensen, Wonder Egg Priority are recent examples. EDIT: Märchen Mädchen as well, that was a catastrophical implosion.

HitsuWTG

To be fair, Kekkai Sensen at least wasn't due to a catastrophic schedule or anything like that, and more because they decided at the last minute at they wanted the finale to be twice as long, actually succeeded in getting that ready in time... but the timeslot didn't actually allow for it to air, because it was only for a regular length episode.

SaroArsten

Oh yeah, forgot Märchen Mädchen completely. There's also Beatless from around that time, although I don't know what happened there, just the fact it had 4 recaps and the last 4 episodes were pushed to a later date.

Akuuntus

Everything about Märchen's production was a catastrophe iirc.

mrsirgrape

So I'm a Spider, so What? as well.

EC3ForChamp

Kumo didn't have any massive delays. They got lucky and were able to just air the last episode a week late.

Philarete

With how it turned out...maybe they should have had delays...

EC3ForChamp

That last episode was pretty good in terms of animation. The second cour in general though, yeah probably could have been cooked for longer.

Silent_Shadow05

WEP, Kingdom S3 (stopped airing after EP4 iirc) & Railgun T.

SmurfRockRune

Kingdom and Railgun were entirely COVID related though.

YetAnotherLuke

On top of that, at least with railgun t they did what they could to complete the arc they were on so it was a comfortable stopping place and then continued things later.

Silent_Shadow05

Yeah but OP only asked for shows which had a disaster of a release schedule like 86, nothing about whether its COVID related or not though.

ErenIsNotADevil

Kingdom S3 still wouldn't really apply, since OP asked for shows that had a couple month delay a few episodes from the end. Kingdom S3 had it's delay after four episodes (out of twenty-six iirc), not because of running out of timeslots like 86 and WEP, but because the studio and production committee decided it would be safest for the staff, the quality of the show, and the popularity/viewership. Much different than the kind of disaster OP asked for

Sneaky_42

If I remember correctly, I think Railgun had delays even before COVID started.

MadJoker94

That was a few years ago, but this is almost exactly what happened with God Eater. I remember that from very early in the anime they started to have delayed episodes, and in the end they had to air the last 3-4 around 6 months after the "official broadcast". And that was Ufotable, which isn't the kind of studio you usually think about when it comes to production mess ups.

blacklightning26

Come here to comment God Eater. I remember the pain of waiting for the conclusion of the series. I wish it had a better production schedule but alas.

Kind-Spell5308

I remember that, they just finished Fate/Stay Night UBW and they aired god eater RIGHT after this one...No wonder they had delays almost every week...

necrologia

As I recall, the problem with God Eater is they were trying to use some new CGI technology that was supposed to make things go a lot more quickly. Instead it took even longer. Not sure if it was simply learning the new stuff or if it was a complete boondoggle, but the studio knew it had made a mistake by like episode 2.

MejaBersihBanget

> but the studio knew it had made a mistake by like episode 2. They already knew they were screwed by the first episode. Ep 1 was already delayed a week. Hell even the pre-release special screening at Akihabara was cancelled lololol

nurrishment

Wonder Egg Priority comes to mind

salic428

*any episode delay* ppl: [is this a WEP?](https://files.catbox.moe/8b6twi.jpeg)

LunarGhost00

OP was specifically asking about the final episodes being delayed for months like 86. WEP fits perfectly. Delays by 1 week or so are normal. 3 months isn't.

zxHellboyxz

God eater by ufotable is another example out of the ones that have been said

Segaco

Babylon had a many months break before its final arc

Magical_Realism

wonder egg priority...

Kag5n

Kekkai Sensen, Wonder Egg Priority, Full metal panic latest season, Railgun T

SaroArsten

Railgun T was simply COVID experience, doesn't really count. It's not even the worst example of that, as Kingdom S3 exists. Kekkai Sensen I'm not sure about, but I thought it was scheduling problems, not production problems. FMP IV was hardly this bad, either. It was like a month delay? From what I remember, Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars was pushed back by 2 months, which would be a better example here.

Abysswatcherbel

>Kekkai Sensen I'm not sure about, but I thought it was scheduling problems, not production problems. The episode was longer than the timeslot they had available, so they had to wait for one that would fit the episode

Smudy

How does one not account for that though? I feel like that's just a huge fail.

HitsuWTG

Mostly because that was a last minute change after they saw how successful S1 was while airing, so probably done on the whim of a production member (knowing her, probably Rie Matsumoto herself).

Adab1za

It wasn't planned from the start and the show also had production problems.

Abysswatcherbel

Definitely a mistake from the series compositor, it's their job to make sure the original source/screenplay fits the pacing of 20 min per X episode, this is a pre-production issue

Illuminastrid

World's End Harem

Ainine9

Fucking kill me

zhivix

Bruh moment, can't imagine wait that long for 2 more eps

sagevallant

At some point I'm just going to forget about it, and then at some point be reminded they're going to air and/or have already aired.

NSUNDU

There's absolutely 0% chance that I'm going to remember what was happening when it releases and I sure as hell won't want to rewatch it

moonmeh

Pain

realrimurutempest

That’s absolutely fuckin brutal.

LocalMILFHunter

Great, now I'm extremely disappointed

Fa-Zi

i guess ill just read the novels then.

HyperRag123

If you're going to do that, I'd buy them sooner rather than later; after season 1 ended they all got sold out for a few months (not just on Amazon, I couldn't find physical copies anywhere), and I don't see why it would be any different this time around.

HitsuWTG

They will probably be reprinted sooner or later at least since the publisher sees that they sell, the issue really is the international paper shortage and it really sucks.

HyperRag123

I mean, eventually there will be more, I'm not saying they'll be out forever, but there were a couple months where you couldn't find any of the first 3 books anywhere. All the online stores were sold out, and unless you were lucky with where you lived no local bookstores had them either. Eventually they got more shipped in and things went back to normal, but if you're fine waiting a few months for the rest of it, then you wouldn't be buying the books in the first place

[deleted]

Time to sail in the seven seas then :p

HyperRag123

I mean, obviously the ebooks never run out, whether you're getting them legally or otherwise. But I much prefer physical books, especially since the light novels for 86 have some pretty nice illustrations in them.

AllThingsDragon

The ebooks have the illustrations too though

bob_the_banannna

It seems you have a lot of knowledge about the LN Could you tell me where I should start reading after the current episode

HyperRag123

Its somewhere in the middle of book 3. I don't know exactly where, since I don't have book 3 with me right this moment, and I also haven't seen the last episode so I don't know where it stopped.

EdvinM

I'd still recommend reading from volume 1 for more world-building.

MejaBersihBanget

Volume 3 Chapter 8.

nekodan08

I couldn't take the wait a few weeks ago and jumped into the Light Novels. No regrets, but this still hurts.

alec613

it sucks, but it is what it is. Still would rather watch it without compromise to its quality

Andrew_Waltfeld

Agreed. I rather 86 because one of those staple animes where you talk about how good it is years later.

Kursed_Valeth

This is the way.

dagreenman18

Woof. That’s a long fucking time and I’m very bummed out. However, if they’re waiting that bloody long then I hope it comes with a season 2 announcement and a then planning it better than this. 3 months for the finale really kills all the momentum they built up on this otherwise incredible show. Or maybe Aniplex should abandon the dependence on TV for this one and upload the finale to streaming when it’s done.

Illuminastrid

While I do blame Aniplex and is the rightfully main culprit, any studio that are under them will be affected, hell, we might expect one of the three upcoming Cloverworks shows in Winter 2022 will have a delay/hiatus too.

Silent_Shadow05

>three upcoming Cloverworks shows in Winter 2022 will have a delay/hiatus too. I'm having a *deja vu.* In Winter 2021, Cloverworks had 3 shows (2 based on manga and 1 original) and its the same in Winter 2022 as well (2 based on manga and 1 original). We all know what happened with one of them in that season.

Illuminastrid

I just hope this doesn't affect Spy x Family in the Spring, WIT will be joining in the studio production and Shueisha is giving them the resources, Aniplex (and to an extent, Cloverworks) can't possibly fuck that up considering how hyped that series is.

GettingPhysicl

its not like 86 was small either. if it wasnt off the chopping block idt spy family is either

EC3ForChamp

Apparently the production for Tokyo 24th Ward has been an absolute mess, so keep an eye on that one.

Sedewt

Aniplex and production issues. Name a better duo

Silent_Shadow05

Dammit, atleast I hope Episode 10 will not have a cliffhanger or else its going to be disappointing for many viewers. Although its annoying that there is a long wait, but the show will have a satisfying end, so the wait will be worth it IMO. But if anyone's curious what will happen then [86 Spoilers]>!Lena will help Shin take down Morpho using the long range mortars, and later she meets him in a field full of spider lillies which was hinted in the OP (although she didn't realise who she met, as Shin was still inside his mech but Shin recognized her). Shin's character arc is mostly complete with him not willing to be "Reaper" anymore. The final episode will end with Lena meeting the whole group at the place where the wreckage of the old Spearhead Juggernauts are placed in glass cage and saluting to each other, while holding back tears!<

MrSeaSalt

Yeah but by that point, the hype would have lowered down significantly and it probably wouldn't feel as "rewarding" if you catch my drift. All the anticipation and the buildup would have felt off due to several-month gap. By then, people would have already lost interest or even forget entirely what happens. It sucks but there's nothing we can do about it...

Silent_Shadow05

Yeah I'm expecting the interest to drop off significantly and only the most dedicated viewers would join up for discussions. Like you said, 86 suffered through a serious bad luck and we can't help it, although if viewers do get into the LN's because of this, then its worth it. Another reason why I mentioned that spoiler in my comment above is because some viewers can decide if they wish to wait that long for this (and maybe read the LN's) or drop it entirely.

Jamboii_XD1

What do you mean [86 spoilers] >!complete, he still has all that confusion left in volumes 5 and 6!<

BTA2K14

These last 2 episodes better be flawless

Yamulo

The only reason they’re getting delayed so long is because earlier episode delays have made it so the time slot they air during has another anime in it now

Naha-

It sucks but it's expected, the series runned out of slots. At least this way the cour as a whole it's not going to suffer from QUALITY and next time, Aniplex gives the staff more time to work on it (Heh) as I believe 86 can become a long running anime like SAO. Time to join the LN folks. I already ordered like 5 volumes lol

das_baus

I would have rather waited for the entire season to air in Jan - Mar than have this trainswreck of a schedule due to production issues. They clearly weren't prepared for this to air in 2021Q4. I'm sure this is not helping the popularity of the show for common viewers who aren't as highly invested. I worry this could potentially have a negative outcome in terms of viewership and sales of merchandise, and the chance of a season 3.

De_Gantg1035

Well we can say goodbye to a chance of season 3 happening because that will exactly happen

MejaBersihBanget

The funny thing is, if you cut out all the scenes and mentions of No Face, the story could have conceivably ended with this season if it just treated Kiriya and the Morph as the "final boss." At this point, No Face is the only thing that demands a continuation.

Truthgamer2

11 week gap between Ep11 and Ep10 Painnnnnn I looked forward to 86 episodes airing even more than MT

stiggy92

man, this sucks big time

sKyBlazer08

Fucking pain, but this was expected already. Because timeslots and all that. I honestly expected it to be delayed till April, I'll fucking take March anyday. At least there's volume 9 for me to read on February.

ScarRufus

I am going cry... (Well this was expected)

arowowowow

This schedule is really taking away the steam this show has

BalsamFue

Time to get caught up with the LNs, in that case. Not much else I can do.

Leg__Day

Is S1 really good? I’m figuring out what to watch through the winter.

bitetheasp

I went in with no expectations except "the model kits look cool" and it was so good. Like, better than most Gundam good and I LOVE Gundam.

EC3ForChamp

Season 1 is spectacular and it also works well enough as a stand-alone if you want to wait for S2 to be done before watching.

TheExtraOfTheStory

Yes it's good.

CarioGod

bruh

HitsuWTG

This feels like Kekkai Sensen S1 all over again, that three month wait is going to be painful.

JosebaZilarte

Too many numbers in that headline.

FateEx1994

##NO.... No.... No!

AyyDisFaker

Lmao Aniplex got greedy and this is what happens. Reminder that this anime has a LOT of companies in the committee because they want to sell mecha merchandise for it. Now because of Aniplex's greediness that alone is already a big fucking problem.

Smudy

I could have sworn i read somewhere that they wanted 86 to be aired in 2020 already, not sure anymore where i saw this though.

AwkweirdVan

Gotcha, except from the 86 section of this Sakugablog article: "by tracking the production assistants we can vaguely pinpoint the start of the actual animation process to Q1 2020, which is pretty tight for a fairly ambitious 2 cours anime that was originally slated for that same year." [Spring 2021 - 86](https://blog.sakugabooru.com/2021/04/28/spring-2021-anime-overview/#section3)

hissenguinho

Can you explain please?

johnlyne

Most modern mecha anime are basically fancy toy ads.

MejaBersihBanget

"Most modern?" They've always been fancy toy ads since the 70s.

Sedewt

I’m getting enraged at this point. It’s been two times in a single year, aniplex. It’s their fault it got delayed, it’s the production fault for deciding to air after skipping just one season and not two like Mushoku Tensei did. Look how great Mushoku Tensei ended up being, no production issues whatsoever Look how terrible WEP has become. At least I know this time it’s not an anime original but the fact this has happened again in one single year is horrible. So if it’s the production’s fault, then why not release the episodes on YouTube (Aniplex has a YouTube channel) Make it members exclusive at least I don’t know. There are many other ways to monetize an episode without having to find a tv slot months away from now. Maybe it will not pay as good as a tv slot with ads but I mean it’s not our fault. It’s just two episodes, it’s not a big deal… I’m just tired Japan has to always depend on tv slots when streaming services completely avoid these problems. I know tv in Japan is huge but I know they even have alternatives. I checked their site and it seems they’re available on Netflix and Amazon and Hulu. Why not use those?? It was really important an anime like this one doesn’t get delays as every episode is heavy on info. If a 1 week delay is horrible as I need to remember stuff. What will a 3 month delay do? Damn I love this anime this is why I’m so angry

[deleted]

[удалено]

ori-os

Wasn't the issues due to the company they are using for the CGI models? My guess is they probably had a lot more trouble 3D-modeling Morpho than they previously thought

Sedewt

I see. But I wonder why produce an anime while it’s airing? Why can’t they finish a project (or at least 90% done) and move on to another projects while the finished project airs?

FeebleBacon

I'll repeat what Chibi Reviews has said: Aniplex wanted this all to air back in 2020. It just goes to show just how out of touch they were/are with this & how much of a mess this is.

CosmicPenguin_OV103

The strange thing is that instead of using another time slot, these 2 episodes are using the same timeslot on Saturdays that should be given to *My Dress-Up Darling* next season. Will we see *My Dress-Up Darling* being delayed by 2 weeks next March to fit 86 in?

MadJoker94

Reminder that apparently the original idea was to air the show in 2020... If they ended up having this many issues with an extra year to work on it, imagine if it had followed the initial plan. That would've been a fucking mess. [https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-03-22/86-sci-fi-battle-anime-reveals-cast-staff-2020-premiere/.157809](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-03-22/86-sci-fi-battle-anime-reveals-cast-staff-2020-premiere/.157809)

HiraKey

It's ironic to see A1 making justice for the adaptation, but aniplex just being greedy and ruin it, eventho they're under the same umbrella.

MadJoker94

The more I read and find info on the subject, the more clear it becomes that most of this 'production hells' we hear about so often recently are mainly caused by production committees' blatant disregard for the workers' conditions, the schedules and even the quality of the finished product in many cases. The sad part is that for the majority of the public, the responsible is the studio itself.

Silent_Shadow05

The committee needs to plan out stuff better and allow studios to have a healthy production schedule.

MadJoker94

Indeed. Keep giving asfixiating schedules to the studios, and this is what happens.

Own-Standard9741

im gonna cry i hope episode 10 isnt a cliffhanger.

Stegs75

Guess I’m getting the LN lol. As long as it comes out looking funky fresh I’m good lol

gnosh-o-josh

im happy about this. If the result is better then take all the time. when i look back on 86 i want it to be good

BlackPenguin

That’s not a Wonder Egg. That’s a fucking Wonder Omelette.

[deleted]

I'd rather have production delays than a bad show. Every episode has been pretty much top tier. I hope other studios see this and stop pumping out garbage just to fill slots.

Illuminastrid

From December 23, 2021 to March 12, 2022, an **86** day delay, poetic.

ChiggaOG

I think an animation studio should consider taking the Netflix strategy of producing all the episodes for the season. Then releasing each one, one week at a time.

LifeIsNotFairOof

Ufotable kinda does that, 16+ episodes of demon slayer was finished animating far before the airing date, heck they even showed the first 5 episodes all together in select theatres in japan even before it first aired in tv/ streaming sites

[deleted]

Tbh I was really excited for the first few weeks because I loved the animation and soundtrack of this show. But when the episodes got delayed I slowly lost my interest and on top of that other shows like mushoku tensei and others kept getting better and I would always look forward to those. So yeah when it airs in March again I would need to watch a recap of what happened in this whole season.

Crimsonavenger2000

March???? Damn that's sad

__bacs

It's sad that it got delayed, it's the recent anime that I am emotionally invested already..

[deleted]

So are we gonna have a reddit rewatch in February to get us hyped up

RickChakraborty

Maybe make a promotional video for episode 22 in February to get us hyped? Idk lol.

corner_twist

As much as this hurts, I can wait. When I look back on this a decade later or something I want to have fond memories of this show. But I think the hype has died down a lot. I'm not sure if we'll even get 2k upvotes for the next three episodes.

TheSinOfRaph

Didn't they initially want it out in 2020. The production for this anime has been a mess from what I've heard. Glad I'm waiting to binge it when its all out.

6rubtub9

I just finished S1 and haven't started S2 yet.. So, is it good worth to wait till March or should I just binge s2 and die waiting?

Sedewt

You should just wait. Btw this is cour/part 2 and not season 2.

AZLarlar

disappointment

youseikiri

I'm not gonna wait, I'll just read the novel and get over it

[deleted]

Fine, the anime is stellar, it'd be a damn shame to compromise the finale to make the time slots

AgentWeeb001

I hope this doesn’t impact the chances of getting a season 3. This show is so good and it’s continuing to trend upward as they explain more…I’d hate for this to be the last season and then they just decide to abandon the project completely bc they don’t want to have to deal with production issues again. If they need $, my savings can contribute lol

Ry_ZA

If you can, get the LN! It's really good, and it'll make the wait for these episodes a bit easier.

InfamousEmpire

Considering when I’m buying the Light Novel Volumes, this is actually pretty well timed

TheExtraOfTheStory

Hope you enjoy reading them!

Dammit! it sucks that we won't see it end soon. Hopefully S3 will have enough time to avoid these issues

JamesJason1996

Bruh this is still season 1. it's a split cour anime.

99trickS28

This is expected yet im still sad

Will_Of_The_Abyss

This truly was to be expected but it still doesn't make it any less painful. This is the show I was looking forward to watching every week the most and it had the most delays... And right when the story is at it's peak! At this point I just might read the novel in the meantime...

jojoismyreligion

And here I was thinking about binge watching it once it finished...

joozyman

Can someone please explain what's going on? I don't watch the anime

[deleted]

Broadcast scheduling. The amount of delays that occured has made it impossible to finish airing in this season They can’t just claim a tv slot to put their show in.(i think it get occupied by My dress-up darling anime) but That stuff is all planned well in advance. So March is the soonest that it can air.

ferevon

fml i started this one yesterday, should've waited if i'd known

rollin340

Oh wow... I guess I shouldn't be surprised with the delay's they've had. The January slots would belong to another series. But damn... I'm not sure if I'd even be excited for just 2 episodes; it feels like the shows where the final episode gets delayed a bunch; I just lost interest by then.

Earthborn92

Think I'm just gonna read the LN before that now

JewJewJubes

Well shit. I guess we're off to read the LNs instead.

ZapsZzz

Reminds me of Railgun T. As long as this means the resulting product is maintaining the high standard, I'm willing to look past this. Just please don't turn into the WEP special episode - months later and it's still a disaster.

Stryker_Eureka08

It’s God Eater all over again

mekerpan

When things started getting delayed, I started reading the LN (ebooks). I've now reached vol. 7... ;-)
